I was visiting there once… walking down the street, minding my own business, and some dude that worked at a clothing store on the other side of the street started talking smack about my jeans… out of style… hilarious! So we exchanged polite insults and went out separate ways. But Laguna is a very pretty place… with a lot of traffic… like pretty much all of OC.

I lived in laguna for over thirty years. Moved out about six years ago due to traffic and crowds. I don't know if you mentioned mentioned homelessness, but it has gotten terrible over the past ten years. They have taken over Main Beach and most of downtown. It just wasn't worth the cost anymore. Nothing about that city is peaceful anymore.

This is my home town of over 60 years. It's been full of tourists, traffic, and parking issues since its inception. PCH was the only North- South route prior to the I-5 being built. There are homeless people everywhere in California, partly due to the mild winters. Take over of Main beach by holeless people is patently false.
@@johnwalker8417 The homeless people flock to Laguna from surrounding areas because of the shelter in Laguna Canyon. However, its closed during the day so they all relocate to Main Beach during the day. This is common knowledge. I lived in North Laguna and downtown by the high school. I know downtown as well as anyone. You probably live up in TOW and never even go down there.
If you live in Laguna Canyon
Traffic on the 2 lane road makes it pretty hard to leave your house. Summer tourism makes PCH crazy crowded to walk there. Part of me died when A La Carte went out of business taking its Artichokes and Cajun Shrimp Pasta with it. As a kid, homeless people bought us beer, in the 90s the town experienced a massive fire,

@Living in OC | Garrett Gahn no, I'm happy to say I left in 1999, I lived in the area the first 20 years of my life when it wasn't as crowded, went to school in town, I lived at the end of Laguna Canyon. I enjoyed it then. Kids had 20s and 50s in their wallets, me? As a kid I had no wallet. A fire at the time destroyed a lot of homes there, us high school kids partied/ drank in them

@Living in OC | Garrett Gahn I live in Texas, its the culturally the opposite this way- in Texas unlike southern California people are polite to your face but rude with their vehicles. In Texas, the insurance policy deems it as a no fault state. This means that if you hit someone or someone driving in California with your car they show up in court with a neck brace and a fake doctor bill. Here, people don't mind running you over. Whether your on foot or driving, it just adds a few temporary negative points on your driver's license. I only miss the food in California, not the over population, the extreme amounts of homeless people, state tax/Mello roos/everyone measuring penises about where you live and what you do for work, traffic, people who have always lived in southern California can't see themselves settling anywhere else. All they have is the best variety of restaurants and the best climate. The most disingenuous people live there, I used to be of their mindset
