then he went home, did some electrical work, then some plumbing, after changed the roof, sold a house, did some calls and puts on the stock market, and finally ended the day when he saved a man's life after he performed open heart surgery.
And that song he wrote last week just hit # 1 on the billboard charts!
Clarkson said the stig has a photo of jeff in his wallet
In his spare time he teaches needle at the retirement village.
What I want to know is how and who taught this man all these skills.....he isn't an old bloke either.....must have had a great teacher....
Still waiting to watch a video of the alfa with the ferrari engine actually driven on a road!
How can someone be good at everything on a car? You are amazing bro!
Passion.
Mickey K Tessema ...yup, this guy is super amazing!
I definitely feel emasculated after watching this hahahaha
There's a parts store to order that from. Nope. I'll make it. Ya can get this on line. Nope. I'll craft it. True skills on display. Thanks for making this video.
@its yeshau not jesus I'll be excited to see the build you do next then. Because every car guy on here realizes how bad ass this is and you're just saying it's just ok, so your vehicle must be AMAZING!
This gives new meaning to a built car. There’s no sending it off to a motor shop, having an interior shop put in the interior and a body shop do the paint. Jeff is a Walmart super store of car building. Huge respect for that kind of talent.
Even his wife also helping him for minor job
Gotta love one stop shops! 😉
That is fantastic guys. I am glad this video has been so popular as to hit 1 million views. Make sure you check out the other completed builds on my channel and catch up with the progress of the current builds.

*Disclaimer: Jeff has more ability and talent than the entirety of some manufacturers RnD departments.

Damn. That is called talent and skills...
I'm amazed that how do you have the skill in all section of building the car I never seen any one who have all the skill in building one whole car. I'm jealous of you...You're amazing bro.
The Devil Z has been revived ! I already feels like being possessed every time I look at that beautiful beast of a machine.
Hi Jeff, greeting from singapore!! ur knowledge out of this world... totally insane... so much experience!! Multi purpose skills... inspired me never give up...u r my mentor!!
It's like “Devil Z” in story ‘WANGAN Midnight’...👍
You beat me by 3 day's lol
Me too
got me by a week. saw the thumb and heard this: czcams.com/video/EnvwhYfqD4w/video.html
It is the devil Z! It the same car ! My dream car! Although in the Wangan story they customised to street racing car the interior is different from this video because it was meant to race. But still it is the Nissan Fairlady Z 240z or In other market is called Datsun 240z.
Hi is back. Devil Z!!!
Dude made a metal break with 2 pieces of angle iron and 2x4, then later sews his own diamond stich interior. And all of it came out AMAZING! I am not a real man, I did not know this until this very second in time.
Absolutely beautiful job! I once owned a '73 240Z. Built the motor, wasn't satisfied so went to the junk yard and bought a full 280Z block for $100. Built that and it was day & night in increased power. Painted it BMW Alpine White and blacked out all the chrome. Wish I never sold her.
Dude you just rock..I hate I’m unable to just pick up a tool and go to work..I’m a half blind crippled DVET, who was a master tech for about 20yrs and I loved coming home staying up all night after work building ,and R& R my hobbies..your a talented man, enjoy it..
To master a single discipline is a challenge in itself, but to competently restore the car across all professions is simply amazing. As American Generals would say we will defeat the enemy with Shock and Awe. That is my reaction shock and awe! Well done.
You really did a great job, the car looks really awesome. Pls don't get rid off it
Wow, I've watched tons of these rebuild projects and you my friend are hands down the single most talented all around incredibly skilled true builder I've ever seen!
i am unspeakably jealous, not only of how amazing the car is but also the fact that you did it all by yourself. absolutely astonishing!!
The Devil Z looks awesome. I'm still a fan of the 240Z. Well done, mate. Cheers from Chile!
Sir..you are a genius!
When the front bumper fell off, I felt guilty by not been there to lend you my two handy hands. You rock brother; that Datsun looks awesome. Cheers from NYC 🗽
I was speechless watching this..... The skill's on this Man is astounding ! Beautiful machine !
I just re watched this again. reminders of my 1970.5 white Z which was handed down to me by my older sister! Thank you Jeff. Merry Christmas! You are truly Masterful!
スッゴく楽しそうで、こっちまで笑顔が伝染っちゃったww。
それにしてもエンジン組みから塗装から内装まで、全部ご自分でやっちゃうなんて凄いな!
