The whole time I got my period while I was growing up I wished that I would get menopause so I wouldn't be bothered with all this blood, mess, and cramps. Now I'm in menopause and damn, “bring back my period, I take it all back!”

Me too! Before I couldn't wait till my periods will be over forever. But now that I've learned what horrible changes come along with the menopause, I want to keep my periods! It is actually possible with the right lifestyle changes and certain supplements. Suzan Sommers wrote tons of books about it.

I’ve been miserable since I was 19 years old. I’m 49 now! I was unfortunate to have had ovarian failure at a very young age. I managed well the first few years. I didn’t have ANY of the symptoms of menopause, with the obvious exception of the loss of my menses, until I had an uninformed doctor decide it would be a good idea to put me on hormones, a few years later. I regret the day I swallowed my first pill! From then on out, I struggled terribly with weight, had constant acne, and haven’t slept a wink since! I had several other doctors recommend hormones several more times, over the years, and apparently I am a glutton for punishment because I assumed the best and ended up with the problems I already had, becoming worse.
I’ve been mesmerized by your videos for months now. I’ve been to so many doctors with little to no help. I finally gave up a year ago! I now have had to have my gallbladder removed, in 2016, and have been on meds for high BP and cholesterol for 2 years now, to add to the problem. I was a steadfast follower of Keto for about 10 years, in order to manage my weight, but that stopped working. For reasons I won’t get into, I lost the ability to exercise in 2018, so as you can imagine, my health has suffered further.
I am convinced there isn’t a doctor out there that can help me; especially in my area. My health is in my hands. Natural health is an option, but it requires a doctor to help with testing. When you tell them you are seeking natural pathways, for some reason, they won’t do testing, unless you are willing to take their death pills. So, I’m advocating for myself the only way I can at this point
research and lots of notes!
I’m glad there are doctors like you out there, however few. It restores my faith in medicine and gives me hope that others might not have to suffer the way I have.

Try taking Sea Kelp to reduce estrogen-dominance while boosting your thyroid hormones. That could have saved your gallbladder as dr.berg latest vdo mentioned low thyroid hormones resulted in low bile and super-saturated cholesterol in the gallbladder, causing gall-stones. Very simple and necessary trace-minerals, especially if you use fluoride toothpaste and/or drink tab-water that has fluoride and/or chlorine in it.

It is also hugely important to realize that if we do not work on estrogen dominance then our body is marching towards the perfect storm, obesity, diabetes, even pancreatic problems, the list goes on an on, and yes, danger of developing cancers. That danger rises anyways as we age.

I decided to start the DIM supplement and was happily shocked by the results. When I didn’t get my period for days since I had never been late ever, I figured that’s great, peri menopause. I was super bloated which was rare and gained a few pounds in just days. I had night sweats and woke up various times throughout the night. Again, symptoms I’ve never had in my life before.
I took the DIM out of desperation since I wasn’t getting any restful sleep and after one day, my period started back. On day 2, the night sweat subsided. On day 3, I slept through the night and the anxiety has decreased. It’s been about 3 weeks and it’s still going very well. It’s like I’m back to normal! I will continue to take this. I found it on Amazon, Nature’s Way, DIM-plus. I take 2 pills after dinner. I plan on taking this for a long time. No negative effects.

    Hello Dr. Berg,
This is an excellent video that is incredibly informative and helpful. As I was listening to this video, I started wondering....are there certain segments of the population who might be more sensitive to estrogen dominance, GMO, consumers of corn, have a higher propensity to diseases like diabetes and are now being attacked by external endocrine disruptors?? As an African-American woman, I feel this might explain the higher rate of obesity in AA women. Lower salaries force AA women and families to eat cheaper more processed laced with GMOs which trigger endocrine disfunction which leads to all sorts of problems. 50 years ago AA were not this big. Just my thoughts......what do you think??

What this doctor says is an eye opener. Just today I was marveling at how I could possibly have Estrogen Dominance even though I just completed most of the menopause crap.
How this doctor explains it makes so much sense and I am sure happy I delved into this subject. I just knew my hormones are out of whack, the bigger belly, foodcravings, especially chocolate. Who knew that estrogen could come from different sources after the ovaries shut down? OMG, I did not know that. And I have always, always suspected that estrogen dominance was at the root of my mothers reproductive deadly cancer as well as my aunt's reproductive cancer.
But the biggest point is that this doctor helps save so many lives: because estrogen dominance is the one big thing a woman does not ever want if cancer already runs in her family.
All the reproductive organs of a woman are affected, even after menopause, if there is estrogen dominance. Bad bad news. And I had an irkling about that.
It just all fits together now, this information, like a puzzle that I have to solve if I do not want cancer like my mom and her sister had and die from it like they did.
This is huge. I wondered what the heck was wrong with me because I could not shed the belly fat, and I knew my diet had not changed that much.
Oh my god, this is such an eye opener.
Thank you Doctor Berg, thank you

I got...A LOT...of confusion listening to the causes section. I was a little more confused on what will help the problem. It might take several times watching to finally get it.

I have ALWAYS been thin - menopause hit early because of endometriosis and then came the night sweats but the night itch! I would get out of bed and get my hairbrush and almost rip my skin off. So I was put on Livial. That helped but I have not been able to work out why suddenly my breasts have ballooned and my tummy expanded so I was once a size 8 or 9 and now a 12.
I can't afford a new wardrobe and I eat one meal a day. This has given me a whole new view on things and I am starting a new campaign - I will report back if I see results - this if the first time I have felt hope. Something that makes sense!

I had a DNC done that was botched and infected my uterus causing me to have to have a partial hysterectomy at 37 years old.
Two weeks after the partial hysterectomy I went from 0 to 78% into menopause the test showed. The obgyn put me at .1 estrogen patch. I was having allergic reactions to it. The obgyn dropped me down to .5 estrogen couldn't take any estrogen, because it caused me an extremely bad yeast infections that wouldn't go away. The estrogen gave me fever and rashes and vaginal dryness so bad it was painful. The obgyn took me off estrogen. I ended up going through menopause without taking anything.
Honestly I would rather have a monthly bill then ever go through menopause.

Thank you for simplifying the concept of why there is such thing as estrogen dominance on menopausal stage when it is supposed to be that estrogen should have dipped-down...but, then so does progesterone that even goes way down deeper compared to estrogen....and, another factor regarding cortisol production and adrenal gland demand...etc.

The Dutch test is a great way to test hormones which you should be able to do through obgyn or a functional medicine Dr. I highly recommend, I thought my body was making too much estrogen but the test revealed that not to be the case, my body just wasn’t releasing it properly, so then we knew how to treat. The test cost about $300-400. It’s expensive but worth doing to know what’s going on w your body and get relief.

  • @ArielPaz08
    @ArielPaz08 Pƙed rokem +3

The bottom line is to reduce your stress so your body will have more progesterone instead of using it to make cortisol. Minor technicality, cortisol is created from pregnenolone, not progesterone. Plus stress wears down the adrenals - have you heard of "adrenal fatigue"? Your doctor probably won't tell you about it, but chronic stress over a lifetime wears out a lot of our organs. Just like eating too much sugar over a lifetime can cause diabetes due to the constant insulin production.

Starting shots once a month on April 25 that will put me into menopause then start taking Estrone inhibitor and Kisqali pills. My oncologist thinks the reason I have this is unopposed estrogen from age 12 to 58....never pregnant. My diet plan for myself is to eat foods that further decrease my estrogen, lose weight and increase progesterone. I think this means more cruciferous veggies, omega 3 FA, Iodine, Black Cohosh, Organic meat....I gotta watch this video again.
