- Hey beauties!! I figured that if I brought you along with me to get the braids then I might as well include you in the take down process as well.
In this video I show you how I take out my Fulani Braids, my experience with the braids as well as how I tend for my natural curls AFTER I've taken out the braids. A Complete Wash Day: Pre-Poo, Shampoo, Conditioner, Deep Conditioning - THE WHOLE NINE!
Although I do already have a video on my channel pretty similar to this one showing you how I take down my box braids. I did discover this time around that getting that product buildup out of those box braids can be a lot easier! Trial & error truly is a beauty (:
These braids lasted me about 4 weeks (I could have gone much longer but my hair was flakey and I wanted fresh hair for my birthday).
As always, thank you so much for watching & always showing so much love and support - Love youuuu! ❤

The Burdened Societies yeah totally
Girl went from i miss my curls and it's my birthday.... to wearing her hair straight for her birthday. Lol giiirl... we be so undecided when it comes to our hair. Your hair looks so juicy EVERY GOD DAMN TIME. I love it
I love your braids. And your hair is really long and beautiful
Sasha Williams Thank you so much, beautiful ❤️
@@KenzeyCooper your welcome!!!!!
If I took out my braids at 4 weeks my mom would have been knocked into tomorrow 😭😭
Tehillah Lowe Lmao giiiiirl, after how much time & money I spent - I completely understand why she’d be upset 😝😂
If it wasn’t for my birthday, I would have definitely rocked them longer
Kenzey Cooper omfggg u responded but yeah my mom be paying some coins for ma hair🥶
I always take them out in a mont/5/4 weeks hbu?
The first letter of my name is L. Usually about 6 weeks
Lol
Those braids were the cutest
Simply Sugga thank you, love! I loved them 😍
Simply Sugga Ya ya ya
Ikr
you got LENGTHHHH. it looked like your hair was to your shoulders but nah
DAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNGGGGGGG
I LOVE HER HAIR
WOW
I had these braids once and yes dandruff is an issueeeeee😭😭😭 I looked like an egg and it was the worst style I’ve ever had. A big no for six heads 😂😂
I’ve been milkingggg how long I’ve had my braids in. Your vid came at just the right time bcs I have to say goodbye. Can’t get over your length!!
Right on time 🙃
I hope this video helped! ❤️
@@KenzeyCooper the most helpful! thank you love and happy belated! xox
I love Aussie!! 💜💜 that’s like my go to recovery product
Simply Sugga Giiiirl, ME TOO! It damn near looks like the video is sponsored because of how many of their products I’m using, but I went to Target the other day and saw that they had all of these *new goodies and had to try them all - I’m even more in love now! 😍
girl i need an updated hair straightening routine please!!!
Giiirl... Guess who just filmed that 😏
I got you, Suga 💕
Something that really helped me when taking out my braids was getting wetting my braids and scalp before taking them out! I experienced waaaaay less hair loss and I found it a lot easier to take them out and helped with the process of picking out the build up. I use water, conditioner, olive oil, coconut oil and Macari orange oil.
Interesting! I’ve never seen/thought to do that - In my mind it would make my head SUPER heavy from the braids being wet & dripping all over me 😖 I could be wrong though!
I worked on damp hair in my other braid removal video & it worked, but I really feel like for some reason taking out the box braids/detangling on dry hair worked SO well this time around.. idk 🤷🏽♀️❤️
Kenzey Cooper girl I thought the same thing about the hair being heavy! But I just put all the ingredients in a spray bottle and sprayed my scalp really good and focused on where I usually get the most build up and lightly sprayed the base and it worked wonders!
Why is no one commenting HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!
(For the weekend) 😊😊🤩
When irritation happened with my Senegalese twist I put aloe Vera gel with some peppermint oil then filled half way. I sprayed on my scalp and it was amazing
Your hair is flawless. I substituted shea butter as a moisturizer instead of coconut oil because it adds a brighter sheen to your hair.
Ooooh yeah girl, that’s even better! I need some more Shea butter - one of my favs 😍❤️
Her hair is sooo beautiful
Girl your hair is gorgeous!
7:18 looked like you were holding Chaka Khan’s head 😂
I just was listening to feel for you and I found this coming 🤣🤣
Hi! I'm Antonella from Italy. I love the way you talk and explain things. You're very clear, you make your point simply but genuinely. I follow you gladly :)
Your hair is just so beautiful!! I love both styles on you!!😍🤩😍❤️❤️
Awee, thank you so much! You're too sweet ☺️❤️
Your hair is so long, you didn't even need the extensions! God bless!
