Wiping off the scale with bare hands, savage level 1000.
I was thinking the same thing, had to rewind it the first time he did it 😦
Exactly what I was thinking
Anyone else find these videos extremely soothing and satisfying? I start to doze off after maybe 10 or 15 minutes of these because it just reminds me of that kind of trance you get into operating machinery for long times. All the sounds heavy machinery makes, I dont know why but I've always loved it, reminds me of peace and solitude! Always love your stuff man, you're a master at Damascus! Cheers!
yep, I feel like I could just chill on the couch watching these videos all weekend
i find them booring actually. All the same except for the showing of the finished product. Give and take a detail here and thee they are basically copies. They different kinds of tea that are mode are the biggest variation. And there are no products avalable on his website either.
I'd be nervous working in a shop with this guy, the narcoleptic machinist.
He's like the opposite of Christian Bale.
One of my favorite parts is watching the scale fall off 🫠

Some times you get a sneak peek at the pattern... 🤭

@ Real Red Cat
I can definitely say this is the first time I've seen a Damascus pattern like that. The pattern kinda looked like finger prints at first glance
Well technically every single demascus blade is one of kind. So every demascus blade should be the first one ever.
You should check out his meteorite blade he made. Absolutely beautiful.
And the Elven Flame one he did, lol
@@808G8GT do you know what is the powder used in the beginning of the process ?
Fingerprint Damascus was the first thing to come to mind when I saw this. Definitely what it should be called.
Incredible isolation of the pattern, my man. You don't see that everyday!
I still can't wrap my head around how it turned out that way. Very impressive to a casual observer.
I just want one one knife made by this guy seriously bad like I've never wanted something so bad in my life a double edged dagger
@@marcp6468 There are local craftsman who also do great Damascus work. You just gotta seek them out, and be ready to break out the checkbook.
@@recoverytrouble if you follow the production process carefully, you can....
My daughter and I watch your videos together: she really likes your work, and I enjoy seeing a master craftsman at work. When the final result was revealed, she exclaimed "Wow, that's wicked cool!"

Amazing. I have watched a heap of your videos, and the work you do is incredible. I would just like to see the knives finished with handles, ready to slice and dice. This may be because I am a chef, and appreciate a good blade. Kudos.
I don’t personally like how this looks. But your cleanness with every blade you make is always impressive.
So far you are the best knife making youtube content available. Keep up the great work!
Ditto!
Absolutely agree with you
There's a couple more knifemakers that's on the same level, I would say one is maybe even beyond this channel, but otherwise I agree - he make gorgeous knives.

I have watched you for years, its like a deer in the head lights.. nothing but the sound of machines, hammers, and grinders. You are truly a master at what you do ?? Texas, I rang the bell three times..
You Sir, have an amazing gift. Thank you for sharing.
Came for the Damascus, stayed for the +5. Great video
You can not deny. This man is a master of his craft.
That is stunning sir! That just is unbelievable to look at where you have the Damascus inside of a pure blade! Thank you so much for the demonstration sir.
That was really cool how you managed to keep the pattern limited to the fireballs! Nice job!
I now realize how fortunate those that follow the forge are to have this great master to lead them in the pursuit of their craft. Myself, a retired electrician, have fallen in love with the beauty of his blades and the ease in which he caresses the steel into his works of art. May he have a nice forever.
I'm in awe every time I watch you work. Your knives are absolutely stunning. One question I have is, about half of the videos I've watched of you making absolutely beautiful blades, you temper the steel after honing a edge, but others you temper it before you hone an edge. Everything you do is mesmerizing! I just love everything you create. You are a true steel god!
where zone hardening is needed, there I make descents before hardening
Honing is the absolute last step. Maybe you're using the wrong word, but no one would temper after honing. Tempering is going to discolor the metal, and you would have to rehone it if you tempered after honing. That's like waxing before washing your car.
Wow, Dmitry! That is a beautiful pattern! Great video!
"+5 damage" lol, good job
Haha
😂
I'm not taking it without the damage buff
Any bonus stats if wielded by a Paladin?
But is it AoE? And does the fire debuff stack?
The coolest thing for me was watching the flux flow out during the first pressing. Another awesome build!
Ol'd dude must've had an extra bowl of Wheaties the morning he did this. Knocking all that scale off with no gloves is just straight up flexing.
Gorgeous! Love the pattern, great job as always.
Beautiful Dmitry. Not many people on planet earth have your skill. Thank you for the video.
Birds of fire.... This all looks impossible to me. I don't know enough to properly compliment this master craftsman, can't stop watching. Flour, black pepper, dried chili peppers... teaspoon of magic. Smith of the Gods.

I never get bored watching the slag crumbs flake away or the designs that come to a finished product.
i never got bored watching him wipes the slags off anvil or press machine

Amazing as always. I would love to try this someday.
Never seen a "modern" forge on yt which is as serious as this one. Thank you for sharing.
I'm still on the journey through your content but this one right here... Dang. All of them are great but this one, this is something special in my opinion. So good.
Is it just me, or does this knife look thinner than your other knives? Beautiful work as usual though!
Wow another masterpiece! I have yet to see a knife of your making that I wasn't super impressed. I just wish I could afford to buy a blade from you lol I would treasure it for sure.
Very nice Blade. Love how Tea Comes first before Finishing the Blade. I love the Blue Tea you made . God Bless and Be Safe
does anyone else kinda want to see a channel about his selection of tea?

Incrível cara, parabéns pelo trabalho!!
That's only +5 damage? I guess I'll take the master blacksmiths word for it, he definitely knows better than me.
Beautiful craftsmanship and a fine blade as usual!
Gorgeous pattern! Love the cup of tea in between. Very nice blade, Dmitry.
I`m watching you make it but I can`t understand how you got that amazing result. Good job
Neither can I. I get the theory of folding, welding etc to make Damascus patterns, but this was really impressive.
Excellent work yet again. I would love to see one of your blades completed with handle and sheath. All the best.
He's an artist. I still like Jason Knight how he uses no flux and makes beautiful damascus.

Know that some ppl say that "this isn't real Damascus" but your work is amazing
dinein1970 it is "real" Damascus steel, just the modern form. Wootz steel, the historic Damascus steel, is a lost art, and is inferior to modern methods, as modern methods contain less impurities.
Wieder Mal eine sehr schöne Arbeit! Schön das wir dabei zusehen können
The excellence in craftsmanship is second to no one...but how come we never get to see the finished product with a handle etc...would love to see your work with an antler handle
