Have you tested FSR 3 yet?
I don't care about Forspoken and Immortals so no. But I'm very keen to try it on starfield and see if it can fix the awful CPU bottleneck feeling in certain parts of the game
@@KrisDee1981 i dont think you can, pls share a video or link that shows this.

Si se puede starfild pero sólo frame generacion a traves del controlador AMD que a salido ayer en beta pero ya es compatible a trabes del el controlador de AMD pueden buscarlo
downloaded the beta drivers , as i havea 7900xtx that means i can just turn it on at driver level on any dx11 and dx 12 game. its very impressive (300 fps in cyberpunk on ultra ) but as i tend to hit my monitors refresh rate without frame gen .. not really a lot of use to me, but im sure it will be great for older cards or in a few years , very impressive tech
Thank you so much for the visual comparison!
It’s very close, I’m just happy we might begin to see this tech on the consoles.
Yes I'm glad invidia got a good competition, now there is no even less of a reason to upgrade for their cards even tho it's still a bit better
The devs of Immortals of Aveum said FSR3 is coming to consoles soon.
I disagree that it’s “very close.” It’s a good start, get it’s far behind DLSS3 in numerous ways
@@teddyholiday8038 You do know my comment is because of my observation from the video right ? If you look at the video you can’t see that big of a difference, the point is for the casual gaming consumer fsr3 is more then enough and it will give the consoles a great boost that they very much need, but yes DLSS is better but again the average consumer don’t care only the elitist.
@@BA3YDADDY I don’t care. I’ve tested both.
implementing this for consoles is where it will be most beneficial imo
Only if the console can achieve 60 fps, using frame gen with a 30 fps baseline is going to have hideous input delay
@@Spr1ggan87 yes, 60 fps target please lol
To be honest sometimes it feels like companies optimize the game for console really well and when it's time to port it to PC, it's considerably worst like the Last of Us.
PC will benefit more since it's lauching for both amd and nvidia cards, new and younger cards.
EDIT: Didn't know consoles had fsr2.0, prob gonna get fsr3 in a couple weeks/months.
Hey turning a 60fps game into a 120 is still great.
Unbiased and to the point, loved it subbed it
The upscaling is still being done with fsr 2.2.1 according to AMD.
FSR”3” is just a new generation now the upscaling tech being a new version, alltho i hope they improve this still. I agree DLSS still does upscaling better.
The frame generation itself is fantastic tho! I saw zero visual issues with it with fast movement
Any comparisons available for TSR? Was playing Robocop Rogue City and TSR ran a little better than DLSS for that particular game.
I tested it also in the demo, it seems like the ui elements like the gps marker are still rendered in lower fps, which really seems off looking at the picture. is it the same with dlss fg?
Can't say I've ever experienced it using DLSS FG on my 4090
DLSS is made for Nvidia , which FSR 3 doesnt and still work fine not great but at this point to be expected with time will also improved , its nice that on this front we have competition good times for who owns old cards and AMD :)
as a 7900xtx owner i now have FMF on all DX 11 and dx 12 games. sure its the beta drivers but i was getting 300 fps in cyber punk (ultra) it tanks down to 50 with full path tracing +ultra but not caring about RT was why i went AMD anyway.. like dlss 3 i dont really see the point im using chill anyway to reduce frames in everything but for older cards or in a few years..
or if in the future it lets me use chill and frame gen...
To my eyes FSR 3 looks to have more consistent (better) frame pacing when compared to DLSS in this video, DLSS looks like it's micro stuttering.
Forespoken uses DLSS 2.5 the latest Is DLSS 3.5 found in Cyberpunk 2077 as of update 2.0 for the game.
You must be blind. That frame pacing is terrible with FSR3!
It's not an accurate representation of either by any stretch in that regard because the footage has been recorded at 60 (im assuming) and CZcams only allows 60 fps max on their platform so unless the footage is locked at 60 and recorded at 60 the only metric representing frame pacing would be the frametime graph which is pretty much identical with both and 1% lows.
When do you think the ps5 version will arrive
I'm new to pc gaming, what is the fps overlay your using?
