I think this is what Nicholas Otmendi was talking about when he said he dreamt about playing for Man City as a little boy
So funny I nearly laughed
Probably so. Witnessed the drama of this incredible game, all those city fans at Wembley & thought it would be amazing to win a Premier League title. And guess what he did it. Well done Nico. Oh btw it's otAmendi 💀😂😂😂

@TheWoodIsPoo Theres deffo fans from both sides there. I remember being in Manchester when all those Ol' Blue Eyes is back posters were up for Sven becoming manager. My mates were United Supporters apart from one who supported City and I'm a Liverpool supporter and we collectively ripped the shit out of him, cos lets face it, the team were crap and they had just appointed Eriksson as manager (we all knew how that was gonna pan out). Liverpool had won The Champ League a few years before and the FA Cup the last season and United were vacuuming up titles like a bunch of twats, and here were City who'd not long come out of the 2nd division.
I'll gladly take banter shit all day long from United fans, but there's this new wave of City fans out there who probably couldn't name the manager in charge before Mancini who are out there trying to throw shade and just embarrassing themselves. Got plenty of respect for the likes of the Gallaghers and the lads who went the Maine Road during the worst of times. They are the true supporters of City, some of this new crop of fans are just a joke.
yes agree with that
I love Noel blaming the crowd heckling on the possibility that they thought he was Liam. That is hilarious!

From an outsiders point of view, Man City seemed to have so much more character and personality back then. If all these glory hunters didn’t get involved it would be such a special club.

this was Noel post cocaine, seemed alot more coherent than in previous interviews from the 90's lol
@Bryan McDade the drug fuelled album was be here now in 97 mate, Noel had quit drugs by 98, he's gone on record in many interviews talking about it

@@DarthQueefious Lol. Can you believe what the english media have done to brainwash fans like this. As if City could have been any club, as some try and tell it(Everton and Newcastle fans are probably the only ones who can say it). Not a sleeping giant in their own right, as Sheikh Mansour himself described the club. They were in 2008: Still top 10 in major honours despite the trophy drought, still had(since they broke English records for attendances in times gone by that stood for many years) one of the largest loyal fanbases in English football. Who else would get 30k+ in the 3rd tier? They were already twice champions of England before the takeover. Even being champions of England, have these fans got any idea how exclusive that list is? 2 Is the same amount as Spurs have today, 1 more than Chelsea had when they were bought. People like to say Spurs are small and that Chelsea were small... but they aren't/weren't really and everyone knows it. So how is it some actually believe it when it's City... Other than the beginning of the PL era coincided with City's worst era since reaching the top flight(4 seasons in a row and one yoyo season after that) and they know nothing outside of that era. Despite those 5 seasons, City still have more topflight seasons than 95% of all english clubs(only 5 clubs have more), but supposedly "they're a small club from the championship" though... go figure. I could go on but it's like a certain amount of english fans are always going to like the lies better than the reality, so it's a waste of time educating them.
There's much more to why they bought City than them just being in the league. Being the in a big city like Manchester is definitely a big part of it. No chance they'd have bought Gillingham
