@@WaltDittrich Speak and Spell had 2 songs with pretty gay lyrics in them, but Martin wasn't in charge then. I wonder what was running through Clarke's mind when he was writing the first album.
That dig at DG by Simon LeBon had me canceling him for the longest, and as a GenXer Duran Duran was one of my favorite 80s bands. Of course Depeche was best. Ahh, forgive and forget.❤
THAT IS THE BEST INTERVIEW (most amusing) I HAVE EVER SEEN WITH THEM! i was lauging my ass off. aww man...that was great. thanks for putting that up. ahh.
No puedo creerlo, esto fue un año después de lanzar el álbum Playing and de angel con Precious, no puede ser, ahí a Dave y al resto los veía viejos y ahora con ghost a gain los veo recién viejos
I think it's not because it's not a good song, it just doesn't represent them as they want to be. Goody-goody gay pop songs is not what they want to be. I agree, though, fantastic song off a wonderful album. It's a reason why Vince Clarke has been so successful with all his bands: he's a great songwriter.
I rewatch this interview from time to time because it really cheers me up, so chaotic and funny from start to finish
I've watched this more than any other interview in my life, by far
It's brilliant
Ha. What delicious soundbites from Martin, "I question your sexuality" / "You are really gay, aren't you".
It's especially odd as so many people would wrongfully call Depeche Mode "gay", way back in the day.

i like that i love it when martin says "i like to drink so sometimes i fall off chair" awesome
I love this video, the interviewer is having fun and so are the boys! A must see for all Mode fans!
came here after fletch's death. we will miss you so much andy, rest in peace x 🤍
@Nigel Day yes, it doesn't feel real 😔
Same here, and I wondered did Simon Amstell unintentionally transmit a fatal curse through his fingers ?
RIP Fletch
Andy. gutted we've lost you, and terribly sad for Dave and Martin, and all of Andy's family.
We needed to hear more from Martin
They probably had to cut most of Martin’s interview which is hilarious in itself
"Talcum Johnsons tal t-uhm baby tal-uhhhhh Johnsons uhhh talc is it? baby tuh baby powder or something?"
RIP Fletch 😭❤️
Lol
i love Martin's humour lmaoooo
"In which countries are you bigger than craig david?" - "Pretty much everywhere!"
coolest answer ever!!
He'll yea!
A simple answer as most people have never even HEARD of Craig David. 🤷🏻♂️
”I like the drunk one especially” get a friend like Dave who will love you even when youre a complete mess😂
One of DM best interviews. I really hope some decent quality version will appear someday. 03:52 xD Fletch wins. R.I.P. You're greatly missed
"What's Your Name" is a great song!
Fletch is so nice to see on this interview. Rip😥
I loved that Fletch had a hard time saying "Johnson and Johnsons Baby Powder."
this interview is genius
this video will never get old its literally timeless
i can never stop myself from coming back to this its so goddamn entertaining
RIP Andy :(
4:00-4:14
It's a lovely thing to see 😂
I could totally see Simon Le Bon saying that. lmao
Martin sounds like my drunk mother in law.
RIP Fletch
Simon! poor Dave. I know the bands didn't like each other in the 80s but Depeche is in my Top 5
How can you not like these guys!!❤
I wonder if Martin knew for sure that the interviewer guy was gay when he made jokes about it :) Because in fact he is gay.
I love this video.
Farewell Fletch 🕊
'So sometimes I fall off chairs'! hahaha So do I!

I relate so hard to getting in trouble for farting during assembly.
"I don't have a horse" :D:D:D:D
I'm crying and laughing :D
Rip sweet banana boy!

this guy is hilarious! the best interviewer so far i've seen
This is incredible. Good for cheering yourself up.
Hilarious video. I will never get tired of this! :-)
Cool stuff and funny. They are great as always.
Simon Amstell should join the band
It's a lovely thing to see
I want to see the full interviews. I know they left stuff out!

Best Depeche Mode Song is Policy of truth
Shake the Disease
Cool Stumm148... thanks!
Dave said Simon was rude to him, but meanwhile he calls Michael Stipe a name he doesn't like ("Mickey"), which is rude if true. lol
No puedo creerlo, esto fue un año después de lanzar el álbum Playing and de angel con Precious, no puede ser, ahí a Dave y al resto los veía viejos y ahora con ghost a gain los veo recién viejos
I don't carry handbags

17 wonderful YEARS ago. Wow! 😳
fair enough- it's a shame though- think he's quite hot.