Those box brades are beautiful! Love this 💖
This is my first time watching you and omggg😄😄the length of your hair shocked Mee😍😍😍 so beautiful
I just recently got box braids and my scalp was the same way. Turns out the chemical they use to cover the braiding hair is what I’m allergic to. I did an apple cider vinegar and water rinse on my scalp and it’s been way better since. So moving forward I have to pre soak my hair in apple cider vinegar rinse on braiding hair before it’s installed.
That makes complete sense. My scalp is always ridiculously bumpy and itchy no matter how lose it's done.
Your hair is gorgeous and 100% GOALS
I don’t understand who dislikes these videos. How could you not love her. 😩 😂🤷🏽♀️
Your so pretty and I love your real hair ❣️❣️
“That’s why it’s snowing on my head”😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣I canttttttr
Missed those hair videos Kenzey! Your hair has grown!! Simply Beautiful!
I have that white bottle of conditioner (Ausie I think ) and I love it my favorite conditioner EVER❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Your hair is gorgeous down!!!
Your hair is so gorgeous and thick. You are truly hair goals.
She should not have braided so close & so tight on your edge 🤦🏽♀️ braids look bomb af but that why you experienced that red tension & irritation
Brianna Webb-Harris Honestly, the braids weren’t tight at A L L and if I would have left out anymore edges and/or didn’t start the braids to close then it wouldn’t have looked right 😕
The bumps were caused because the hair in that area was being pulled in the wrong direction in combination with too much tension 😭❤️
I love these braids on you and it makes me want to try these braids . And Happy early Birthday if it hasn't come up yet
Shanelle Warner Thank you so much, beautiful! You should totally try them - I loved them 😊
It was on February 2nd, but thank you SO much ❤️✨
your natural hair is GORGEOUS!!
The irritation is because the braids were TOO TIGHT right there at your edges, so the tension was pulling them out. At the hairline they should be braided a little looser than the rest of the hair, to prevent traction alopecia. So it technically is the braiders fault, she should have known not to make it so tight right there, direction doesn’t matter. There’s no need for them to be tight at the hairline if the rest of the braid is tight it will last. But all in all, your edges will be fine, you didn’t have it in long enough for it to snatch your edges and it’s not a super reoccurring thing so they’re safe.
damn, you massaging your scalp made me want to do it too but I have braids in!😂♥️ taking mine out tomorrow
Sitting here with my 1yo baby girl who has reaaalllllyyyyy curly hair and im officially scared lol shes deff gonna need these videos later in life lol
I heard that the braids themselves cause the itchy scalp- i heard that the braiding hair is coated with an alkaline solution for preserving- I also heard washing the braiding hair gets the alkaline coating off. It seems problematic to wash it but anyone's preference i guess.
Can you do a video on how you got long hair, or a hair journey like if you ever had really damaged thin short hair or anything like that. My hair has been stuck at my shoulders for years and there’s no such thing as genetics not allowing your hair to grow it doesn’t work like that so I’m really needing some advice and help. I don’t use heat. I haven’t colored it in about 6 months. And I don’t use sulphates and stuff.
it’s my first time watching her channel and wowwwwwww‼️😱 you have a lot of hair😅‼️😍
I love your nails and brows! Both very on point girlie✌🏻
Your braids were so pretty and I would love to wear braids but literally anytime I get any kind of cornrows (exfoliated scalp, clean hair and everything, hair added or not) my scalp just itches like crazy and by the third day I can't take it anymore.
One day I wish someone could take our my braids as safely and softly as kenzey does💔
Giiiirl, one day I wish that somebody could take out my braids as safely and softly as I do too 😩😂
Can you please do a video of your pamper routine
I’ve always wanted braids! The take down always discourages me though lol.. how long did it take you to take them out?
your scalp was itchy BECAUSE you were moisturizing and using products on it that irritated your skin. Im wearing wigs sometimes and in the beginning i used to moisturize my cornrows and oil the scalp ect. but everytime i did this my scalp was a mess. i couldnt take it. so i moisturized my hair before cornrowing and then i stopped. just did the edges.since the hair is braided it will stay moisturized longer and if you really have to moisturize do a apple cider vinegar rinse on your scalp after. this will change your life. trust me. it hink even the dandruff is leftover product. less is more sometimes!
I agree with this...i just took my box braids out a couple of weeks ago...and i noticed that when i put too much product on my scalp and hair, it got extremely itchy...i ended up just spraying a light leave in spray and a little oil only on the hair shaft only not my scalp every few days...i would also do some scalp cleansing with witch hazel infused with aloe and lavender in between washes to keep my scalp clean. You may have also have had shampoo and conditioner build up...if you didn't water those down before use. My hair was so healthy and nice when i took out my braids...i actually wore my hair out as a braid out for one week afterwards!
You could totally be right!
