  • I continue to capture a lot of wildlife at my 4 trail cam locations but the best location is a hog wallow near a spring.....Seems most of the wildlife travels by this location when moving either north or south through the Chassahowitzka National Wildlife Refuge here on the Florida Nature Coast!!

Thanks!! I certainly couldn't have expressed this presentation more thoroughly than what you have stated!! This coastal area is able to support species diversity because of the carrying capacity and preservation of the wildlife refuge that I'm filming......Enjoy the weekend!!😎

@@WesLovelace Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad that my response resonated with your presentation. It's wonderful to hear that the coastal area you're filming in supports species diversity and has a wildlife refuge that plays a significant role in preserving the environment. The concept of carrying capacity, which refers to the maximum number of species that an ecosystem can sustainably support, is crucial for maintaining a healthy and balanced ecosystem.
By documenting and sharing the beauty and importance of this area, you're raising awareness and promoting the value of preserving our natural resources. I hope your filming goes well, and I wish you a fantastic weekend filled with joy and relaxation! 😎

Quite the variety! Very cool!!! Great camera locations. Heck of a spike there at the end. Both antlers unbranched? If they are that would be the tallest spike I’ve ever seen.
I heard the ghost of Squatch howling at 6:31.

Thanks Marc!! I had another high water event and it's moved the critters to the east to higher ground. I pulled the SD Cards yesterday and I have someone shooting a 12 gauge after dark.....It's clear on the cam....Second time in 4 months with trespassers!! I've got a friend that has cams on the south side of the river in the preserve and the racks are totally different.....They look like antelope antlers!! I had a big boar snort at me yesterday ....He decided he didn't want a 9 between the eyes.....LOL!! Getting 2 more cams tomorrow .....Back in the swamp Sunday.....Sea Ya!!

Thanks Phillip!! After almost a year of roaming the Refuge I've managed to figure the routes the wildlife have been using to go from south to north and vice versa and this wallow which is real near a natural spring attracts just about all forms of wildlife.....The only 2 I haven't seen more than once is the gator and male bear.....Hoping that will change......Have a great weekend!!

Nice Wes nice seeing a variety love seeing the cats in the coyotes . I got one young deer with the spike going backwards and a spike going forward and a big scar on its side. Don’t seem like his antlers are growing. Been seeing him for about 4-5 months nothings changed on his antlers.

Thanks!! This weather is kept me off the water so I'm in the swamp a lot more and these high water events seem to have all the wildlife moving to the east to get away from all the wet areas.....One a high note I set a cam a 100 yards from the house in a little spot that produces a lot of cats and sure enough I got a short glimpse of the ears of 2 Kits trying to play with the cam....I reset the cam after this high water event this morning....Hoping to get some better shots because I think these are recent newbies that are living on the high ground near the house!!
