I have a 2018 General and I was able to get the clutch kit and fan for the primary and a new secondary along with programming my ECU which was not cheap but worth every penny. It made a huge improvement and I can't say enough good things about their products and they answered my questions along the way. I have had some Polaris experience with snowmobiles so I had a basic idea of how they work.

That’s awesome can’t wait to do that. My turf mode went out this past week and when that happened my passenger side cv joint came out at the transmission. Just waiting to get it into the dealership. Lucky a friend of mine is letting me use his machine for the week we are leaving today to do the trek the Mac on Saturday then on up to the U.P. For the rest of the week. Just wish my General was going with us

So in one of the comments I read you said you wanted a turbo for the dunes
I took my 900 trail to Saint Anthony dunes here in Idaho and had no problem keeping up with the others in the group I was with
    And they had Xp 1000’s
So I think the general would do just fine

I had a 2020 Sportsman 850 and I hated the belt lag, waiting on it to engage in reverse or high after pressing the throttle. I am hesitant about getting another Polaris bc of this. Does the gilomen clutch get rid of all the belt and clutch lag? My brother had a 2018 Grizzly 700 and it was crisper than my 850 and felt like it had more low end bc the clutch/belt engaged immediately. Thank for the help, watch all your videos while trying to decide on my future side by side lol

Now that you’ve had time with the tune and clutch, did you need any adjustments? And is the low end equally as improved, without being too snappy in slower conditions? You keep the EBS? I like this idea, but run just as many tight, rock trails as I do fire roads… thanks! Great info on video

I put gilomen ecu and clutch kit on my 2016 ranger xp at about 8000 miles, clutch engagement was horrible before kit, much better after, picked up a bunch of hp, clutch spooled up much quicker than stock, machine felt much quicker and smoother, not cheap but worth it imo. At about 10k the original clutch was just wore out, would slide the tires as it rolled to a stop. At that point decided was going to keep the machine long term, and put a dura clutch in, absolutely phenomenal how it works. Not as quick as with the gilomen clutch setup, but much better for what I do, irrigation and fair amount of road riding. Know can run 50 mph at a shade over 5000rpm. That's what I was looking for, top speed close to 75mph, just won't get there quite as quick as first setup. Lower rpm should result in longer engine life, hoping to get 30k or more out of it. Love the setup for what I do.

Cut the flange side of the muffler off you will see the cat in the muffler, get a 16" boring bar from home depot or lowes drill a bunch of holes in it and start hammering it out. Polaris clutches..... you'd have been further ahead to sell it on ebay and go with dura clutch. At 2800 miles I'm basically on clutch #3. Primary FELL off 1st time. Frigged it up. Rebuilt it.
