What do you think the best LEGO Star Wars remake is?
Not looking ahead but I sure hope 3499 Gungan Sub is tops. Improved on it in every single way. The double sided heads with breathing apparatuses, the ability to seat the characters like theyâre supposed to beâŠPlus including that amazing Queen Amidala
@@countof3everybodyOD I didnât mention that one in this video, but that is a great remake!
having old lego Star Wars sets are great! Since they are now lots of money. But really just collectors items.
I like the 2017 Obiwan Star Fighter with Booster Ring set!!! :) I love your editing!!!
2013 gunship was quite a step up from the 2002 gunship. I know there was another gunship in between but it was not an episode II version.
I'm glad LEGO has come so far with updating iconic vehicles, locations and characters...But there's still something charming with the older sets from the 2000's/early 2010's especially since I feel things were more consistent with the super hero's theme and the fact they were experimenting and making their own action themes and original themes in general because lately Lego has been making some really weird decisions and I hope they get back on track so the company doesn't go bankrupt again

I used to stare at all the sets in the manual sheet that came in with my X wing
Man this video is a nostalgia trip for me. I had a lot of those original sets, like the airspeeder, the x-wing, the at-st, darth maulâs ship, Anakinâs pod racer, obi-wanâs starfighter, and others. Good times.
Glad you enjoyed it man!
5:56 OG UCS Star Destroyer owner here - the magnets issue was actually a misprint in the manual. If you move them slightly they hold forever (well at least mine is still standing after 20 year ... damn I got old ...)
Yeah, my lego magnets still hold after 30 years so I doubted it was because of "wearing out". Thanks for the explanation!
I think as the years went on, the vehicles became less of a focus as the draw became more for the iconic figures. Sets like the new Seperatist AATs and the Marvel HeliCarrier seem to want the minifigs to be front and center, with the vehicle as the backdrop.
2:01 Lego actually did the Light up hand effect for a few different sets outside of Star Wars. Like their Police sets had the glowing hands, but instead of a Lightsaber, you slapped a yellow stud on top and they worked like Flashlights.
Oh yeah I remember those for the LEGO city sets!
@@mjfeldy Yeah! I had a few of'em. It really was a neat concept for the time.
Shame they never brought it back
8:19 That made me laugh so hard xD
Mee too lol. That was perfect
8:20 killed me!! đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
I wonder what the original video is
@@microwaveology2578 Pls write me, in you find it! ;-)
@@Garnbube6840 czcams.com/users/shortsjPN0BsaPeb8 it's not the same video but it has the same audio, it's still funny
@@joaopedrolopes8936 Thx, JoĂŁo! đ€Łđ€Ł
whoâs gonna tell homie that the builds for the first two imperial shuttles are exactly the same except for a few piecesâŠ
The dancing Lego Star Wars characters between explanations is by far the best part of the video
Two things
1: It's crazy how much these sets have evolved, really goes to show how much lego has improved with their sets and techniques.
2: at 6:02, the dance is synced with the song
PLZ WHAT IS THE SONG
The song name is located down below description
@@guisseppener255 IT ISN'T
@@Luckyblox14 Oh its not showing on pc, I was using my phone that time. So probably it will show on your mobile.
@@guisseppener255 hey, it not on mobile either. The creator responded, it's "a song for densie"
Those transitions though
I remember the Episode 3 Era sets, they were pretty incredible in fact.
The Clone tripod, the ARC-170 first edition which was amazing, and even this pretty rare set which contained Obiwan's and Anakin's starfighters, with 2 vulture droids and a tri-fighter. And the Bee Gees haircut for Anakin was incredible.
We can also speak about the Republic Gunship evolution. Incredible.
That first TIE Fighter is so nostalgic. I remember being so confused why every TIE Fighter I saw after was grey instead.
Bro it looks like I stumbled upon your channel right before a huge blow up. 5k subs but a vid with 100k views in a week, dang, that must be exciting
Yessir! Iâm hyped
bro had to flex the ucs sets at the endđ
Something I picked up on is that the 2021 Tie Fighter set is actually based on the Ties seen in Star Wars Rebels. Those ties are the grey and black as seen but also the short wings.
these are some of the best chapter transitions ever, thank you youtube for gracing me with this video in my reccommended
I have so many old sets it's ridiculous. Even my 1st edition Falcon still sits on my shelf to this day
Tbh the intros to each set are peak
I wasnât even around for when the first Millenium Falcon came but for some reason that design is so charming and goofy I love it
Thats not enough... We need more... MORE LANDSPEEDERS!! I NEEED THEMM!
