This is how you handle a loss.
rudiratte1 mcgregor did an amazing job too
Le PAUZ uh no he didn't..he kept saying no excuses yet that's all he kept giving; excuses..then claimed to become "obsessed" with Diaz
rudiratte1 u do not know what ur saying shut up
FISHING VIEWERS EVERYDAY BRO he kept saying hes inefficient with his energy. Saying if his cardio was up there, hell beat diaz.
@@liliski1242 hmm
this is how a champion should act not storm off when it doesn't go ur way
That's why UFC didn't take on a women's division forever...
Sean Hayes huh?
Larry Medina
Women cry.
Juan Adorno I'm just glad he has to hopefully eat through a straw for a few days. might humble him a bit. He was starting to get really cocky and arrogant in his interviews.
Raymond Gonzalez no I don't expect them to be nice but the stuff that Cruz was saying like Cody had no chance against him because he beat Faber twice and he thinks Faber taught Cody everything he knows. Also he kept saying he is a riddle that no one can ever figure out and he he's on another level than everybody else. It's funny because I remember one interview Cruz said Cody's ignorance is his bliss... such irony because now it sounds like Cruz's ignorance was his bliss. #karmaisabitch
Ronda should take lessons. This is how you handle a loss
She's a woman she's allowed to act childish, lol
roidjones I'm reporting that sexist remark, you stupid idiot.
Ronda has already shown she's not capable of learning meaningful lessons. True learning requires humility and maturity. Ronda has been the complete polar opposite of humble and mature, both in victory and in defeat.
Jeeze grow a pair haha.
roidjones this is late but men act way more childish.
Cruz is brilliant, one of the best and most intelligent fighters out there.
OdinMMA other then my mom
:))
Not as intelligent as much he is witty, well spoken and articulate
Not one of, the most intelligent fighter out there. And aside from Dan hardy, probably the best analyst out there to.
THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is how you handle a loss.
I would've gone postal
That last line "Why would i sit down I'm always on my feet " 🔥🔥🔥
Gerry Johnson legend
Everytime I watch that I wait to hear a huge applause or something from the media like he just announced a cure for cancer lol. That was such a great line. He's without a doubt top 3 all time for me. Idc what anyone says
@youngbuck0911 lmao I knew there was gonna be one guy 😂😂
youngbuck0911 got back up
youngbuck0911 I knew there would be at least one guy where this whole thing would go over their head.. congrats 🎉🎊🍾 your him
The power of Cruz! He loses a fight and I feel like I'm learning something about fighting and handling defeat like a man. Excellent stuff.
kellar364 Yeah, agreed.
They're called excuses. He was completely wrong in his assessment of Cody. He sure didn't look 1 dimensional to me.
I rewatched the fight and rewatched this post-fight. I didn't see much in the way of excuses, more of a measured responds, articulated with degrees of respect from all sides.
kellar364
Cruz gave himself a little more credit than I think he deserves and he clearly underestimated Cody and should simply admit it.
And he never won again
Wow. This guy. Comparatively brilliant mind.
jon devieon why hate he was complimenting him
Max Judge to be fair to him it only said wow this guy originally. He might've thought i was criticizing Cruz. Still a dumbass though.
Sea Level Cain who are you what have you done with the real Cain
@@100cvcv8 what?
I find him corny not brilliant
Dom will have a great future in broadcasting, well spoken
Cruz "The Truth"
2 years later I think you are right aha
Well this comment aged well
Sliq Killa and he is a great broadcaster. Gets such hate cause he called one bad fight Khabib vs Conor but otherwise people just nitpick him.
@@everydaffodil5344 What did he do wrong during that fight? I've seen people hate because I can get quiet at times
Wow, he's so calm and chill.
Training martial arts, gives you self-confidence, when you are at Cruz's level, you are pretty much a God, only a few people in the world can beat you
I can listen to him talk for hours. He sounds like a zen master or something.
andre1442 Cody have a lot of training on martial arts and he lacks something that dominick has.
Meditation man.
L
I've seen Michael Bisping lose 'countless' times.
Great pun Dominic.
dhalsim1 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 amazing.....just......amazing 😂
They both are made off the same piece of cloth. Both guys are champions in life.
