      @Charlie C. I used to listen to him and attended a 3 day conference with him. I realized he was false when he said we are on the level of Jesus, Jesus was not fully God, and was not God nor did he have the Holy Spirit until he was Baptized. He also claims he has not sinned for 14 years, literally said “not once”. He has said this several times all over the internet. He also claimed that if we have the Holy Spirit we will not sin and if we find ourselves sinning then we don’t have the Holy Spirit & need to check ourselves. This caused a shipwreck in my faith and I went into a severe depression because I believed the accusations from Todd because I didn’t know the Bible well enough. He also claimed that Paul was not talking about sin in Romans 7:15 & twisted these verses.
      Now I know we are always flesh and spirit and the flesh is always warring with the spirit. No where does God ever claim we can obtain perfection on earth nor do we not sin after receiving the Holy Spirit. God says anything that is not of faith is a sin. Todd has NEVER sinned in 14+ years? Never been short with his wife? Never lost his patience with his kids? Never worried (not of faith) about anything? How many men of God are in the Bible that STILL sinned after knowing God!?! Noah. Moses. Jonah. David. Saul. Anointed men of God. Peter. Paul. Men whose names are written on the foundation of the new New Jerusalem? But Todd...Todd is like Jesus and does not sin even though the Bible says if we SAY we are without sin we are liars and the truth is not in us...
      Todd also lies about healing. He claimed he had to get leg surgery because he wasn’t healed, but then told us he was healed before the surgery. I saw the noticed this changed story and found the same lies online he told to camera. Todd is always pointing to himself as the example of righteousness. He teaches destructive heresy. Don’t forget Satan quoted scripture how many times to Jesus? He also twisted what God said in the Garden. Satan knows the Bible
      Better than us and uses it to condemn us.
      Don’t get me started on the entire atrocity of “holy laughter” “fire tunnels” and the like. Rolling around shaking on the floor for hours after Todd pushes you down is NOT the Holy Spirit with fruits of love patience gentleness and SELF CONTROL. This is not Holy. We know what the fruits of the Spirit are and shaking and writhering on the floor are not evidence of gentlest and self control.
      Todd has stood on stage to unite us with the heretical Catholic Church, uniting us with priests. He’s part of the NAR & 7 mountain dominionism theology that is completely unbiblical.
      Don’t confuse discernment and Bible belief with religiosity of law keeping. The Pharisees were hypocrites and did not want to give up their elevated status as leaders in the synogogues. They didn’t love God and did everything for show. The people that were able to discern that Jesus was the Messiah were able to believe not just because of his miracles but because of everything prophesied of him in the OT. They used their Bible to match up truth, and the lamb was in the Old Testament.
      Discernment and correct Biblical theology is maturity and Christian growth. Paul addressed destructive heresy, wolves in sheep’s clothing, and how we should mark and avoid false prophets for a reason. After we accept the doctrine of Grace it is time to move to wisdom and knowledge.
      Praying for you.

    Two years ago, I was in a relationship with a non-Christian, quite shallow in my faith, and very double-minded. I believed this lie that I could do something as long as it wasn't "bad." I believed that I didn't have to do the "best" thing I knew to do if there was an alternative I liked more that wasn't explicitly wrong. This mindset led to all sorts of foolishness. But I knew something was wrong between me and God. I decided I'd had enough and needed a change, so I just started listening to Todd White for hours a day. Todd White's passionate love for God inspired me, my mood lifted, and God began opening my eyes to see what truly matters (Himself). One day on my way home from work while listening to Todd, the Holy Spirit fell on me and I started weeping as conviction poured over me. In that moment, God revealed to me that it was wrong to do anything other than what I know to be best so I repented. That moment was the start of my heart turning back to God. Today, I don't turn to Todd for theological nuance, but there's NO doubt God uses this man and his ministry for good. Many people are brought into the kingdom because of him, praise God! Thank you, Todd, for how you've changed my life.

    • @paulpowell6418
      @paulpowell6418 Před 3 lety +5

      And what's this because he says this, "the cross is NOT the revealing of my sin but the value of my worth" he doesn't even grasp what the cross means. He also thinks that Jesus went to hell that is a blasphemous and heretical thing to say. And he has not repented for saying that has he. No because he continues to say that.

