    For those, who are trying to get answer 18 in question 34!/37 when we apply the second formula.
    35!/37 = +1
    35 x 34! / 37 = +1
    Since the remainder for 35 / 37 is -2 so we have to alter our positive remainder in RHS to negative remainder to get a positive integer which is -36.
    34! / 37 =-36 / -2 = 18
    Tada

      That's a wrong explanation, since 35!/37 = +1 therefore
      35 * 34!/37 = 37K + 1
      -2 * 34!/37 = 37K+1
      34!/37 = (37K + 1)/(-2)
      Now we consider smallest value of K to be divisible by 2. so K = 1 therefore
      34!/37 = 38/(-2) = -19 or 18 [using negative remainder]

    Just Trying by second Formula of Wilson's Remainder Theorem
    Q. 34!/37
    Sol.
    as we know that
    35!/37 = +1
    (34!*35)/37 = 37k + 1
    34!/37 = (37k + 1)/35 .........(1)
    now solving RHS
    (2k + 1)/35
    therefore, k=17
    now putting 'k' in Eq. (1)
    (629 + 1)/35
    630/35 = 18 - Final Answer

    • @saikishore6986
      @saikishore6986 Před 4 měsíci +1

      bro instead of that big process it also be done through this process
      35!/37=1
      34!*35/37=1
      34!* -2/37=1 (here we got -2 because as we know 35/37 R=35 or -2)
      transposing -2 to rhs and solving rhs
      1/-2*-1/-1 (here we multiplying 1/-2 with -1/-1 to get denominator positive value)
      -1/2 i.e 36/2
      =18.

    For some reason when I try to solve Remainder of (48)^(45) when divided by 35. I get correct answer as 13 if I use Chinese remiander theorem and the method explained by Ravi sir, but, when I directly apply Euler's remainder theorem here, I am getting wrong answer. How is that possible??

    • @skarde6969
      @skarde6969 Před rokem +1

      Firstly you need to check if X/B are both co - prime to each other and that they have nothing in common. After that you need to find out the Euler number of the denominator which is 35 here. if you solve directly by Euler it will be really difficult to diminish the powers which is why you might be getting an incorrect answer. Also, when we use chinese rem theorem we split the denominator into two prime numbers and then use Euler. ( 5*7) hope it helped.

      17! = 17 x 16 x 15 x .....x 2 x 1 , 16! = 16 x 15 x 14 x .... x 2 x 1, so agar (17! / 16 !) => denominator and numerator ke 16! tk sb divide ho jayenge, that's why remainder 0 hoga. try any smaller number for example, (6! / 4!) => 720 / 24 => completely divides, that's why rem. is 0 in any situation where numerator ! > denominator !

    • @sohammhatre433
      @sohammhatre433 Před 3 měsíci +1

      @@maitrisinghai also, 1003 = 59 * 17 and 1001! = 1001 x 1000 x 999 x 998 x...... x 2 x 1, so imagine 1001! me ek 59 and ek 17 bhi aayega, that means numerator is multiple of 59 x 17, that means it is completely divisible, so rem. is 0

      @shaktiray9370 Před 3 lety +2

      Apart from the formulae.
      Withing 36!, There is no 37.
      As 37 is prime , it has no factors .
      So , the 37 when divides 36!, It gives a remainder of -1.
      For instance , Just like remainder of 6/7 is -1 .

    Why the Wilson's rule is not applied on this question : 97! / 101?

    • @anilbhai1652
      @anilbhai1652 Před 4 lety +4

      Who says ?
      I got 17 as an answer by applying Wilson's theorm. Here are the steps :-
      First find the remainder of 98!/101 which is 50.
      But you can't use 50 so use K form which is 101K + 50.
      So remainder of (97! × 98)/101 = 101K + 50.
      Or (97! × -3 )/101 = 101K + 50
      Or 97!/101 = -(101K + 50)/3
      Find the value of K which is 2
      So 97!/101 = -252/3 or -84 or 17.

    • @anilbhai1652
      @anilbhai1652 Před 4 lety +3

      I know how you get 17 as remainder.
      What does 17! Mean ?
      17x16! Right or 17 times 16!
      Now if you divide 16! With 17times 16! Definitely your answer will be 0, because 16! Divides 17! Totally 17 times without leaving any remainder.
      If still not understand tell me what is the remainder of 10/2.
      Now your answer should be 5, is it ?
      No because 10/2 = 5×2/2, just cut the 2 with 2 and you get 5 as a remainder, according to you.
      No we must not cut the numbers.
