Thank you all for your support in the comments. I'm still relatively safe as well. Today is the 375th day of the war.

On my patreon page, I began to explain the processes and secrets of my work. Topics already covered:
1. Why do I add pepper to container Damascus steel.
2. What do I sprinkle? Flux and its composition.
3. How do I remove the container from the workpiece (container Damascus steel).
4. Why am I drilling a hole in a container.
5. Why do I sweep away the dross from the anvil with my hand.
6. Why do I first forge some blanks on a tree.
7. In what and why do I soak the blank before forging.
8. In which granules do I place the workpiece after forging.
9. What kind of white powder do I pour into the container.
10. In what liquid do I develop the pattern on the blade.

You put my thoughts into words! 😊
Took something made for war and turned it into a piece of art.
It warms my heart to see you're still able to continue making these and are safe and well.
I'm pretty sure you can Stil stab someone to death with that knife
He took something that was made against war...

1) I'm glad you're safe and continuing to make art
2) that is a beautiful piece
So happy to see a new video up this morning. A relatively simple build, no cutting or restacking or complex patterns, just tender loving care in setting your welds and a lovely edge quench. I do not have the resources to set up a forge where I live so I experience vicariously through the work you and other talented smiths who share their work here on CZcams. I love how you take weapons of war and turn them into art and I am glad you are staying safe and well.
I agree with Mark. Love to see all the different materials you use, and the outcome of the build. What do you use for flux? Stay safe my friend
@@daveprokop1917most likely borax. That's what it looks like, and is what most people use.
This is the simplest yet probably one of the sturdier builds he made. Metal used for weapons is very high quality.
Good to see you're continuing your work. Your source materials are getting more creative. Beautiful results.
amazing that a simple youtube channel and an expert craftsman would bring so many together. so many comments from strangers wishing for your safety. it is nice to take solace in the fact that despite the wars we wage we still have humanity.
keep up the good work. your blades are beautiful.
Masterfully made blade. Deceptively simple, yet difficult to create. It astonishes me to see the skill to make cable Damascus this way. Thank you for sharing this. Glad that you and your family continue to be safe. May the war end, and peace return.
not the first to say it, but seeing you heat and beat swords into beautiful plowshares is so uplifting. (i mean, i know it is a knife, yes, but no longer explicitly a weapon of war.)
glad you are safe, friend. be well! ^,..,^
of all the smithing videos ive watched , yyou sir are the only one that cleans off your anvil before every hammering..i like that
Happy to see you still have the ability to make your works of art and you are safe, my thoughts and prayers are with you my friend.
A- My wife and I continue to be happy that you are safe. Thank you for the update.
B- Excellent work, as always!!
C- She and I would absolutely subscribe if you had a second channel devoted solely to tea.
Be safe, Mr. Schevchenko.
This dude can turn any piece of metal into Damascus steel. I wouldn't be surprised if he's made a knife out of other knives.
Glad you're safe
He actually has. He made a knife out of really old knives found in an archeological dig site
Wonderful work as always Dmitry! Good to see you're safe and well.
I’m happy to see you safe. Stay safe buddy… 🇺🇸🇬🇷❤️🇺🇦
I usually listen to videos in the background while I game or code. Shurap is one of the only content creators that I stop everything else I'm doing to watch.
Another masterpiece among so many Dmitry.
Hopefully it finds its rightful place in the heart of an invader.
My heart is warmed to see you are still with us and as creative as we’ve all come to know you are.
Hang in there my friend.
Jak zwykle piękna robota.

Glad to see that you are doing well and still making beautiful pieces of art. Thank you for staying strong. Peace for everyone.
It is always a relief to see a video from you, and again another forged beauty. Wishing you continued good health and safety, and that peace will come soon.
Ah yes! More liberated foreign steel. Most excellent and such a beautiful end result.
Amazing pattern. I always enjoy watching you make damascus from unusual beginnings. Always good to see that you're safe amidst all the news of war. Stay strong, your community here is on your side, just as the majority of the world.
I'm so happy to see another video from you my friend, I hope you are safe! We are all rooting for you!
Another work of art from my favorite bladesmith.
God bless you and your country.
As always, amazing job!! I'm glad to know you're still safe. I hope the conflict ends as quickly as possible and your people can live in peace again. Take care my friend!!
Except for the tea, the video seemed a bit faster than usual to me. Therefore, a special thank you if you forged the knife with time pressure.
The result is again outstanding.
Stay safe!
I just want to say from the bottom of my heart - thank you for making these videos. You don't just make knives. You make art. So thank you for sharing your art with the world. Be safe.

Oh and the knife is beautiful as usual. 😉
Pozdrawiam z Polski!

Another work of art. Prayers for your family's safety in these troubled times.
Beautiful blade, and great to see you are still safe Dmitry..

Firearms grade steel looks really challenging to work by hand. Very tough stuff. Great video.
You make some the finest blades I've ever seen!! Also I'm so glad to see your ok and still with us👍🇺🇸🇺🇦
Another beautiful blade. Each new video is a relief that you're still able to continue your art.
While I am not much of a tea drinker, I do enjoy watching the short part where you show us the tea you're having on the day.
Much love to you and all the people of Ukraine.
My dear Dmitry! I'm so thankful to see you work! I truly love listening to the music of your hammer, the power hammer, forge, sander, grinder and the hiss of your tea pot. Stay safe my friend. Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦♥!! And peaceful skies soon!

I just want to say how much I love the reciprocating sanding machine at 7:54. I especially like the shaft coupling made from repurposed rubber belts. Top notch!
Simple and elegant blade and turning a weapon of war into a tool that will make someone's work easier. I would think the people that were protected by the AA gun would approve. Stay safe, and I am glad to see another video of you making an excellent knife and making me jealous with the tea.
