There are fast cuts between scenes that play out reality and dreams, Wikipedia tells me about the video: the scenes of love and romance and sleeping under the girl's bed play in the monk's dreams, while the murder of her parents and the subsequent burning of the monk happen in "reality".

The band members are traveling priests. In the village (filmed in Romania) they celebrate and the young girl emotionally seduces Till and manipulates him. She tricks him into murdering her parents and then betrays him. It's called scourging with ropes. That must have been very painful for the boys.