Top ten
Top five
Two feet tall
One eye
@@thejawaiian9897 😂😂
quite amazingly enough bisping's losses are still single digits, and the first time he got back to back losses he retired immediately despite his losses being so painfulo maybe that's why people feel he's gone through so much adversity, which is only slightly exaggerated
Cruz is one of the greatest of all time in my personal opinion, this loss shows it, the way he is handling this is inspiring
Dean .Malacious well he is one of the best mma fighters. He defeated fighters like Demetrius Johnson, TJ Dillashaw, Joseph Benavidez and Hall of Famer. Uriaj Faber.
Bill Cipher greatest bantamweight
Isaiah Cardenas yup and top ten fighters ever
@@shavingcreamguy9554 Top ten fighters ever cant inclide bantamweights because there are dozens of fighters and non-fighters in many weight categoried above them who couls literally kill dominic cruz with their bare hands. Maybe top ten most skilled in your opinion
@@kazzykaioken8873 I think he means pound for pound
"Why would I sit down... I'm always on my feet" - Dominick Cruz
I love this! 6 years later.. still on it. Best interview post fight loss of all time. Thank you Dominic Cruz 🦅✨💎
Brought here by MMA On Point. Great, classy post fight.
Yankee BlueJeans MMA On Point really ain't the same no more
Yankee BlueJeans same lol brought here by on point
Same I just watched it
Haha same here
Seem late to the party but mma on point brought me here too . Not disappointed
Two years after this fight I still think about and admire how Cruz was offered a possible excuse at 0:20 (maybe he wasn't at 100%) and he rejected it in full, not entertaining even a fraction of it. "They're wrong. I was there. That was 100% me."
What about three years later?
@@mossimotiberi5741 If you're referring to his loss to Triple C. In full honesty, can you truly believe he lost that and it wasn't a blatant early stoppage? I love Triple C and he had every chance to win without controversy, but unfortunately reffing is one of the hardest jobs in the world and mistakes happen.
Sorry if this is a response to a misconception
@@llGreyll. 13 unanswered shots and still an early stoppage. U smell like alcohol and cigarettes 😉
@xxxTennisballs Such a mature and detailed rebuttal. Get lost
@@yooshatarique019 that is true but the question is what do you do in that situation if you’re the ref? Do you let him take the shots and let him get up, or do you stop it before he can get up with two seconds left in the fight? Reffing is a very tough job so 🤷♂️
Put some like nice dramatic music behind what he said and all of a sudden its a motivational video. Much respecc to this man...Very eloquent
MindSmash made a video like that check it on youtube
Damn he made exactly that. Cool!
win or lose Cruz is a boss
Your dad's a boss
thanks
I lost my first fight today. Came straight up to this video. Great blueprint for all the fighters to follow when they're defeated.
XVSting how did u lose
Cameron Sanders he got tea bagged and tapped
@@honcho4581 bahaha i just saw this comment. It was a decision. Was just too nervous back then to throw. Thou I haven't competed since because of injury and working but still epic post fight comments by Cruz.
@@XVSting hope you bounced back 🙏🏾
@@Anub1s1546 nah bruh got addicted to crack instead
Dominic is a class act. If you can face your loss head on and not hide it just shows what type of person you are.
What a pro.
What a fricking legend. This conference made Dominick my favorite fighter
There is no better human being on this planet than Dominck Cruz. What a stud, legend.
Masta Killaaa he's a dork tho
Masta Killaaa Now... I dont mean to harp but, compare this to Ronda.
Masta Killaaa Calm down there killer.
Masta Killaaa well there are many better human being than cruz, but he take a lost like a champ, he win also like a champ
DC, Dominick, Robert Whittaker, Uriah Faber, GSP... we have some real gentlemen in the UFC that carry themselves
as professionals and really good role models and ambassadors for the sport. DOM is definitely a quality human being. I wouldn't put him in the same league as Mother Teresa, Gandhi, Nelson Mandela or MLK though haha.
This is the single greatest post fight interview I have ever seen.
One day,Cruz will be the best coach in the world
Truth
Can someone send this to Deontay Wilder?
Deontay Wilder sucks
Or ronda rousey lol
Classic Ariel last question... lol
Xiaoping Lui so true
Ariel can be a real putz sometimes.
