Other don’t: resell unless you actually are short of money/space and don’t care about your legos anymore. Star wars legos are actually pretty cheap and abundant, and the emphasis resellers put on legos inflate the prices to obscene levels.
Facts. Being a reseller is just sad since all you do is drive up prices and make your own hobby less affordable. Same with cars, people who just garage princess their cars are lame and only hurt young people trying to enter the hobby.

Bruh so many things I wanted to do, but my mom ignored at every point and ended up throwing them in a storage bin or doing a garage sale with them while I was at school.

The sheer volume of old lego sets that are broken up and thrown into a bunch of different bins in my house is astronomical. I recently started cleaning out the storage room of the house which just happens to be my old room, and man so many sets that I remember the pieces to, where I bought them, and where I first assembled them too. A bunch of lego city from 2010-2012, Star wars sets from 2008-2013 like the highly coveted set 8014 clone walker battle pack, and so much more like the old Indiana Jones sets, Chima, Alien conquest, etc. I have a plan in the very near future to try and rebuild these sets using online part lists & instructions.

The keep the boxes tip is honestly real. I built a bunch of my old sets a long time ago and went to resell them. Since I kept the boxes I made about $200-$500 more per set just by having the box

One day I’ll sort through my old Lego bin to rebuild the Star Destroyer I got for Christmas. I remember two of my grey flat plates broke so I never bothered but now that bricklink is around, probably wouldn’t be a bad idea to do that soon.
If I realized all this 15 years ago, when I was turning 13, and growing out of Lego (for a short time), I would’ve taken better care of my Lego. Now I’m here, digging through all my lego (never gave any away), to find all the parts for the first editions of the AT-AT and Falcon. At least, I still have the boxes for both,

These are two huge boxes of completely mixed up Lego as we would always take these kits apart and make our own stuff. I’ve started to rebuild as of about a week ago, along with collect again. I’m starting with the original T6 Jedi Shuttle
I remember seeing a lot of those background sets in the catalogues as a kid, especially that Kashyyk one in the beginning of the video. Such a throwback. Also, making sure my Revan gets one of the special plates now
My first job out of college was at a cpa firm who had a manufacturing client who made only two products. One was a heart shaped case for Beanie Baby tags. The other was a rectangular case for the butt tag. They made a lot of money one year and then went out of business. Yes you could probably guess my age.
I had a lego star wars set. Turns out one of the minifigs was a custom mold specific to that set making it incredibly valuable. I distinctly remember throwing that minifig away after i chewed on it because i was bored (i was like, 6). I kick myself in the leg to this day.
Finale step, when you decide youre done with legos(nobodys ever real done though he he) and you want to store them until the eventual day you get them out again, dont store them in your attic where it reaches 120 degrees during the summer time... yeah I made that mistake and get to someday rebuy all of the sets I grew up with (mostly 2009 Lego sets)

You can also use the 1x3 with two studs on top as the holes it the top allow it to stay in place and stops it from breaking

Hey also, keep a bit of space between the torso and legs because after a while it puts stress and can possible cause the torso to crack