    • @Bi0Dr01d
      @Bi0Dr01d Před 3 lety +7

      @@paulpowell6418 The Bible does not say that Jesus went to hell, but I believe it does suggest that Jesus set the captives free who were in a different area of hell than the area of torment. You can see when Jesus speaks of a poor mam named Lazarus and the rich man who both died. Lazarus was carried to Abraham's bosom and the rich man was in the flames and the rich man who was in the flames could see Abraham and Lazarus afar off. This is why people believe that there was an area of hell where there was no torment and there also was an area of hell where there was. The place without torment was for the saints of God until Jesus death and Resurrection. After Jesus died and rose, he said that he had the keys of death and hell. If this is the case for Abraham and Lazarus, then Jesus would have set them free which may suggest that Jesus did visit them and let them go. So, while the Bible does not explicitly state that Jesus went to hell, I do understand why some would believe it. Also, when Jesus rose from the dead, he told Mary Magdalene not to touch him because he had not ascended to his Father yet . This may imply he was not in Heaven when he died.
      As for Todd White saying that the cross is not the revealing of his sin but the value of his worth, Todd is not saying that Jesus did not die for his sins on the cross. He is *obviously* not saying that. Since this is the case, we would interpret what he is saying differently. Rather, he seems to be saying that he does not want to focus on his sin to remain in a state of mind of condemnation but to know that he is loved by God and even though he has sinned in the past, he has been accepted by God and therefore gains his identity from that. He seems to be saying that the cross brings comfort to him because his sins were removed instead of condemnation, so now he does not look at his mistakes, but he looks at his worth in God's eyesight.
      That does not suggest he doesn't understand the cross. This I believe is the issue with many Christians who criticize Todd White. I think many Christians are unknowingly religious and therefore overly critical. It causes room for error or misinterpretation of what Todd White says and results in Christians standing against Christians.
      For example, Todd would pray for people to get healed, tell people that Jesus loved them, told young couples who engaged in premarital activities to marry each other, and through principle tried to help people reduce sin and live for God, though he may not have always explicitly stated because he used the miracle or healing to validate the belief and therefore used that to help people convert. This does not mean he was against preaching against sin, cuz you clearly see him do that in his sermons and in principle. However, his approach did not go as far in depth with explaining sin as someone like Ray Comfort, for example. So, as a result, people did not have a perfect understanding of the Gospel, though Todd White does believe in this gospel and which a person must repent from sin. Otherwise, he would not agree with Ray Comfort. So when Todd White sees Ray's approach of how he explained sin, Todd *agrees* with it and sees that he could make some improvements on how he speaks to people and says that he" repents" because he wants to be more explicit about sin when preaching the Gospel, though it is not the case that he never mentioned sin at all when preaching to people. It's not that he does not do this in his sermons, because he clearly does try to tell people to live the life free from sin, staying in prayer and fasting, remain in communion with God, etc, but he is trying to make adjustments to be that much more in line with the Bible in his initial approach as Ray Comfort. Christians misinterpret that to mean Todd White is acknowledging he's a heretic and has ceased from lying to people, and honestly, I believe a portion of this may actually have to do with *unbelief* from other Christians, because some Christians do not believe healing happens today and that prophecies ceased with the apostles and does not happen today (things like that) and try to nitpick things that are wrong with Todd White to justify their opposing position (in some cases perhaps, not all). Then the issue gets blown out of proportion and you have many Christians who misinterpret the situation in the same or similar ways. Now, I can't say there's absolutely no truth in what other Christians are saying, because of course they're telling the truth when they say you must preach on sin and you must understand the implications of why Jesus died on the cross. So, I think there is a fine line that makes this distinction/misinterpretation between what state Todd is actually in vs. how he is perceived to be by other Christians.

      @@paulpowell6418 do you not understand the Price God paid at the Cross??? Do you not understand that it's the Law that reveals our sin. • @paulpowell6418
      @paulpowell6418 Před 3 lety +3

      @@Bi0Dr01d so you said he uses healings as a way of converting people. Well Jesus said this "a wicked and evil generation seek after signs and wonders" the point is that healings and prophecies have ceased. They were used in those times because the New Testament had not been written. Only God heals and it is only at His discretion. I am not saying that we should not pray for healing but the healing is not that we can do it but rather only God can. So when Todd plays tricks on people with his leg trick which is only a slight of hand magician trick he is making fun at the actual healing of Jesus. The fact that he has to continually say "in Jesus name" is a testimony unto itself because when Peter did it. He spoke it once and it happened. Only because in that time the bible had not been completed. Because it has now there are no more miracles that are done by us. Prophecies have ceased because the bible is complete. The power unto salvation is the gospel and His Word cheap parlour tricks are not the means of converting people. Maybe if you believe in easy believism but I do not.

