Malcolm Young was very underrated.. He was the brain of AC/DC, he writes more amazing riffs and was just amazing people, he will be forever in our hearts. The legend of Rock.
What a beautiful way to honor Malcolm and all he has brought the world. I have been in night clubs in China, Italy, Mexico and Japan to name a few where party goer's mobbed the dance floor to his iconic rhythms, Few people will ever make this kind of positive impact on the world.
Actually the guitar was given to Malcolm by Harry Vanda who was in the Easybeats with George Young and post Easybeats the collaborative Vanda and Young.
Beautiful presentation from Joe! Love his knowledge and enthusiasm here! I was highly anticipating this Gretsch/ Malcolm model like so many other AC/DC guitar fans. I know words can't describe the magical feeling of those legendary riffs that Malcolm served up, but I'm going to have a hell of a good time trying to play them in his spirit and honour! Cheers to the greatest rock rhythm player ever! Love you Malcolm!!
This gave me absolute chills. Malcolm was the first guitar player I ever looked up to. He means the world to me! I would love to have one of these. RIP Malcolm we miss you!
"We made it exactly like he had it"
RIP Malcolm Young. You left behind great music, technique, tone, and most of all, a badass signature Gretsch! Mal forever!
