Wildlife in the Chassahowitzka NWR Florida 2024

I'm in the Wildlife Refuge here on the Florida Nature coast about once a month collecting SD cards from my trail cams. I'm still capturing Deer, Bobcats, Coyotes, Raccoons and plenty of Feral Hogs in all sizes and colors....Lots of critters roaming this coastal environment!!

Thanks Dave!! After Hurricane Adalia last September a lot of the locals have moved back to the east side of the Refuge.....It's amazing how high water like that will move the wildlife away from the coast.....Enjoy your week!!

Thanks Ron!! To my knowledge the are no Florida Panthers this far north but I know there has been at least one killed on I-4 between Tampa and Orlando and a sighting south of Tampa off I-75.....What you saw was a Coyote on that pass through....With Hurricane Idalia and all the high water last year most of the bigger predators that I've been recording moved farther east away from the flood zone and have not moved back to the west. I'm glad you enjoy my trips to the swamp.....This was part of my college education that has been on the back burner for years and I know that my education has been enhanced with the introduction of these swamp cams.....They don't get the same views as my fishing stuff but I have a lot of fun in the swamp and the additional education that has been afforded me has been an eye opener.....Have a great weekend!!😎🐾

Yep it's kind of hard to miss my glow in the dark clothing......That Mom and her sibling have been in all of my videos as of late and 3 months ago I walked up behind them on my way out of the swamp!!😎🐗