I’ll be honest though, in the 4 weeks that I had the braids, I only moisturized with the oils about 4 times (once a week). The itching began BEFORE the product was added 😕
My sister got regular box braids by the same braided and we both started flaking after a few days (neither of us ever get flakes). So part of me just really thinks that it was the gel & cold weather combo - who knows 🤷🏽♀️
@@KenzeyCooper Oh, I see...yeah eco styler is probably not the best for that style...my stylist (Marcus@venicebraids) actually used a styling foam which I think worked really well...anywho you hair is super gorgeous and 4 wks is long enough!! Lol! I'm an Aquarius too!! Woot woot for Aquarius ladies! Happy birthday!!
@@kerri-anneparkes5550 Oooo, a styling foam - that's so smart!
Ayeee! Hey my Aquarius sista' 👋🏽 Thank you so much! When is your birthday?
@@KenzeyCooper Np!! It was on the 27th 😊
i absolutely love your videos girl 😭❤️❤️.
I need some jbco. My edges on the right look a little sparse. Happy early birthday love! 💕
Aray Brown Girl, SAME! I can tell that my edges need a little bit of tlc 😭
Thank you so much, beautiful ❤️
how the hell is your hair so beautiful and long 😍😍😍
My mom LOVES that shea butter baby song thats in your intro by ari
your hair is sooo beautiful *-*
Love the way you say Aussie lmaooooooo definitely not how an Australian says it but still lit
Wow nice hair sis!!
Your hair is so beautiful and if I had your hair I would never put it up
6:06 who else thought she was bald for a second 😂
This is late but happy birthday!
ur hair was also probably really itchy bc it’s growing! the braids are tugging a little more at the scalp which can create the feeling of it being itchy, but as long as u are moisturizing + oiling and keeping ur scalp clean then the itch is probably growth :)
Is good
Your hair is so beautiful
You hair is so long omg I love it
Where did you get that robe from? I LOVE it
Goals😊😊😊👍👍👍
Aweee, shucks 🙈
Thank you so much! 💕
Hi girl !! Thanks for ur video !! How long do you wear your Fulani braids ??? Thanks 😊
Kenzey is an Aquarius ♒️💃🏽 ayeeee
Do you know if you’re high porosity? You’re like my hair twin (complexion too) so usually anything you use works magic on my hair 🥳
MissGibbs101 Yeeees, #TeamAquarius ✨
Hey twin 👋🏽
Honestly, I don’t want to lie and say that I have high porosity hair - the last time that I checked (which has been awhile), I was, but I deeeefinitely am due to test again & see 🤔
Maybe I’ll record that! ✨
I have high porosity hair
Kenzey Cooper Yes please! Maybe a top hair products, or a grwm? Love those ❤️
Your hair looks mad healthy too btw 💃🏽
I just wondering how uncomfortable your scalp is.. i mean i put my hair in a high pony tails for less than 3 hours and my scalp hurt oncw i remove them.. btw ur pretty 😍💕
so assumption/ assuming,.. would you ever get cornrows again?!?,.. loosing my edges is one of my concerns as well . i havent gotten cornrows since i was a kid
I totally understand that - that was my biggest fear too!
I was SO sure that I was going to lose my edges based off of how bad my hairline reacted, but thankfully I didn’t lose any hair.
Sooo, I think that I would try them again in the future. I’d just probably part my hair differently next time 😊
Kenzey Cooper or try a different style not tha same exact ! lol or even try senegalese twists you’ll look real cute with them boo !
U just got a new subscriber ur so pretty
I love you so much 😭❤️❤️
Stawwwwp it 😭 I love you so much m o r e! ❤️
😍😍😍
Beverly ❤️❤️❤️
Do theses braids give you headaches because I want to get some but I don’t want to get headaches
I still love Aussie. What brush did you use sis? Like I need another brush 😩
Aray Brown Yeees! Aussie will forever be my drugstore go to 🙌🏽
Right 🙈 This is just a regular Denman brush, love 😊💕
Is the red hair her real hair I'm soory but I'm confused 🤣🤣🤣🤣
no they're extensions. usually synthetic hair.
I guess your white then
Ur hair is so long i have long hair but when it’s curly it’s short bc of shrinkage but it’s getting longer bc I been getting braids which helps my hair grow
My scalp gets red as well with braids...sensitive
So you condition and then deep condition?
see now when we tell you we gotta do our hair it takes all day.
Have you ever tried the function of beauty shampoo and conditioner for curly hair?? I have curly hair and I was really curious because I have never found a great amazing shampoo and condition for my curls. Much love xox
Anyone know what kind of nail technique she uses?
Nice. U have very nice long natural hair. 🙆💆

What do you use to grow your hair??
Happy birth day
