    Old Rusted Hammer - Restoration
    Hello everyone, everything good?
In today's video I show you how to restore an old and rusty hammer.
I didn't find any information about which company produced this hammer and how old it is.
To begin the restoration, I used a brush to remove surface rust.
After that I put the hammer in a vinegar bath for 1 day, and it worked great.
After that time, I removed the piece and brushed it with water.
With the rust removed I ran the file over the entire surface of the hammer to level everything, I also removed the sharp corners.
I decided to polish the hammer, then sand it by hand from the G50 to the G600.
After sanding, I polished the entire hammer, with three different pastes, brown, green and white.
For the handle I used naval wood.
I put it in the lathe to give the wood a better finish.
Time to assemble the hammer, I made an iron pin to hold it in place, it took a little work but I put the whole pin in the wood, sanded and polished.
    And done!
    What do you think?