    Man cannot be right with God by any deed, any affection, any experience. Only through the righteousness of Christ are we made right with God. Nothing a Christian can do can make us more right with God than Christ has already made us. "So you also, when you have done all that you were commanded, say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done what was our duty.’”
    Luke 17:10.
    What concerns me about Todd is that he mishandles the law and the gospel and sets up a hierarchy of Christians. Our obedience is by grace alone. But every sermon I've listened to by Todd emphasizes the law and his own experience as normative for the Christian life. Of course we all have error in our theology, so I am not questioning Todd's salvation.
    I'm questioning Todd's qualifications to shepherd anyone. He preaches himself and I've never seen him preach an entire text by itself.
    All his citations of people he follows are known heretics. I would not follow anyone who esteems known heretics.

God heals everyday but no one walking around today can heal at will or at anytime. God heals by response to prayer as the book of James says. If the gifts of healing existed today then every preacher would be able to heal people by touch or by their own will. As in response to Hebrews 13:8 that verse be just like every verse in the Bible is true . However , we are not Jesus Christ my friend. I love you and wish you the best in your future and even though we may agree to disagree on this you’re my brother still if you believe Jesus took our place in the cross resurrected the third day and then after a period on earth ascended into heaven to be on the right hand of throne of our father . Todd White preaches from a bible that quotes Jesus in a lie! Unless he uses the KJB or NKJV.. by the way NKJV fails the Revelation 22:18-19 test and therefore it is also cursed. See: Look What's Missing even in Revelation. Also See: deadly translation NKJV.
      Most modern bibles quote Jesus in a lie. Their Jesus tells his brothers I am not going to the feast. My time has not yet come. Not going, not me, no. He waits and goes. What will his brothers think when they see him there. Most certainly the will call him a liar!
      BLASPHEMY. CONFUSION.
      Jesus actually said I am not going up yet to the feast. Not now, not yet. He waits and then goes. No problem, no deception!
      You know that God cannot lie. Yet modern translators do not know or do not care. A buck is a buck. There is much money in selling bibles. I am sure they have sent their lying Jesus bibles all over the world.
      God said He preserved His word. Psalm12:6,7. Does your bible say that? God warned in other places not to change His word. Deuteronomy 4:3, 12:32 and Proverbs 30:6. His words are eternal. Take Him very seriously. It is called being sober.

    Something that is crucial for people to grasp in this whole conversation about Christ’s divinity is the Hypostatic Union and Kenosis and what these two things mean, because they do not have to be in tension with one another. They are actually both accepted in the realm of orthodox Christianity (aka not heresy).
    The Hypostatic Union states that Jesus was and is fully God and fully man. At no point did He cease to be one or the other, and He retained all of His divine attributes, powers, and privileges while on the earth. He just sometimes chose to not act on them.
    Kenosis, when understood from its Biblical definition, is about Christ emptying Himself of His divine privileges when He came to this earth. It’s not about Him emptying Himself of His divine nature or attributes, but His perfect submission to the will of the Father. If we think about the infinite God who created not only our world but our whole universe choosing to come to this tiny, seemingly insignificant place called earth and choosing to come as a real human being, that alone is an incredibly humbling thing for God to do. The fact that He would allow His infinite being to be bound up in human flesh when He is the Lord over all just blows my mind. He did not “have” to do that, yet He chose to, displaying perfect humility. He humbled Himself in the form of a servant and submitted to the Father all the way until He died. That is the perfect example for us of kenosis, or “self-emptying”.
    As Philippians says, “He did not consider equality with God as something to be used for His own advantage. Instead He emptied Himself by assuming the form of a slave, taking on the likeness of men” (Phil. 2:6-7). Much more can be said and researched about the Hypostatic Union and Kenosis, because the reality is that when we are talking about an infinite, all powerful God coming to earth as a human being, there will always be mystery surrounding that. We cannot fully grasp it in our own understanding, and we probably will never be able to. But it’s at least worth outlining and looking into because these two beautiful truths don’t have to be in tension with one another. The same God who emptied Himself all the way to the point of death on a cross and came as a man is the same God who said, “Before Abraham was, I AM” (John 8:58).

