The masked superstar was a very underrated gimmick. Bill had great promos and for the time was a very big man. I thought Bill really made that character.
If bill doesn’t like you…. You not very nice, bill doesn’t have a bad word for anyone and is a fair man. A true Legend, in the real sense of the word, his masked superstar gimmick actually drew money in a time where it mattered who was on the cards when it wasn’t the promotion that was selling tickets but the actual names headlining
Ever notice how Cornette speaks to the level of his interviewee? With Eadie, not a cuss word in the whole segment; with others, f-bombs every third word. Good on Bill for being a real man.

The Masked Superstar was awesome. I was happy when he had the face turn in Mid-Atlantic because he was already a favorite of mine. I saw him and Paul Jones wrestle Snuka and Stevens a couple of times for the world tag team titles and they blew the roof off. All of them. You believed back then because those guys made it real.

Because most of what is said about him isn't true. The lawsuits everyone talks about in particular wasn't really true. Thunderbolt got in trouble because he picked the wrong side in the Atlanta promotional wars in the early 1970s. He worked for an outlaw promotion in Atlanta and had problems getting work after that. Ole Anderson, because of their past history, helped Thunderbolt out at the very end of his career. He booked Thunderbolt in Georgia. At least Rhodes could do a 20 or 30 minute match without being completely carried by his opponent. Thunderbolt Patterson was good for about 10 minutes tops. Anything beyond that exposed his very limited in ring ability.

I didn't get a match out of him!! 😂
Bill Eadie is the best and the Masked Superstar may have been the best heel ever.
BILL EADIE IS THE MASKED SUPERSTAR AS WELL AS THE SUPER MACHINE !
My favorite heel and had greatest ring attire for a masked wrestler
If you like bitter, racist old wrestlers who struggle to find anything good to say about anyone else besides themselves.
The greatest of all time
With the story Bill told about Greg Valentine, Greg's in no position to complain about anyone hitting him hard...
great point all his 70's NWA days bloody welted chops.
He was grateful for the opportunity 😅

He does. Hard to believe Bill is over 70. One of very few wrestlers I'd love to meet, while they're still with us.