The overlay is MSI Afterburner/Rivatuner. I believe the overlay is a Rivatuner thing however this is included as part of MSI Afterburner so that's how most people get it
fsr 3 generation cannot be turned on when the frame counter is below 60, otherwise it will not work properly
There's a preview driver for 7000 series cards that's got support for 20 games using frame gen including starfield. Gonna try it tonight.
let us know your findings
@jesseanderson1904 yeah looks choppy and no HDR or VRR which is very bad.
thats not quite right , 20 games it auto uses with HYPR FX (sp?) we have per game option to use FMF on ALL dx 11 and dx12 games NOW , ALL of them!
@@theriddick bear in mind CZcams is locked to 60 fps, your not seeing it as it is, im hitting 300 fps in cyberpunk ultra 3-4 ms frame times settings which is frankly a lot higher than my monitors Refresh rate so a bit of a waste but even on this its pretty damn smooth and snappy
Talking about fluid motion frames not Hyprx@@01talima
Por fin el fsr 3 es compatible con ps5???
I really think you need an actual AMD card to test FSR 3 fairly. I suggest you watch my video comparison
So fsr3 is crisper but has also more shimmerimg artifacts. Even more fps than dlss cam pans arent so smooth.
Need this on Series X and PS5!
Where is the shimmering? Might help a lot if you point it out with a square/circle in the video because I pause and ran it back and oculdn't find any shimmering when you mentioned it.
It's usually very noticeable on foliage imo. CZcams compression doesn't do these comparisons favors tho
Yeah, there would be no DLSS frame generation on an RTX 3080 from Nvidia, there is however with FSR3.
I really really hope this will help with boosting fps above 60 on consoles
i just dont understand how a lot of these games run so bad, they dont look particularly insane or anything, most should run 80-100fps more than they look in my opnion, or even higher on 4080s/4090s at like 1080p
Maybe it's all the realtime rendering instead of baked lighting?
If you play these games you would see why they are demanding
@@DonaldHendleyBklynvexRecordsplayed them and still doesn't get why they are so demanding. In terms of graphics it's barely better than something like witcher 3.
Wait, frame generation on FSR is working on a 4080?
Yes it does
@@GamingTech-CZcams that's fantastic, Thanks.
I see the Starfield controller. Love it!!
"The picture is a little bit blurry compare to NVIDIA DLSS" - i guess videos are switched because FS3 image in the clip (4:35) looks sharper.
Is HDR work with FSR 3 ?
Yes i got qd oled and played with hdr on and fsr3
Unfortunately, this seems not to be the ideal game to test for image quality.
I installed the demo and the first thing I noticed, is that foliage has extreme shimmering and pixelating artifacts when camera is in motion, in both fsr and dlss (even with 0 sharpening). That smells of bad implementation of technology, dlss especially is great on dealing with that, even on performance modes (Horizon Zero Dawn, Uncharted or Kena are good examples).
Yeah, played this on PS5 picture quality was horrible from start to finish. It's like JJ Abrams was 14 and had been born in Japan.
FSR is not even in the ballpark. It’s getting there. But the “shimmering” that fsr can produce is VERY NOTICEABLE.
Yes unfortunately that's a big issue
thats because its not a 7k series card, on my 7900xtx I dont have these issues
Fsr3 is the frame gen thing the normal upscaling even it says fsr3 is just old 2.1
OMG.... that is true! no new upscaling algorithm, just fake frames + fsr 2.x..... The cake is a lie!
You testing imput lag on.... CONTROLER over BT ?? WTF
and then Fluid Motion comes to the adrenaline drivers and bombs everything in sight.
That is something I will go to Digital Foundry for
But you are still commenting here 😁
Sadly, according to DF and also AMDs own publication about the technical details from yesterday, GSYNC/VRR/FREESYNC is not supported and I assume never will.
Even DLSS FG didn't support VRR at launch. Nvidia added support much later on. The same will be the case for FSR 3 FG.
