This MK5 Golf GTI hasn't moved for a while, and it really needs a bit of love to get it back on the road. The question is, can we get through all the bits needed for an MOT in one video? We can certainly give it a shot!

The gray grille idea will look quite smart, it will set the front off quite nicely with the fresh silver wheels too. Hope the golf sails through the MOT! Also very excited to hopefully see some Polo content in the near future, I need more motivation to do more bits to mine 😅

Yeah just needs something to break the front end up I think! Fingers crossed 🤞 Really struggling to find an engine for the polo but think thats the next stage!

@@matimcfetridge I’ve always thought about chucking another set of wheels on mine, but I think the original bbs suit the mk5 if money wasn’t an issue I would go for a nice set staggered split’s

Silver was a great choice, it got me considering whether to change mine back to silver. I like the idea with the grill, the image you inserted looks fresh. Looking forward to seeing how that turns out.
At one point it looked like you had washed it, but in the next frame the cobwebs were back!

Looks class now with those silver wheels and ps5's. Those headlamps are the optional Xenons so would stand those halogen bulbs changed for Xenons at some point. They also come with headlamp wash and automatic levelling so hopefully that all works fine for the mot in case the tester gets arsey. Can't wait to see how you get on.

They are Depo headlights unfortunately, no leveling or washers but just look like the xenon units! Thanks for watching mate!

@@matimcfetridge I've seen someone put a 1.4 AFH 16v engine in a mk2 polo before. He converted it to throttle bodies and carbs and it sounded lovely, was about 140bhp if memory serves. Was an awesome bit if kit and shouldn't be to hard to find an AFH. It came from the mk3's.
