This is a video i made laughing about the sad factor that configs are not a bannable offence in Apex Legends, it allows the player to do things on controller that just should not be possible, and should be a bannable offence. Gotta love the current state of configs in apex legends.
I hope you all enjoy this video, it was a blast to make and honestly probably my favorite project yet. Love all you guys so much, and thank you for the support as always, it means a lot to me.

Configs not being banned is depressing. I won't play again until they are banned. I can't compete against this, hard stuck platinum 1, on a ps4. I give up. I must be too old to have fun playing games anymore against you new generation of cheaters, that proceed to victim-blame.

@@Wildtm Well. I'm almost 3rd prestige. I can't have a regular match in pubs or ranked. In ranked, I'm fighting against tripple stacked preds in platinum 1. Why? Why are my randomly selected teammates to fight against them in silver, when I'm 400 LP from diamond?
I die to players with 60,000 kills in pubs.
I knew players were cheating, and that configs aren't bannable, but this is so..
Like all of our efforts, experience, time, money, etc. Means absolutely nothing in the face of outright cheats that are "fair" if you can afford them, and are knowledgeable HACK.
Honestly, this was the last game that I still enjoyed. It's dead to me, as I'm utter trash compared to any single person running any single config setup. It's literally "legal" cheats. How despicable.

I’m so sorry this video confirmed your lack of faith in the online gaming community’s integrity. I promise you that outside of Apex, there’s still very valid, good and solid gaming communities out there. Of course there are cheaters everywhere, and sadly the statistics show that the percentage is close to 30%, but at least some games have more respect for their player-base and community.
Everything you wrote is very well written, and sometimes people lack the view of a casual player when everybody that has a voice are pros with thousands of hours, do you mind if i try and post this on my twitter to reach a broader audience?
@@Wildtm You're welcome to share. Mind you; I have 5000 hours in apex, and I started in season 10. I've played close to 20,000 matches. I've participated in each and every LTM, arenas, ranked, etc.
I've purchased the battle pass each season I've played, and completed them. I purchase the occasional thing or two in the shop. I'm a loyal, paying customer, that feels utterly robbed of my time, effort, and money. As a "casual" player, whom isn't a "pro" player; i feel betrayed by the entire playerbase and the developers. I never bash the Devs, but this is intentional. What did I practice for, all that time? When anyone with sufficient $ can just click a few buttons, and download inhuman capabilities, that give them an overwhelming competitive advantage. Essentially; I grew up at the dawn of gaming. Online gaming wasn't too far after. Now I'm witnessing the death of online gaming, and all integrity associated.
In fact; I have absolutely no faith in the entirety of mankind. Why would anyone remain honest, and true to thier convictions any longer? There aren't any consequences for breaking the rules. Only rewards, paying for advantages, rather than earning our skills with dedication and hard work.
It's for these reasons I belive that the gaming industry in total has lost my good faith. There's only deception, and the propagation of it, via the game developers themselves, and the community at large supporting these game braking exploits, since it's in thier favor. You all forge unnecessary, false narratives, in order to sew confusion, and gaslight others, successfully deflecting the conversion towards things like "oh well AiM aSsIsT".
Whilst people are actively downloading configuration files that allow them the unyielding power of A TRILLION EXPLODING STARS.
From the pit of my stomach I feel pure disappointment towards the lot of you. Most of the community has always been cheating, while claiming they're not. I quit for good. I don't belong in this community of cheaters. I hope the best for everyone involved, yet doubt that games will ever go back to being fair competition. They will forever be stained with the blood of easily obtainable, non-bannable, zero consequence, CHEATS.

haven’t people been banned in the passed for using configs to remove things like bangs smokes? surely they would treat this the same way.
I’m not sure about that actually you might be right, all i know is that the #2 pred right now is running a no-recoil and tap-strafe config and he ain’t being punished. Even when monitored by Hideouts himself, he just can’t ban him due to it not being against terms of service theoretically.

An exception is wiggle room. Configs aren't appropriate for this specific game, period. But regardless, y'all will continue to exploit. Tap strafing is fine because that's intentionally put in the game. But this no recoil bs is getting out of hand

It’s still a little bit of an issue due to diehard cheaters, but yeah configs are not allowed anymore by TOS so a lot less of them o7

It doesn’t matter. You can add a “non-steam game” to your steam library meaning people would add their EA version apex game to their steam library and do configs from there. It is so lame…..

Honestly as a long time apex legends player I genuinely might just quit to be honest i feel like ever since apex legends was bought out by EA they butchered the game I took a year break to see if the game would improve sadly it didn’t matching making is terrible I get lobbied with pub stompers everyone is literally microwaving me miles away with zero recoil and when I get into closed combat I’m getting Neo strafed on when the off chance I fight someone who’s not doing the things listed they usually have a instant armor swap hack that’s makes it impossible for me to win
THEY ACTUALLY BANNED CONFIGS YESTERDAY or the day before i don’t recall. But all of this is now bannable offences so thank god for that

in all seriousness though, the cards are in the hands of EA/Respawn. All they realistically have to do is just ban the use of configs. I'm aware it's not as simple as that, but still something has to be done.