You Sir are truly a master mechanic and jack of all auto trades, as other viewers have stated, i too have never seen anyone good at everything to do with building a car. Keep up the amazing work. God bless you and your family.
Man, you are an example of a wholesome person; you're humble and super skilled at the same time, but you also set an example for other males out there, that this "activity" isn't just a male dominated spectrum, but can also include and celebrate the companionship of women, as you have so effortlessly displayed by including clips of you working and sharing a laugh with your wife, even having her test drive the car! Awesome stuff and wish you the best!
Really great work Jeff. I don't think many of us understand the dedication and devotion required to achieve a project like this. Truly inspiring. No idea why your video was recommended to me but I watched both videos and subscribed. All the best.
日本のチューナーさん達でもここまで一人で出来る人はいませんよ!!
あっぱれ!!!
現車拝見してみたい!!
同感です(-o-)/
l forgot to add Jeff you’re amazing at restoration. If l could only do half of that stuff. Keep up the good work. Keeping the legends alive.
Rare to see someone with the skills to do every part of a build. Metal, body, paint, interior, power train, suspension and wiring.. each requires its own level of attention and detail. Super impressive man.
That's the most beautiful work I have ever seen, the most incredible thing is the perfect manual work that you do, compared to most American "restorers", who put all new pieces, and there are no handmade signs. Congratulations, and greetings from Argentina!
The part where u really had all my respect was when u made your own headliner and door covers. U went from working in a car to sewing some shit up. Super driven.
Congratulations on your project! You are an inspiration to me & many others I'm sure. Keep up the amazing work!
Nice to meet you. I'm watching it in Japan. I am very impressed that there is someone who loves Z so much. Thank you very much. Please give it to love for a long time.
I hope when some folks watch this even if the subject matter doesn't interest them they understand one thing...the satisfaction of accomplishing " doing" ! Motivation and desire is this example !Jeff you are very talented and I can't express enough how much I enjoyed this video.
I can't top a comment everything's been said and done, I'll only add one thing very good work on one of my favorite cars, congratulations and keep it up 👍👍👍
This man is a BEAST! WHAT TALENT!!! Truly amazing and meticulous!
You truly are very good at rebuilding the Z, I am going through the same process right now, you have given me ideas on how I should do my own 240Z interior trim thank- you.
You're an amazing craftsman. Beautiful work. Beautiful car.
Simply freakin unreal!! Mad skills Jeff sir. You almost built the darn thing from scratch. lol I love the Z series.
Dude, you are a jack of all trades, loved the video. My favorite part was when you were bending tubing and building that cage on your garage floor. Good work man. Car is beautiful.
dude you do it all from the outside to inside even building of the block etc. I have to outsource for 30-40% of a build like that you have all the knowledge to do it all!!!!
Im amazed
What an amazing build! You are really talented!
How can someone do thumbs down? Attempt to do one part of this project, then you may want to look how good or bad you done vs this guy. He is so talented.
What a great work for a great car. I had a 260Z back in 1989 and I loved it
Legend has it he also played the drums and the bass in his background music! That’s how good he is .
200+ people can suck it !!
Amazing!
I really Hope this gets viral, I subscribed after the Porsche in 10 mins shared by a major car page
I get exhausted just watching how hard you work. Your energy and dedication is inspiring.
When are you going on Jay Lenos garage?
Jeff I have never met anyone that is great at everything when building a car.. this is awesome.. I wish I was that good.
What you said about the sound is so true, reminds me of my 240Z I used to have years ago. Man, i miss it.

Awesome😅😁👍👍👍
Greetings from Indonesia🇲🇨, Southeast Asian.
😁🙋♂️
Jeff in a few years: "yeah nah mate now its time to take this beauty to the dyno" (builds his own dyno with classic rock music playing in the background)
When he went and cut off the strut that's when this changed from a shadetree mechanic random resto video to the next level... this video makes me smile....
Finnaly! someone actually doing a proper restoration on a 240z. Well done looks sick
If only it was possible to skip the sanding in real life as easy as it was to cut it out of the montage.
Congratulations. Looking forward to the Alfa.
