    The F-15SG Protection Systems AN/ALE-55 fiber optic towed decoy system and AN/ALQ-135 is an internally mounted radio frequency jammer. It provides self-protection countermeasures against radar-related threats. It is an integral port of the F-15 Tactical Electronic Warfare Suite which also includes ALR-56C warning system & ALE-45 chaff/flare dispenser. The F-15SG can carried 8 AAM like 4 AIM-120C5/7 & 4 AIM-9X or 6 AIM-120 & 2 AIM-9X. The F-15SG could carry a lot of bombs, AGM, and other weapons.

    RSAF are getting 24 F-15SG by the end of 2012. The F-15SG equipped better avionics, systems, and technology. F-15SG Sensors & Communications include APG-63 v 3 (2010), PANTERA (Precision Attack Navigation and Targeting with Extended Range Acquisition) targeting pod, TIGER Eyes dvanced electro-optical sensor suite that will provide targeting, all-weather navigation, terrain-following and Infrared Search and Track (IRST), and the pilot wear JHMCS (Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System).

    being in the rsaf for 5yrs+, i kinda feel tt singapore needs different kinds of a/c with specific roles instead of gettin multi-role a/c tt are good but not great in specific situations. we shld try gettin russian jets and the eurofighter, then we'll be a great strike force.

    F-15SG is better than Su-30MKM.
    RSAF F-15SG got:
    -APG-63 v 3 Advance AESA radar
    -PANTERA (Precision Attack Navigation and Targeting with Extended Range Acquisition)
    -TIGER Eyes is an advanced electro-optical sensor suite that will provide targeting, all-weather navigation, terrain-following and Infrared Search and Track (IRST)
    -JHMCS (Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System) allow pilots to lock-on and attack air-to-air (JHMCS+AIM-9X) and air-to-ground targets anywhere with ease.

    F-15SG carries:
    (4) AIM-120C5/7 AMRAAM
    (4) AIM-9X Sidewinder
    or
    (6) AIM-120C5/7
    (2) AIM-9X
    The F-15SG is faster, more ranges, rate of climb, and more thrust/weight than Su-30MKM.

  • @ConstantineJoseph
    @ConstantineJoseph Před 8 lety +8

    I am concerned about the Su30MKM and MKI as they have thrust vectoring and in the right hands they are deadly.
    The F15 is an amazing energy plane and yes the AESA is a great radar but so is the Su30 AESA. I think in a BVR fight both will do very well but when it comes to the dogfight I feel the Su30 has that slight advantage.
    This is coming from a Singaporean

    • @anything1sg
      @anything1sg Před 8 lety +3

      +Constantine Joseph modern air combat is not just a plane vs. plane, but the entire system, electronic warfare, pilot training and tactics, ground systems and control...etc.
      I doubt the region's air force has the systems/training in place to take on our entire air force. They don't even operate at the same level or training.

      @Armored_Kong Před 8 lety +3

      Su-30 doesn't have AESA RADAR it have X-band phased array Radar.
      F-15SG:
      -AN/APG-63 V 3 AESA radar detection range 1m2 144-185 km and tracked >20 aerial targets.
      Su-30MKM:
      -N011M Bars X-band phased array radar detection range 1m2 140 km and tracked 15 aerial targets.

    • @SuperSurya1234
      @SuperSurya1234 Před 8 lety +2

      Su-30 avionics is no where close to the F-15SG. F-15SG is far morr advanced than even other 4th gen fighters in the USAF
      Btw, thrust vectoring is a good crowd pleaser, but it has never been proven in combat. Besides, the last thing I want to do as a pilot is to reduce all my energy to zero in a high speed dogfight. Close knife in fights no longer exist. It's all medium and long range now

    Wrong! Go Check on Wikipedia and put down Su-30MKI and check on variants list then you see. India use Su-30MKI. The MK stand for export while I stand for India.

    russian fighters will always have greater manoeuvrability. but conquering aerodynamics isn't the only thing to a fighter jet. us defence technology is arguably the best in the world, justified by its massive defence spending. the f 15 sg has aesa radar, the su30 only gets its simpler counterpart the pesa. on top of that, singapore has acquired heaps of aim 9x, aim 120c, jdam and jsow.

    You can beat your chest all you want but the fact remains that the US pilots were out numbered against superior aircraft and without support from their AWACS. how about something a little more objective and trustworthy than wikipedia, Vijainder K Thakur's blog comes to mind. And and as to this comment "Note that the IAF were using the older Su 30MKs while the USAF was using the F-15C" Your "Older variant" Su30mk first flew in 1997 and the F-15c is a legacy fighter from the early 1970's.

    Indian air force cheated during India Cope 04/05. India equipped their Su-30MKI with french and Israeli avionics system. This show how IAF can't beat other nation air force instead ask US allies for help. An also they upgraded the Mig-21 with F-16 Jammers that is why F-15 lost to Mig-21. This is also show IAF can't beat other nations air force instead using origin avionics which made from Russia.