I wasn't really expecting some of the newer LEGO sets to be less detailed and less accurate than their predecessors.
Pro tip: A comparison works much better when you actually show the sets more than 1 second each and ideally side by side.
Love the little Easter eggs that the dancing characters ARE kinda ARE the people who own the ship like
Han solo and chewie for the Millennium falcon and Luke and ben kenobi for the sandcrawler also palpatine for the imperial shuttle
Cool video! Well done. Instant sub :)
Thank you so much! I appreciate it!!
i remember having that original grey snowspeeder just because the cannons on it were iconic to its design.
I feel like some new Lego sets stray too far from being Lego. Itâs important that Lego sets still look like Lego and not a model.
I completely agree man! And honestly I donât know how LEGO is going to keep improving on set remakes in the future without them looking too much like models
@@mjfeldy Iâve thought about this and I think what they can do to continue improving is include more unique minifgs.
Thatâs a vein they could almost never fully tap
L take
@@balljoint5853 whose, dog
sure but some people want models which is why both are important
Man, I miss the days when licensed minifigs had yellow faces and were printed in the same style as regular minifigs.
The main appeal of Lego to me was always the ability to combine EVERYTHING seamlessly. The new licensed minifigs and specialised bricks and what not make that difficult.
The thing about the old sets is they were affordable.
Honestly, I get why the mid 2000s sets are so nostalgic. They were from when the Lego Star Wars video games came out. I felt like having one of the sets featured in the game was a status symbol.
I love the evolution of lego, but I feel that I can no longer justify the price of the products, a lot of the vehicles that I wanted to see and can afford now have either already been done and wont be done again for awhile or are just wayy to pricey for what it provides.
Mid 2010s were gold for LEGO SW sets
Just a great video, thanks for it
love how han dances on beat 4:35
Thanks for the video !
This is my most favourite video of yours to date! Great work buddy! Youve made an awesome video! I think the most recent droid carrier is perfect and could not be improved!
Thanks so much man!! I appreciate it!
@@mjfeldy PLZ I need to know what trasition music is

2004 Mellenium Falcon is just đ
"so that you and your friends - if you have any - can duel each other"
Hah.
Great video! The newer sets do indeed look really really cool, but as others have said the charm of the "generic piece" sets is sadly gone. I would love to say that there is some objective truth in having sets where the designer had to get creative with generic pieces, but I suspect what I'm really experiencing is just... being in my 30s and longing for days gone by đ
Great video! Just a suggestion. There are a lot of pictures that need more screen time seconds. They disappear too fast
Seeing all my 1999-2005ish sets evolve is cool, but still nostalgia hit to know i uave the orginals
you sir deserve waaay more subs/vieuws love the content!
Thank you so much man I appreciate that!!
I really enjoyed this compilation. Very nice job!đđ
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
I love the blocky designs of the old series of sets
Iâm glad you donât let nostalgia blind you
the transitions in this video are my favourite thing ever
God damn the nostalgia đ„Č
The transformation set was my very FIRST lego set I ever got. From toys R us for Christmas one year at my cousins house. Ah memories
Lego is one of the rare products out there that are continuously getting better
I had the old transformation table but my mum said I couldn't open it till my birthday in 3-4 months. I carried it everywhere with me, to school, around the house until I could open it. It disappeared overtime as things always do but I am so sad that it's gone :(
9:24 They also change the name from 'Slave I' to 'Boba Fett's Starship' Because the word "Slave" isn't Kid friendly.
That noise at 8:20... I'm crying XD
lmao this vid had me laughing every time you go onto the next Lego set great editing man well worth the time to make
Man it brings me back I had the first landspeeder, the slave 1 Jango fetts slave 1 and lots of others I have to find them now
Very much appreciated the transition parts the mostđđ
Honestly I love most of the 1999-2004 sets, some of them look goofy like the first Slave 1 and the blue tie fighters but thereâs something about them I love, probably because of the Lego Star Wars games since I never had any Lego sets as a kid so nowadays for me itâs like having an in game item in real life even though the intention of the games was the opposite of that
The AT TE evolved Really good
great video dude
0:22 Bruh the Napoleon Dynamite is so nostalgic
There is one problem with all the Lego X-Wings including the new ones which Iâve always had to fix myself. Rear landing gear. Anyone who has an X-Wing set knows what I mean đ
If you plan on building the 2002 ucs star destroyer, get yourself some neodymiums and use those instead of the crappy lego magnets, it will help keep it from falling apart
"...so you can duel with your friends... if you have any..."