Hammad Siddiqui he's an assgole because he asks the question everyone wants to ask
he was trying to figure out if cruz had an injury...not hard to work out fellas
Ariel is a cuk
I'm saving this video for whenever I feel down in life in general, what an admiriable person Cruz is.. If he never fights again he can still become A spiritual teacher
you too?
meacomefeyou neek
John Morgan had absolutely no idea that Dominick Cruz said to him arguably the greatest quote in UFC History
While standing up
Years later watching this again, one of the most iconic post fight press conference in UFC history
What a pro !!! how can you not respect him as a fighter.
Ron Hart or as a man
Never really liked the guy... Do now.
@Inspirational Harambe I still don't like him...couldn't take a seat or take off those lame sunglasses indoors like a diva
nqi87 yep thats what you should focus on, not the fact that hes extremely intelligent and taking the loss like a man
looked like a funeral with those glasses on...his own funeral. He said what he thought he should say so he could jet and cry
@Anasasis Xenophontis Cruz is a manchild talking like what he thinks a man should say. intellect doesn't always win fights hence the loss to Cody No Love.
nqi87 idiot
Best bantamweight ever !
Godzilla 2219 triple clown
Godzilla 2219 double c now lmao
Godzilla 2219 I agree that guy is dangerous
Godzilla 2219 hey man don’t count out aldo he looked good at 135 he won that morales fight he was robbed
Agree
I was with Cody on this, but Cruz is such a boss.
“This isn’t tough this is life” bro I can’t tell you the amount of times I’ve listened to that his mentality even in losing is inspirational
Dom whenever you decide to call it a day in mma, you will have a bright future in broadcasting and or motivational speaking, you actually gained more respect from me after that loss, loved the honesty and acceptance, although I was a big fan already
At least cruz took it like a man, not crying about injuries like those Diaz brothers.... Respek Dom... 😁
Walter Samuel Diaz brothers? You mean ole papi?
Walter Samuel put some respek on his name.
Jorge Anderson nate really is the bigger man, better height and reach...nate is like the tallest fighter in the light weight devision.
Jorge Anderson erm max holloway has better reach and height than conor so your point is..?
Touge Warrior max holloway has 69 inch reach conor has 74 inch reach dont make excuses for conor
Greatest Bantamweight of all time and one of the greatest fighters I've ever seen. As a massive Cruz fan (for years) this was a tough one to take. Hope he comes back even better and get the belt back.
The Notorious Just like me
Let's see tomorrow night
this is one of the most humbling post fight speeches ive ever seen. how can anyone, even not involved in sports, not be inspired by this?!
This is inspirational. Gonna start watching this before work...
I still come back and watch this any time I’m feeling really challenged in life. And I always walk away inspired.
I’m watching this 3 years later, this makes me wanna get better at everything I do
The most brilliant post fight interview. The man is on the whole next level of mindset game.
How it’s possible to lose your 12 fight win streak and champion status in such a one-sided fight and immediately afterwards be so calm, level-headed, insightful and wise is something I can not comprehend but hope I can one day.
it actually wasnt as 1 sided as alot of people think, cruz outlanded cody in 3/5 rounds, however codys knockdowns won him the fight. i think he handled it well because he already had so many title fight wins so his legacy was already set, also hes just mature (most the time)
Really inspiring, I watch this when I'm feeling down and it reminds me there's so much more than what's right in front of you. Dom is my favorite fighter in and out of the the octagon.
one of the best interview I've watched total big respect.
not gonna lie or make excuses but that early headbutt really changed the pace
it didn't cut him.
he even says in this interview it was the kick lol. joe rogan or whoever said it was a kick is just a lil slow stoner.
You Cant Skate I didn't say it cut him but headbutts do massive damage and lead to accidental knockouts all the time
Pokemike compare this fight to TJ who chased after Cruz, in this fight it was Cruz chasing Cody
Amy Ernst Cruz was very noticeably emotionally invested despite keeping his cool to the lead up cody kept his cool in the fight didn't have to chase Cruz Cruz was chasing a knockout
I learned a lot from this video... a bunch of tips I never thought I needed but am now entirely grateful for
its good to see that there is an interview that is genuinely heart touching and not just bottle throwing and trash talk
What a way to handle a loss! I’ve watched this so many times and it still motivates me to want to do better. What a fantastic representative of the UFC. A true warrior and role model.
much love and respect for this guy right here....class act...great champion....talented broadcaster...inspiring story.....
