    I feel like I learned a lot about living from watching. Everything in its time, don’t rush it. Have a process, but listen to the material. Enjoy the cool, outdoor air mixing with the warmth of the forge. Everything is craft, even tea. Steal is a great metaphor for relationships, love, and living. Thanks for this work.

      Except... it doesn't take much skill just to forge a lump of metal and machine it into an egg shape, and apparently he didn't even do the machining himself. All the patterning happens by itself during the process. Comparing this to a Faberge egg is like comparing your kid's finger painting to a Picasso.

    • @karbonkai
      @karbonkai Před 4 lety +2

      @Inquisitor Tylion it's possible, but unlikely. Usually when doing something related to Damascus steel, hydrochloric acid is used as a final touch to etch the steel and reveal the pattern. This is possible because two different types of steel are used to make the Damascus, and those types of steel corrode and etch at different rates. What is being used in this video is likely a used hydrochloric acid or something similar (hence the discoloration)

    Of all the things and finished structure / patterns I have seen you make, that has got to be the most amazing and beautiful for sure. Well done, awesome.
