Alcazar were the disco pleasure of the first half of the 00's. So many great catchy tunes and they were actually really talented, I saw them live, they can sing and dance.
Its because they all were theatrical actors working on musicals. Those people were really talented, even thou the producer is all that matters. Its the guy who is the "director" from "Crying at the Discoteque" who also has the speaking role in this particular track.
This song has played a lot in brazil in 2001/2002. Morning and afternoon at radios, disco clubs and even school parties. As most part of the people didn't understand the lyric. Everybody heard and danced together.
I remember being in the classroom at 11 years old on a friday afternoon when our teacher used to put the radio on. This then familiar song started playing on the radio in the background and as soon as they started to sing the first “if you want my num..” me and my classmate looked at each other and just burst out laughing uncontrollably for the next 5 mins. Till this day we don’t really know why we thought it was so funny. It was something in the intro buildup and melody. Weirdest story ever but great memory!
V.D.C. - Take The Moon Modjo - No More Tears (Radio Edit) Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Murder On The Dancefloor
Actually it kinda did, "Chic - My Forbidden Lover" /watch?v=1MPKDRqhZ3c, and "Sheila & Black Devotion - Spacer" /watch?v=lrKjawtXY3s Most of their songs are sampled from older songs. For example the tune in "This is the world we live in" comes from Diana Ross' "Upside down"
Disco was back in the early 00's for a brief moment
Unfortunately many didn’t discover it until now. Better now than never though!!
Disco never went away, just underground.
Hard to believe that nightclubs 20y ago played Alcazar all the time. Such wonderful days
It fits so well
good old days... alcazar forever in my heart ❤
CHIC - My forbidden lover 😘
They sampled the heck out of old disco songs!
@@TheKickboxingCommunity
Lol yep.
Just like so called ‘French house music’ is just rehashed old school disco & soul records
I'm not a big fan of disco, but this song is the best one. Annikafiore and Tess are superb!

all of their songs - nearly all - were sampled from ancient great songs. replica
@@Lorenshyne They did the same thing 20 years ago what Dua Lippa and other are doing now.
Disco music is not dead. It'll be forever alive in every groover's heart. Keep up the groove !

This phrase is so libraaaaaa ❤️
that intro....its the BOMB!
This song was super popular in Yugoslavia in 2001/02.
we need back the 2000s
The early 2000s! 00-05
Could you send also the 90s in the package?

The acting in this is superb and a great laugh as the group mimic the 1980s big American TV dramas. Good of the site to post it.
It took me 19 years to find this campy gold. Rejoice.

I love this group, they've got good chemistry between them.
This Chic classic has been HEAVILY sampled. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

An underrated Eurodance band - intelligent use of a legendary sample by a technically perfect disco outfit. Sound good - would like to get the album.
Exactly
Remember these guys from last days of my Army career and they appeared at a local discotheque and were bloody brilliant
I love how they put the band name in the lyrics of most of thier songs 😊

I love this hit song from their debut album, "Casino." The sample of the CHIC hit song, "My Forbidden Lover" is well utilized here.