To answer your question: no, at least not right now.
Depending on Respawn stance in future updates it may be, but currently you're safe to use them.
If you use it for anything other than tap strafe your gay, and if your movement isn't already nuts you don't need tap strafes

Idk what half of these do since i got them from fps tutorials for this game years ago, but mainly the -novid is important, because i hate the intro screen and its annoying to see. There you go. Problem solved. They made over 10 Billion dollar with this game so they definitly have the resources to do that.
Also do the same for cfg's on console/controller. On PC i'm not sure because i use an cfg to make my fps better but they could very well write a program that detects codes to make fps better OR literally programming cheats into the game.
But they are just lazy AF trying to sell the next bundled recolors for +30$ so i don't think anything will change till sells decrease massively.

Ok.... I had no idea it was this bad. I always thought these were MnK players!? I have Steam, and I used the Left-Stick-Click "Tap-Strafe" settings, but holy fck I never knew I could have done ALL THAT^^^^!!! Now I understand why they removed configs altogether. But I still think, nobody, NOBODY should have input-exclusive-movement capabilities. So either remove that shit altogether or find a way to make it viable for both inputs. If we all START on an EQUAL playing field, then there's no need for AA.
most of the stuff in this video isn't even public so the majority doesn't know how to do most of what this guy has, this guy is a genius and at the same time needs a fking life because he is ruining gameplay for others but barely anyone knows how to set these configs up

Reminder that PC rollers are somehow not a bannable offend either since you don't struggle with latency issues or 60 fps cap.
Keep in mind though, PC ranked servers and Console ranked servers are different. You cannot run into a console player while playing on pc with roller. I've heard some glitches with mixtape, but other than that, they don't play against each other.

Actually demotivating I’ve spent 5 months trying be as good as h1yaA and sweloh and roller players can take 2 minutes of their time to set up an unbannable config to have no recoil inhuman lurchstrafing while also having aim assist lmao but why should I be complaining when I can have a cool 500 dollar sword💀
I feel ya on that one, doing kovaaks and practicing movement in the range just to see some roller player laughing as he presses 2 buttons and has 40% aim assist neo-strafing on my ass makes me want to not play sometimes.

I don't use configs because Idk how to do that (i'd use it if knew how to), but I just can't see it as a cheat, if all players can do that because is literally a game config for the game in the game, and is the game that give that option for all of us.... It's normal that they don't get banned.
But it isn’t in the game, these configs are a 3rd party (steam controller remapper) so it’s not exactly normal and imo should be a bannable offense.

I don't possess the words to properly articulate how infuriating it feels to know exactly how other players cheat, and the extent of their cheater capabilities, yet still be powerless to make a change. I am voiceless, and have no say in the matter, just one man, representing no one but himself. I've reached out to all of the content creators I've ever tuned into, and they all ignore what I've got to say on this specific matter. It's as though, the cheater topic is taboo, unless it's to drum up click-bait.

@prestigini3150 Listen closely. No one is legit anymore. On console, 80% of players are cheating with a Cronus zen, or an Xim. Either of these devices make it extremely unfair for your opponents whom aren't using them. That's a huge problem, and all you people do is say that I'm "yapping" for speaking up about cheaters ruining the game for everyone. Probably because you people cheat too, and you're really here to defend your cheats. Either remove the cheats completely, for everyone, or everyone must be considered a cheater.
If you've done something in apex, there's no way no to know if you're legit, or if you're modding your controller inputs. Therefore there's no point in playing apex, the game has died. It is dead. When only cheaters are left, your game is dead. Are you people special ed??
I got an idea. Remove tapstrafing, supergliding, neo strafing, moving while looting, zip super jumping, jitter aiming and all the things u can use configs for bcause if u remove them, then there wont be ppl who use configs for it. Plus all of those things werent intended ro be in the game at the first place. Am i right, everyone??
Input lock would be far easier. And the things are intended to be in the game, have been there since titanfall and they're in the gameplay trailers aswell
Apex is dead. And the only reason it died, is because they refuse to remove the super well known cheating devices that everyone knows about. I'm talking about the collective minds devices, such as; the Cronus zen, or the Xim. These devices ruined apex way more than anyone other glitches, exploits, or cheats. The reason is that anyone can purchase these devices, pay for a mod subscription, and have a massively unfair advantage over anyone whom isn't modding their controller inputs.
This isn't even a discussion at this point, you're just all afraid to admit that you've been cheaters this whole time, and wouldn't be capable of anything at all without your precious cheats. Ban the Cronus Zen. Ban the Xim. Ban any controller input modifying device, and suddenly console apex will become playable again.
The reason the game is flooded with unbeatable players is because of this massive influx of cheaters, using cheater devices, which in turn ruins the game for literally every single last person who wants to play it. Please. I'm begging you people to actually have some integrity for once in your entire lives, and speak up about this.
You people don't have to cheat like this. I absolutely cannot wait until they ban these devices, and you'll all be exposed for the nasty cheaters you've been the whole time. I bet my life on the fact that at least 80% of all apex players cheat.
