Here it is, the new project Mini. I found it on Facebook Marketplace. The plan is to do a budget restoration and get it back to solid and roadworthy condition with a new MOT and fresh bill of health.

It’s amazing to see what a great finish you can still get from cellulose sprayed in a garage! Top job mate!
Smashing job ! ..hats off to you...What a peach of a save .
1st BOOM 😂 Not letting you down Keith
Another greag video, cars is looking great, looking forward to seeing it at Bingley.
You do well to do any painting in the garage with no extraction 👍👍👍👍
Thanks, I do have a small ish 12” extractor which helps a bit
Looking forward to seeing this in Bingley Hall on Sunday Keith
Looks amazing , paint has come up a treat . Car looks new 👍
Hi Keith, the nice thing I like about this restoration is that the mini now looks beautifully original again but in just really good condition. Like a five year old really well looked-after mini would look. Cleverly done my friend! 👍😊
Beautiful mate carnt wait to see it sunday
Quality job there Keith , great video as always
Looking really good
Belting job mate 👍
By the way I've uploaded a film of my mini. You like the begining as it would make you recollect on another film when your dog was on camera.
The two sides look fine there's no fadey spots.
As you say I must have had a Brucey vision! 😂
Didn't the fuel tank go in early on as well? But what a cracking job Keith (AGAIN) saving another Mini from the car eater.
I shouldn't worry about the nitpickers and 'purists' at Bingley mate. I swear many people just go to these shows to pick holes and try and make themselves look 'clever'. I used to get it at bike shows and ignored them and had the last laugh as I walked off with the rosettes and occasional cups. 90% have never laid a spanner on a car (or bike).
Sadly I can't make Bingley this year or the coffees would have been on me. Have a great time and enjoy the compliments. No one deserves them more.... 👍👏
"Brucey Vision" I love it! Yes, the fuel tank was the first part to get used. Thanks once again. I used Rivnuts on the grille (Next episode!)
You should be very proud Keith, you've done a top job. It's been a pleasure watching this build
Thank you.
Hiya Keith-Bruce looks superb. You should be very proud of how he has turned out, he is a little gem. Keep well, thanks Keith and look forward to Bingley!
Hi.keith.well I must admit you have done well.the only thing I would say is when building up your coats of paint .do what we call dry coats that way the thinners won't go searching as much.ive been spraying cells for over 50 yrs.so been there lots of times.good luck.kevin
Thanks Kevin
Superb final result . On camera at least when the car arrived it looked in remarkably good condition, turns out it must have spent its life out in the open and was actually very heavily rusted , so really a vast amount of work - this will be a great bargain for somebody now totally solid , mechanically all good ready for the next 40 years. Very good work Keith.
Nice work Keith looking forward to seeing this in the flesh! Another mini saved!
Thanks 👍
hi mate mini looks great i have following you for a long time never left u a comment before i will speak to u sunday at bingley hall
Cool, see you there.
It looks awesome Keith! I look forward to seeing it and you in real life at the weekend..
Nice :-)
Outstanding! Looks wonderful. I'd be proud to drive such a handsome Mini. 👍
What a cracking job you've done.
Nice to see a little auto getting saved.
Kieth you should be very proud nice job👏👏👏
Kieth love thr little buffing machine, I need one, where and what is it?
Fab job.
If you search eBay for Duren DA polisher it should come up
it's looking awesome mate! You should be proud, the new owner will be so happy. Another great job. 😎
2nd Paul!
Thanks D & N F, That makes you the first loser though 🤣🤣
😎
Looks fantastic, well done Keith!
Wonderful looking little mini Keith , you do make the fitting of the front windscreen look easy, see you at Bingley
Looking stunning.... another one kept alive 😎👍
Well I have a couple of comments. 1st the panel gaps on the new front end look awesome as does the paint job. 2nd we have seen Mark’s Madgwick (named after the famous corner at Goodwood) and now this has to be a “Millercorner #1”.
You can see the Madgwick in person if you're going to Bingley. 😉
The mini looks great Keith, nice work 👍
The shell looks good
It’s looking absolutely stunning 👍
wow all the hard work looks amazing
That has come up really really well Keith. A bit of time in the sun and even any slight mis-match will disappear. What to come and paint my Mini lol. Well done. Won't it be funny if it failed the MOT by it was given a clean bill of health. Just plenty of road testing needed now before its long journey, i reckon not to far 🤔
Bruce looks fantastic Keith. I'm very interested in seeing how you mount the grill with riv nuts. I am thinking of doing that but there isn't a lot of meat for the riv nuts to fit around the top.
Maybe as I mentioned in a previous video, it’s been painted in two pack or synthetic enamel ? Best way is to seal with a epoxy sealer primer to be sure, there is a saying I learnt as an apprentice painter you can put salt on chips but not chips on salt , so synthetic on to cellulose ok cellulose on to synthetic no no no crinkle crinkle
Aha, thanks for the tips Neil, I'll try to remember that one.
20:47 Your taking the Mickey now 😂. I was hoping to see you stamping your feet again. Hope you reused to old windscreen rubber and chrome trim. Its a budget build you know 😂
Old rubber and I just wrapped some tin foil round the old trim LOL
@@classicminiworkshop 😂I hope you wrapped it length ways and not just round and round, gives a better appearance, no seams to let the water through either🤣
23:35 Nothing wrong with that, not been on fire has it?? Just wire wheel the crap out of it 😛
Either I’ve missed some episodes or you’ve done a cheeky swap for an identical mini 😂.It looks great but I’m still sad your getting rid of Bruce oh wait no I’m not lmao.Enjoy the show.
I'll be sad to see this one go. It's grown on me a bit.
