In this video, we are specifically focusing on Social Security, SSDI, Social Security survivors and Social Security spousal benefits as far as how much these benefit checks may be increasing as a result of a recent announcement. Here on the channel as we are always talking about fixed income benefits administered by the Social Security administration, we wanted to specify these groups of individuals and we will make a dedicated video for those people receiving SSI, supplemental security income. However, in this video we are discussing a potential Social Security check increase amount based on a percentage from a recent economic data point that was released.

That is a bunch of crap the low income should get more damn money what the hell is wrong with this system
Just because, you are low income that’s not a give me entitlement nor should no one expect a free handout for everything just because, you are a low income individual! The low and fixed income done receive benefits though out the year, with help so, you can afford a roof over your head through Low Income Housing Options, you get food benefits every month to help you eat grant it isn’t much but, it’s better than nothing, then, there’s Medicaid and Medicare and, they are paying one’s medical bills, that’s a heavy chunk of money no one has to come up and pay for themselves, then, I -HEAP Heating Assistance Program they are helping people in the winter paying to keep them warm and keep their electric on. Then, if you need an air conditioner or a fan you get those given to you through the Wheatherization program and, the I -HEAP Program! You get free government commodities/ food / pantry items delivered to you for free, then, not to mention if you are 62 yrs or older you get given free Farmer’s Market Vouchers! If you are young family you get help with free childcare and pre- schoolers with the Head Start Program, The Angel Tree Program which is Assistance for Christmas on top of housing and all other monthly benefits! Then, if you are disabled or have a disabled child or a child with a learning disability there’s help with all kinds of assistance with respite care, medical products insurance normally doesn’t pay for, through the Counsel On Aging There’s Med Waivers! Right there’s quite a bit of money the government is dishing out for the low and fixed income families that is quite a hefty expense! If people or families had to pay out of pocket for these expenses there’s no way they could pay for it on their own! No one should be thinking the government should be paying beyond that! Learn to be grateful for what you do have and, stop expecting that you’re entitled to more and more! 10:11

There are 2 programs to help people that are very low income. The Medicare Savings program and Extra Help. an individual making less than $1200 does not have to pay Medicare and the Extra Help program pays for prescriptions.

I read multiple news articles that the expected COLA for next year would be less then 3.2%. My rent is going to go up a minimum of 7.5% in Oregon.

I.ve said it time and time again, Social Security is a complete joke, it is nothing but welfare. Secondly, I know when we work and pay into the system, but the way prices have gone these last few years, it leaves you nothing much for food and other necessities, none left for recreation nor a vacation.
Social security is not welfare. I worked my behind off 34 yrs and some. I earned MY money period.🤔
