    Probably worth a mention that it's best to try and avoid touching the battery as contaminants on your skin can affect the reliability of the contacts due to corrosion.

      Try starting the engine with the key and see if it will work ok after that

    What do you recommend when i have a new battery installed but the key only works when i hit it slightly?

      It sounds like the button on the circuit board could be worn out. Does it still click when you press it ?

      @@screwsnutsandbolts I cleand the contacts of the battery holder with some PCB-cleaner and a light brush and it works fine now. Maybe it was just some oil/fat from my fingers or slight corrosion.