@@kishaloyb.7937 DLSS3 only lacked Vsync Support for VRR and frame-capping at launch. It always supported VRR.
how do you assume this?
works for me lol
also no HDR at all. I tested it with CP77 and it looked worse then with it disabled and playing with VRR+HDR
immortals of aveum has FS3 and DLSS 3.5 frame generation, for better head to head testing
I don't have this game on PC :-(
Probé FSR 3 en una RX 580 Y se ve nítido sin fallas solo que a mí me da 30 a 40 FPS era obvio ya que tengo que tener una tarjeta más potente ..
Honestly it's very difficult to see difference between both...
yet some jumps to the conclusion its shit
DLSS3 will always have the edge since its using the DLSS upscaling instead of FSR.
Both upscaling and framegen introduce artifacts and AMD will always have more of them.
Why the heck is everyone testing AMD tech on Nvidia cards? I'm yet to see a reviewer test on a 7000 series card
Так удобнее сравнивать DLSS и FSR
I cant feel any frame generator lag when playing with controller. But with keyboard and mouse it can be felt with ease.
I was surprised that starfield wasn't one of the first games to use this feature since they had a marketing thing with AMD.
Maybe my 1050 ti will last longer with this thing 😂, i wish to see a test with fsr 2 vs fsr 3 on older graphics cards like mine.
sadly you need 2000+.
FSR3 cannot be enable on 1000 series.
@JustMe-jj6lm of really? I heard that it should "work on any card" I saw a video of someone trying it with the steam deck and it was pretty broken, idk if you meant for something like that but maybe it'll be improved over time.
Although I'd probably upgrade my pc at some point anyway, for now I can still play most games when it's well optimized.
@@E2STOPTVcheck here is more in debt www.dealntech.com/fsr-3-supported-gpus-games/
@@E2STOPTV You are all mixing FS3 with Frame Gen. You can run FSR3, but not Frame Gen.
DLSS will always be a step ahead of FSR, but still quite impressive. Software upscale just can't beat hardware.
I don't know, but the quality looks the same to me
FSR 3 has shimmering on very fine details. DLSS not.
@@GamingTech-CZcams i couldn't see any on a phone. Thanks
FSR 3 upscalling IS SO MUCH BETTER than FSR 2. It is many times better, less shimmering and looks great compared to fsr 2.1 like in cyberpunk. 2.1 fsr in cyberpunk looks horrible to me on quality!!! So excited for FSR 3 to come to cyberpunk and starfield hopefully and will make the game so much better!
but really its so fkn close to DLSS I wouldn't really see the difference when not looking on direct comparison!
One locked for specific generation
One doesnt
VRR doesn't work with FSR3 killed it for me
If you have a game you're not getting good frame rates with it's better to use frame generation than it is to use VRR.
I'll take 80fps with frame generation over 45fps with vsync
Your meant to turn on vsync with frame gen
@@paulcox2447 Or how about I use a frame generator that works with VRR like DLSS3?
@@BlueMax109 and?
@@user-yf9dp5ln6c so.....VRR isn't going to matter if you have vsync enabled
No VRR or HDR is a deal breaker for me. Shame.
No hdr??
My rtx 3090 become one of the best cards again. Thx amd that i not need to get an rtx 4070ti because my 3090 is banging away the 4070ti
FSR has so much flickering in this game.
Frame generation was trash until it became available for the old gen 😂
from what I've seen DLSS may be the better upscaler but FSR 3 and DLSS 3 fram generation is about the same
Should be a way to use DLSS with AMD Frame generation, because FSR will never be as good as DLSS
Image quality a step behind DLSS but undeniably very very impressive considering it is a software solution rather than a hardware accelerated one. And available to all! I'm an owner of an RTX GPU, but I'd have absolutely no qualms about using FSR3 if the overall performance is this good.
I feel like this channel put too much unfair emphasis on DLSS still being superior - as if it's not to be expected. Yes we know that tensor cores make for better upscaling. But AMD have really come on leaps and bounds with their once unusable FSR tech. That's worth celebrating and kudos to their development teams for the advancements they brought to the table.