Everybody gangsta till the devil z is made real
This bloke is amazing , he does everything himself and all to perfection , what a talent and a beautiful car , good for him . btw im fixing my push bike this weekend lol
I just happened to find your videos through the sim project and I have to say that you sir, are incredible. I always thought of myself as a do-it-all person but you are something else. Subscribed.
Awesome video Jeff! I don't know what spark plugs you're using but I may have a few tips on how to get a little more oomph out of that motor. First I'd try the NGK BPR6ES and precisely gap them all to 1.0mm and I think you'll like them. If you want to try something even more "performance plug" than that, there's an article online called Plugs and Wires Atlantic Z Car Club referring to the NGK ZFR6F-11 which are the extra-projected plugs with the "V-Power" grooves on them that will cheat some extra advance (and extra compression too by virtue of the projected tips). The ZFRs should come with a note of caution though if you have a modified (shaved) head then you have to be mindful the clearance with the top of the pistons on the upstroke. Before the ZFR existed I was running the GR5 on the track which unlike the ZFR are a bit hotter a plug than they should be. Helps with carbon fouling though for people who make too many short drives, excessive idling or stop and go driving. These Datsuns are finicky about plugs and wires and NGK are the way to go generally. Another old hot rodder's trick is to mark the open side of the plug tip on the rear end of the plug, and when you're torquing the plug on the head make sure it's pointing towards the intake valve for a pip better combustion, in theory at least.
Also on keeping or selling the car, for the record Datsun Spirit here in Virginia can build these L-engines out to 120HP/L naturally aspirated which is Ferrari F12/812 level stuff, for ~$11,000 USD. I'm sure you could achieve this down under from the right shop. The shop down there that built the "Green Hornet 240Z" engine look more than capable of such a build. I see guys on racing channels here on CZcams test lapping some of the fastest cars in the world hitting fast laps in the low 1:40:00s at Laguna Seca and he's pipping high 1:38s, in traffic. In any case whether you ever built it or not, or even whether you kept it or not, it's a selling point to keep in mind if nothing else. These motors are better than most swappers ever realize. Check out "Chris 240z dyno" on CZcams to see what a guy built in his own garage with a turbo L28ET. If he can do it I wouldn't bet against you that you could do it yourself too as another option. 400HP to the wheels. Don Devendorf's L28 was laying down 700HP to show what these bulletproof engines are truly capable of. Tom Monroe's "How to Rebuild" which I think I remember you have claims they're good for 800HP in the front of the book.
Really nice work man, congrats!!!
man this makes me feel incompetent!
incredible stuff mate!
That colour blue looks so amazing. What a beautiful car you have created. Looks and sounds perfect.
Dude! You can cover the whole shop, you don’t need outsiders,a very great job ,one of my favorite cars ever, besides the 77 Toyota celica ST , god bless your talent.
This 240z is the ICONIC on Japanese🇯🇵 Manga, Anime, and Game & Arcade Game Wangan Midnight/Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune❤👍👍👍
Great job-torches to sewing machines!
It's crazy how many skills you have mate. From body work to engine build. I wish I knew so much about cars. I just drive them and know how they work. 😂
Good job brother. As a former 240 owner I can tell you rust and Datsun are the same name. Nice to see you cut out and replace rather than bondo and camouflage. Hope you enjoy your new ride.
awesome timelapse... cant wait for the alfa timelapse :)
When you realize both of his car could be modified to look like the legendary blackbird and devil z from the infamous mid night club
Such a phenomenal dedication, i was speechless seeing how it came out, so rewarding !
im not sure what am i enjoying while watching this, the satisfaction of painting the car or the groove of the bassline backgound playing
Love the Porsche and the z know thats a good wife helping pull the engine thats something you dont see in these utube car vids
Watch Sarah-n-Tuned than m8.
I never thought Roger Federer is also a great mechanic!? Cheers mate!
The best rebuilder video I ever seen. He is good in every part of rebuilding the body, interior, exterior, painting, engine. And good in sewing. 😀 👍👍👍👍 . Super nice datsun.
Holy shit....did you just do all the metal work, the paint and prep....the engine rebuild...the upholstery...all the welding...the exhaust..everything!!! You Sir, are an old school artisan...more power to you...and on top of all that you also have a lovely wife..
How do you not have several million subscribers??!?! You are so far and above other similar car CZcamsrs, this is a tragedy. Everyone, send out the word, let's get eyes on this channel!
