you are far better teacher than the ones for which I paid thousands in my cat coaching institute. thank you for making concepts so easy to understand.
in last question
if 7x+1 = 13y+12, remainder is 64
but for 13x+12 = 7y+1, remainder is 63

thank you sir
Vo Chinese wala mast tha 🤣
Sir last question can be directly done by euler....
97^97/10 = (7)^97/4 = 7....
Also I observed that for the question with solution (5,3);
If we put y = 0 in 12x = 17y +9;
we get x = 9/12 , remainder of which is 3, and 3 is the value that we get for y.
Is this a valid shortcut?
Yes but x is quotient here
Happy guru purnima sir 🙏💝 (03-07-2023)
Sir can we use this theorem for every problem?

How, by eliminating and taking the remainder, one value of variable gives integer value of othe r
Sir where to practice…please suggest a book or practise sheets….
The last question x and y also take value of 8&3 respectively. Then the answer bcms 17 . It also applies the same rules.. But different answers . Also instead of trial and error if v follow the second method v might end up with different answers also. How do v know which is the correct answer.
Please respond to this queries.
Thanks in advance 😊
In which question u r splitting denominator as 8&3
we have to find the least values of x and y
Yeah we get 17 but 17/10 remainder is 7 again.
remainder should be always less than the denominator. If remainder is greater than denominator then we have to divide it again.
thus we divide 17 again by 10 as 17 > 10 .
If we use the formula (x^a) / b we will get different answer, can anyone explain?
10:00
Please suggest book to practice the questions @Rodha ???

Can anyone tell where is successive division
Sir how to identify whether to use Chinese remainder theorem or Euler theorem?
Eulers theorem is used when numerator and denominator is prime no but if the the prime denominator is large no and become hectic to solve then we use Chinese theorem where dr= a× b here a and b both are coprime... I hope you understand this
At 4:10
in the video, why we have divided -1x by 9 because in the previous step we have already found the remainder to the expression of (17x -9y)/9, so while finding remainder hadn't it been cancelled in the first step? My question is why we are writing (-1x)/9 ?
we are finding the value of numerator for which , when divided by denominator we get the remainder as 1. the coefficient of x can vary depending on the problem. Hope it clarifies.
@@user-cr8me9im7g thank you so much! I got it now. :)

Remainder for -5/12 should be either -5 or 7. I didn't understand how did he got 3.
It's 9/12 .. remainder will be 9 or -3
You are seeing the rhs side remainder value
boycott chinese remainder theorem😂😂
Sir you are OP for the Chinese comment 😂
why we have not applied euler when dividing 97 by 2 but we have applied euler when dividing 97 by 5, in this also we can get reminder of 2 directly then ?
Odd to any power is odd, hence dividing 2 remainder will be 1.
13:40 😂
For this sum what is ans
What is the remainder when 4^96 is divided by 6?
Finally I got 4^0= 4 or 1
@ 12:26 Can somebody please explain why negative remainder is -7?
Divide 17 by 12 you get the negative remainder ~7
17 when divided by 12 gives a positive remainder of 5 therefore the negative version of the remainder becomes - 7 because ,
17 = 12(2 ) - 7 , where 2 is the quotient ) hope you got it.
why is there / 9 there at 4:15 ? anyone ?
because we have to eliminate the lower coefficient which is 9y so to cancel it divide it by 9
Please mujhe koi smjhao...ye smjh nhi aa rha h
at 20.12 why is the value 64, it should be 63 right?... because when we put x=9 and y=4 in the equation [7x+1=13y+12] it is 63 on both LHS and RHS
can somebody please explain
The ans we get is 64 only because 7x+1 = 7(9) + 1 = 63+1 = 64 and 13y+12 = 13(4) + 12 = 52+12 = 64
Sir , i have a doubt . how to approach?
he is on unacademy now
17:36 how 2 to power of 6 divided by 13...the remainder came as 12?
2 to Power 6 = 64 and when you divide it from 13 it will give you remainder 12
@@66dipeshmewati8 can you please tell me how 2 divide by 7 comes 2 ?????
can i completely rely on ur vedios for cat 2023
yes, but for practice and mock test, u need to rely on Arun Sharma's book or u can watch videos on unacademy where videos are free to watch
In 17:31 why the reminder is 2 to power 6 instead of 1 to the power 6 that thing I'm unable to understand a bit 🤔
Bro just divide 13 with 2..Quoteint will be zero and thats why remainder is 2.
I think u r dividing 2 with 13.Thats why u r getting 1 remainder
@@abhinnsharma639 much appreciated bro 🙏🏼🙏🏼 thanks for explaining
@@abhinnsharma639 how to divide 13 by 2 ??
Great videos sir, thank you
One query:
@5.12 i didn't understand the answer to the question 'at what value of x we will get the remainder as 1 '. Please explain. thank you
I also confused first time, but don't worry.
First of all always transfer the -ve sign to right, now you have to find a value of X which when dividing by 9 gives you -1 as a remainder.
Since remainder never be negative, convert -1 to +ve form which is 8 ( since 9= 8+1 we have always two remainder).
Now the right side value is always the answer probably!
Hence X = 8 is the answer because if you divide 8 by 9 then remainder will be 8.
@@anilbhai1652 correctt ✌
where did you teach euler???
in factors -11
Sir, what is the name of second method?
Simply using negative remainder concept
E¹⁰ = 4,
so 97⁹⁷/10 = 97⁹⁷÷⁴/10
(97^¹/10)rem can't be 7?
yeah I found the same problem
Yes remainder is coming 7 ...
Plzz check it again
Somewhere you r doing wrong
last question reminder should be 63
7x+1 is taken whole...can't take +1 across ..it's 64 only rhs
sir 3⁹⁰/91 please give a solution if possible my answer is 91 anyone know please reply i am not sure