He's just being honest, he in no way put emphasis, even praised amd for being open source, just stated facts that nvidia is better in terms of quality till now, that's what a review is.
u cant tell the difference because ur using a controller.
U can only tell a difference with a mouse.
FSR3 more blurry? You must be joking, I tested DLSS and FSR3 side by side, DLSS is more blurry.
Make sure you disable motion blur, then do the test.
FSR 3 has shimmering on very fine details. DLSS not.
Fsr has so much flickering on distance objects
@killermoon635 that’s always been my main issue with FSR: flickering on objects. It lacks the image stability that DLSS has even at lower internal render resolution. Starfield is a prime example, the DLSS mod fixes pretty much all flickering.
Considering that AMD got into into FSR nearly 2.5 years later than Nvidia and they are that close to quality!
change encodeur av1 is better
Thank You.
This game is terrible optimize!
The vegetation specially in movement looks awfull with fsr3 and frame generation.
FSR3 runs best on 7k series cards, I hate so many reviewers are testing this on Nvidia card and passing it off as the end all be all, my 7900xtx looks wat better because of the A.I cores its tapping into, sameway Nvidias uses its cores, Its not fair to FSR3 unless saying ok this is subpar on other cards besides 7k series cards would be more accurate
The only difference when running it on a 7k AMD card is that you can use anti lag +.
@@AbrahamZX1yeah which is true. The 7000 series cards are just sitting there with A.I cores that do nothing. I have a 7900xtx and god I just want AMD to be a little selfish and just use them damn A.I cores to increase the quality of their tech in their own hardware :/ that or at least allow RoCm to memic cuda
I struggle to see the difference, all I do see is that FSR3 is faster in general and is pretty much hardware agnostic.
FSR 3 has shimmering on very fine details. DLSS not.
fsr is much sharper and detailed compare to dlss, i have a 2060 super and in general i like dlss but not in this game, its so much blurry, only downside is the annoying flicking with fsr @@ZeeeBest_
FSR3 is way way better , it does n o t need a NV GPU !!!! and it does n o t need an RTX 4xxx for FG it works with AMD , NV , Intel and even on older GPUs back to RTX 2xxx and RX 5xxx
Yes , there is a slight shimmering sometimes on far distant objects but you will only notice it if you stand still and look out for Differences , not on the move or when fighting , if you think DLSS is far superior , then simply use it ... , good luck with activate FG on a 3080 or 2080 TI ..... . Besides , you can use FMF ( FG) without upscaling with native resolution as well .
For me it looks good , with FSR Quality + FMF i get 140-160 FPS on my 6800 XT in 1440p czcams.com/video/BWovG8BHGFE/video.html
Tell you my main reason why fsr3 hands down is much better than dlss3 for me. I have a 3060 rtx oc 12gb and I can't use frame gen on dlss cause nvidia says so. AMD on the other hand says "here ya go bud. Will help ya out."
In this game fsr 3 looks better than dlss around 15%. And FG is good but it feels those frames are fake. Tested this game with 3080ti and got fps x3 compare to native
FSR 3 has shimmering on very fine details. DLSS not.
@@GamingTech-CZcams maybe on 4000 series has shimmering, but on 3080ti its better to use fsr. I have good monitor alienware qd oled with 1000 nits so I can see clearly.
@mateuszo_o9821 you think there is a difference between gpu's ? I am using High End Oled TV's and I can clearly see shimmering with FSR 3.
Have you tried to turn vsinc on? Feels much better visually
Yeah i use vsync and its ok and I capped fps to 120 No sense for more
Dont think this is a good use case. Forspoken is actually a horrible looking game, it's so visually muddy, the over use of particle effects destroy the image clarity. And the acrual world is visually boring.
So finally AMD copied another Nvidia technology? Fine. Maybe i can buy AMD ruined titeles than. Is frame gen already patched into starfield or jedi survivor?
DLSS uses bespoke hardware, FSR1/2/3 does not.
This is like comparing a porche to a fiat.
Are you able to do a fifa one🤍
Maybe some modder will forge amd fg with dlss. That would be great because fsr upsale is quite awfull 🤭
Not even close. Team Green wins yet again.