In fact, many of the preachers today, going back to Derek Prince and up to Daniel, Todd, Andrew Womack, and even Joyce Meyer, are re-packaging the truths that Watchman Nee laid out with reference to the soul, spirit, and body, and how the Holy Spirit accomplishes His work in us, and how we can cooperate with Him. It's a good read. Nee's longer book "The Spiritual Man" is a much more indepth study of the soul, body, our spirit, and God's Holy Spirit.

      The whole point of that documentary was to speak about how we need to be Christ centered, that we need to stray from a “it’s all about me” type of belief system. The clips that they showed were points given by people that were very hedonistic. It’s something really important to point out as the New Age religion is sweeping people and deceiving. I’m pointing this out because you mentioned that “it’s doesn’t help anyone”.
      Yes, there were some videos of Todd White. And what’s weird is that you mentioned about “bashing people with different doctrine” the true gospel has the same doctrine. When you follow the truth there is only ONE truth and not multiple. Only ONE way.
      Steven Furtick was someone mentioned in the documentary that my family and I used to watch (not a lot but sometimes). And it hit us that a lot of the word he’s giving is hedonistic. It’s a hard truth to swallow. We don’t follow people but our leader is Christ and He does use instruments but we need to be careful of the word we are being given.

      Adding smear campaigns and conflating Kingdom/Dominion churches with prosperity gospels, etc is the equivalent of saying that if there’s abuse in the Catholic Church then Christianity teaches that it’s ok to abuse children, women, etc. That’s just a lack of reasoning and quite possibly a dark agenda against any non-Denominational Churches.

    I always believed in Todd. I listened to him on different videos and I never saw what some of these people have gone on about. I have seen Todd’s words taken out of context to prove someone’s agenda. If there is truly something wrong with someone’s theology and walk? Another will not need to manipulate someone’s words to prove their point. Will not.
    Thank you Daniel. I appreciate this time for Todd to clear the air.

    Attending Kenneth Copeland events, calling Kenneth copelands ministry rock solid, preaching Christ laid aside his divinity, promoting unity with the Catholic Church, saying that he never violated his conscience since becoming a believer (that has the connotation that he has never sinned as a Christian) etc... are troubling and are evidence that Todd isn’t all he is cracked up to be. Stay away from him!

    I just love how someone like Todd is judged by cessationist preachers who themselves are guilty of the obscene shortcoming of rejection of the full gospel. Quite hypocritically ironic.

    Thanks Daniel for putting this out. I think the issue a lot of the times is that in western society there is such an emphasis on preaching the love of God and not enough on repentance. That makes it sound like the full gospel is only about the love of God. In Paul's letters to the Romans he writes about both repentance and the love of God, the wrath of God and the grace and mercies of God that abounds to all repentant sinners. I believe this balance is what's missing in the American church at large. Please preach REPENTANCE of sins so that the LOVE OF GOD has meaning. Without preaching repentance sinners won't see their need for the Saviour Jesus Christ!

      Believe me when you come to truly know the love of Jesus, you'll repent. That same love that made him abandon everything and come to the earth to die for man.
      You'll literally abandon your life into his hands.
      Lack of repentance is proof that you have not actually experienced this love.

    This is good but wish this was the topic of every preacher. Talk about G-d , Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Talk about his death on the cross to save us. And talk about what it means to be born again. I say for preachers to drop all social topics and talk about Jesus and our salvation....this is what we are called to do. Drop all social and personal social growth topics and make disciples!!

      Yeah. I feel the same but my friend is a pastor and she counseled me and told me that my hunger for the deeper things of God is a marker of my being slightly more mature in Christ and how new christians often cant digest the deeper things of God and are pulled away from the faith by these lifestyle things so you do need to address them.
      I am maybe not explaining it well but what she said is biblical principle. Young Christians are just not ready for certain messages and mature christians need the meat of the word in order to grow deeper into the things of God.