Lost a fight, wins in Life.
I have to say I do respect him now. He will be back.
best part of interview: "win like a man, lose like a man"
When you admit your loss there is nothing more the media can say about him.. He ended all the negative press before they started.
That’s the reason interviews like this don’t blow up cause kids don’t troll on these videos only true fans watch these kinds of interviews
What an awesome pro this guy is, much respect.
"Why would I sit down? I'm always on my feet."
How can you not love this man. Take a loss like a real man. Real sportsman who really knows alot about the sport and fighters, . But i wanna see him again in the octagon,
This is the best post fight interview i've ever seen.
"we're here to be attached to everything and nothing at the same time".......wow.....well said, Dom.....
Still the most honest, thoughtful, and articulate post fight presser in MMA. Cruz is legend.
Its hard not to love this guy. He's such a class act. Cruz has been at the top of the game for ages and noone has figured out his puzzle until last night. I'm really looking forward to the adjustments he makes to come back stronger
dt089 people that don't like him are typical casual fans that want 2 people to stand and bang until they have brain aneurysms
man what an analyst cruz is. He analyse his own mistakes and his opponent good at after the fight
The most humblest man ever bruh
This man showed how great of a champion he was. In and out of the octagon.many champions can learn a thing or two from Cruz. Gracious in victory and in defeat.
Rob Rex j he is*
The most REAL interview ever like ever
Glad I’m at he same platform as him and to this day still one of my favorite fighters
There’s a man with some CLASS! Unreal how honest this press conference was... Nothing but respect for Cruz.
Always loved this guy.
Legend in my opinion
Been thru hell and back man.
class act as usual
Cruz is still the GOAT
Your still the man, dominater. Definitely in my top 10 favorite fighters.
6:30 Dom is BRILLIANT. If he would have pulled back Garbrandt would’ve had a much tougher fight and probably lost the fight because then he would have to chase cruz and that wouldn’t be good. But Cruz chased him and knowingly fought the fight where he was at a disadvantage and STILL went 5 rounds.
I come back and watch this every once in a while
Dominick was Dominated in every sense on that fight, but taking the lost like that just telling what kind of man he is #warrior
The best post fight interview ever
The greatest post loss speech of all time
I wouldnt have imagined that i can admire more a person after a lost.
Great guy with a great interview
YOU GUYS DO GREAT WORK! KEEP IT UP
Dominick Cruz, even tho you lost, I'm your fan still. I'm glad he don't storm out and make no excuse.
Wow Cruz takes this lose as a man. He will comeback stronger than ever, amazing attitude!!!
Best post presser after a loss I’ve seen everything
That was a heavy blow.. love these 2 fighters .. with respect pls take a good time out .. hope you come back 👏
Best post fight interview, ever.
All class. So humble. And he speaks so well.
class as usual, very inspirational from the main man Cruz
Love Dominick, was very upset to see him lose but what a great sport and for the first time we got to see the incredible, world class chin.He recovered like he just ate a star in super Mario.
This guy is a CHAMP. Was, is and forever be.
I remember watching this live and I didn't understand what was going on then. I somewhat understand it now and I watch this once every few weeks. Can't wait for Dominick to return.
Legend. I was there rooting for him.
Much respect for Cruz. Good job handling this
What a guy...standing up was the most badass move possible. Massive respect
10 YRS UNDEFEATED!!! 1 OF THE GREATEST CHAMPS EVER! CLASSY, SMART, RESPECTABLE PERSON!
Great fight & much respect to both men!
"why would i sit down, i am always on my feet" Words of a true champion.
Cody was calm in this fight and that resulted in him beating the P4P best in this weight class. If Tj Dillashaw was fighting that Cody he would have loss
Prime Dom would have beat Cody any night
Why would i sit down I'm always on my feet. what a legend
Dom is a true champion. Glad I met this guy. Super humble
Its amazing how on this card u saw two legends lose an one took it amazingly!!!! An the other showed how to not take loses!!!! 🤙🏻 real one dom!!!
This is by far the best Post Fight Press Conference speech of all time.