That color reminds me of the...
*DEVIL Z!*
*Wangan midnight!*
Akuma Z
Not only colour, the wheels, the fender and the bumpers all exactly like those of...Devil Z!
ZETTO!
in Japan,they call Z car = FairladyZ
Or s30z
Hmm .... We the Japanese, it is most common to call it [Z], not call [Z car].
Only if want to specify the model year, we'll call by model-type such as "S30".
And then, because "S30" suggests [Fairlady Z], we rarely bother to call "Z" repeatedly like "S30Z".
Nah weebs call it the DEVIL Z
My rhd Japan version ‘Fairlady Z’ had a 2.0 ltr L20 engine. 😊
That was brilliant! Cheers from Alabama. Love that build in 10 mins. Very easy to follow and the camera angles were mint.
Amazing. I don’t leave too many comments on videos but this one was well deserved. You’re multi-talented and that is a beautiful car that turned out better than most shop built cars 👍
*see how stitching is done on door panels
"OOOOHHHHHH! Now that make sense"
Devil Z😎😈
I seen your car at WTAC wouldn’t have thought it was done by one bloke in his shed, it was gorgeous in person props to you mate
Man, i don't need so many words to say YOU ARE THE BEST. very nice video.
Akio Asakura wants to know your location.
I thought McGyver was an urband legend...
Dude!!! WTF!
The fact that you do everything in your own destroys my self-consciousness...
Great work.
Greetings from Germany!
It's built to almost exactly what I have envisioned in my mind when I think of a 240,260 or 280Z restomod.....One thing I think would be both functional and good looking is. Some smoked gray polycarbonate headlight covers.
Every time I see a 1980s Z, it reminds me back when I was 13 in 1985....My older brothers 16yr old friend in my small Illinois town "borrowed" an early 80s tan/gold 280zx from some people who were out of town on vacation. He knew where they kept the keys for it in the garage. I was walking down the street on a friday night when he pulled up next to me, in it..... I had no idea at 1st that he had swiped it. We were joyriding for a bit before he admitted where he got it. I figured then was a good idea to get dropped off asap. He somehow managed to not get pulled over & got the car back without a scratch on it. He took the car out on the local country blacktop rd and was pushing the car to max speed. The owner never found out. When he dropped me off. I thought for sure he'd get pulled over for speeding. Plus knowing him, if the cops did try to pull us over. He would have tried to outrun them. It's a miracle the car made it back safe & sound after a crazy 16 yr old kid stole it and pushed it to It's limit one late summer friday night on Cameron blacktop in 1985 outside of Monmouth Illinois.
Who else clicked this vid because the 240 looks like Devil Z
Akio after crash, be like:
dasyat dia ni... dari kerja berat, customization smpi ke menjahit pun dia reti buat... salute...
Omg, a labor of love indeed!! But so worth it. Your 240z is beautiful and sounds awesome... made me a bit teary even!! Excellent job!
Love the home build, I owned a 1977 280Z and it ran strong 4 ever. Living in the midwest it rusted and I’d paint it every couple of years, being a Z man love yours! Gr8 build!
Big respect to this dude, from Japan.
I’m in awe of your abilities. You have acquired so much skill to be able to do all that and do it good. Wish I could do that
So envious. My first car was a 260z...saddest day was when my car guy told me a bare metal respray was a waste as it had too much rust. Would love to get back into a z, wish I kept mine, they are worth heaps these days. You did an amazing job on this beauty
Hey brother that a righteous set of skills you have going on, paint n body, engine building, metal fab, and that Datsun is one Sweet Ride👍
A Lot of passion and work went into this, Ty for Sharing.
I only joined you channel today, after my wife gave me your details - she cut your hair a day or so ago. You really talented Jeff. Love the Datsun!
Thanks mate.
Came to this channel for that budget racing rig. Saw this and now been blown away. How can you be good at everything?? Wowowow
Skills on display! Awesome build and great choice of car. Look forward to watching more.
This car is beautiful I can't wait to get my own 240z or 280z . You did a great job!
This video is un my favorites playlist for 2 main reasons, first your Datsun looks beautiful and second you show really good ideas for the interior that gonna help me when im restore my dad's 1977 Nissan Junior
Hell yes! Finally good car content again. Nice to see the rusty restoration, great jobs Jeff.