I'm dying laughing right now.
I legit just got the new Slave I lego set for christmas. It is pretty small, but it fits nicely on my shelf so I can't complain.
I clicked for the content, but stayed for the vibes đ
This was a super fun video and I loved the idea, but I wish I went into a little more detail on the comparisons and design differences. I noticed one design of the Sandcrawler used smooth blocks and another had a stud exterior. What made the new lightsaber duel set inferior?
My favorite section was the tie fighter because you broken down the design differences, coloring, different cockpits, etc. I'd have loved for each section to have gone into detail like that! Great video man.
Thank you so much man!! I really appreciate the honest feedback!
Amazing video keep up the good work!
Thank you!!
8:34 love the Napolean Dynomite Ost here, hope im not the only one who noticed it.
fun fact: the 2019 millennium falcon and 2021 tie fighter go great together if you switch up the Minifigures for the falcon to a new hope Minifigures
Actually, you can see the back of the cockpit section of the T-16 in it's hanger in A New Hope, directly behind C-3PO as he's lowering into the oil bath. The gantry that Luke walks across to enter the workshop areas runs behind the engine and above the lower wings. It's hard to spot when you're not looking for it, but it's there, as well as his toy model version of course.
Amazing video.
I watched the whole vid and was shocked to see your subscriber count, wtf man your videos are so well made you deserve a lot more ! Keep up the awesome work
Thanks so much man! That means a lot!
Lego is one of the few things that I prefer get more complex and intricate with time.
Great video, but would love a slower speed to see all the sets for longer
Great job đ I'm subbing
Thanks for the sub!
Hey man love your vids, I just found your channel today and I pretty much instantly subscribed! you have inspired me to do more Lego stuff on my channel. Thank you so much for making great content!
Thank you so much for the support man!! That means a lot!
Complete memory flash bang when you showed the lightsabers light up on the Minifigures. Found them for like $80 online
U deserve way more than 9k subs my boy
The skyhopper was the first lego set I ever had
2015 AAT is honestly amazing I am a big fan no problems for a playlet.
I had the 1999 Darth Maul ship and 2000 Slave 1. Loved playing with them. And in some ways Iâd prefer them over newer models, because they actually look like LEGO with a lot of normal bricks.
SO. MUCH. THIS. For me, old kits have a lot of charm because they actually look like a lego recreation of the actual vehicles. Today, so many of the sets look like a toys with some lego features (overuse of the curved and rounded one-of-a-kind bricks that are recreating entire sections of the vehicle. It's a sin universal to lego overall, not just SW sets).
The UCS (whatever that means) Star Destroyer is gonna be my big Christmas gift this year
A lot of the sets on display in this video seem like some of them would be best as kitbashes to make the "best version" in my opinion
Just wanna give props to you for the use of the amazing 'Song for Denise' by Piano Fantasia in this video. What an absolute banger!
I always liked the âdisplay standâ that the original TIE came with
0:17 Hey i got all three of those and they are beautiful!
Snowspeeder=goat and it is so damn nice
Dude that was lit đ„
Thanks bro!!
i had the lego mtt from 2007 we were re doing part of our house and a door fell sideways hit the ground and crushed it i couldnt express how devistated i was when i saw that happen man i miss it.
I'm dying with the transitions lmao.
Great work tho!
Duel on mustafar was one of mine first lego sets EVER
Nice flex of the UCS gunship and ATAT at the end now Iâm jealous đ
The 07 mtt is one of my all time favorite sets
For me, the 2015 Imperial Shuttle is definitely the best! The build is great and I like the figs, I do wish it included a few more imperial figs tho
The clip of the guy screaming with the tie fighter made me lose my shitđ
I have the 2021 Luke's x-wing and it's really good, took me 2 of 3 days to build and well it's just amazing with the accomplishment of detail.
Old sets just have soul.
Lego be taking notesđđđ
I have the 2017 millennium falcon and my friend made it and he gave it to me it still sits in my room till this day
Finally someone who doesnât hate on sets everyone else doesnât like.
