- It's time for the final installment of Street Fighter 3: Third Strike (online edition) combo trials! Today we're doing trials for Urien, Yang, and Yun, as well as the handicap trials where you have to fight cracked out AIs with only a small percentage of your life bar intact! These combos were crazy, but I had a lot of fun doing it. Let me know what fighting game you'd like to see me do next!

Being there live for the Yun vs Alex trial was the closest I’ve had to a spiritual experience in a looooong time 🥴

I'd love to see you do trials for games that don't get a lot of attention! For example I'd love to see a Plasma Sword episode but I'm fairly certain that game doesn't have a trials mode 😂 Darkstalkers even!

some of the darkstalkers trials are legit hard, stuff like buffering a raging demon input into a single button
I'm really loving these combo trial videos! 👀 I would personally love to see the persona 4 arena/ultimax trials since there's a lot of nutty stuff in those games.

Ever done the Skullgirls trials, JM? I know you've got some history with Skullgirls, but I don't know what the consensus is on how hard those are compared to these or KOF. I DO know that Peacock and Ms. Fortune trials took me forever to nail down.

18:38 interesting bit of psychology: the first part of the match where Jm stays far away and throws out punches to bait him into doing unsafe moves works up until 18:52 where Jm specifically says "letting him do unsafe stuff" yet disregards the strategy that got him to this point with relative safety. 18:57 He immediately goes in with an intended special punish that he has not used all match and leaves him unsafe, 18:59 waits with no backdash and no low punches to bait the computer, 19:02 puts himself into a wakeup situation that the computer naturally has element of surprise in on account that it can literally react in 1/60th of a second perfectly, 19:03 puts himself into the corner going for too much damage, 19:05 Hail Mary Raw, 19:08 tries to challenge the air instead of make distance.
From the moment he said "letting him do unsafe stuff" Jm started playing as if the computer was an actual person and made contextually bad decisions by using out-of-contextually good decisions. I bet you if he had said to himself "force the computer to do unsafe stuff" he would have had less chance of disregarding the winning strategy.

kof 13 is the big beast of combo trials. guillty gear xrd and blazblue also are crazy hard but fun. only attempt these when you feel ready for it, all of these might be 1 episode per character. get all the easier ones outb of the way first id say, after these there is almost no point in doing combo trials for another game
It could be interesting to make your own “combo trial” but take a specific labbed combo with varying degrees of difficulty online and land it on a real person. Obviously the combo would be much easier than these ones but I think that could be interesting

Man, I'm so glad I ended up watching you stream this...granted I caught you doing Yun's last trial. I literally booted up to also do that, along with the handicap trials.
You may or may not be my favorite fighting game CZcamsr and/or I may or may not have the bell turned on.
You should try out the SFEX trials! Underappreciated game and i'd love to see it get more love.

I loved doing combo trials on EX2 Plus. I never played much Third Strike, so I didn't get Online Edition. These combos look like fun.

LOL, the one hit kill challenge. That's something my brother and I would do. The fights would get so epic. We would throw out buttons but not even touch each other.
It's really funny to me how many crazy systems that are unique to a single character ArcSys has come up with over the years, which are not game-breaking at all, but the few times Capcom tries to give a character their own unique capability that only they have, it's "this is the only character in the roster who can use Custom Combos" or "This character's comeback super move does not need to hit the other character in any way to get the value out of it, and also recharges itself so they always have more uses of it than any other character" stuff that makes the character completely broken.
I mean Yun is both fun and a lot more balanced than you’d think so it’s not really all that bad

Street fighter ex 2 has really fun trials
Isn't there a fan-made combo trial in the fightcade version of Jojo's? I feel like that could be interesting, seeing what players would create as a combo trial as opposed to what devs typically make.
They're being worked on last I checked, some characters only have a couple others have nothing, others have full sets

Chat is basically like the rumours in the arcade pre-internet. You have to gauge which group knows the game and which one is bullshitting.

Tekken 7 does not have official combo trials but the community has made some combos that are really challenging to do

Themes fighting herds has combo trails in training mode and you’ve played it before and the combos are cool and never annoying

Check out the far more interesting and more 'free-form' trials in Guilty Gear XX: The Midnight Carnival (PS2 NA Console Release) "Mission Mode". 40 special fights with unique conditions (poisoned, unlimited tension, enemy health regen, combo limiters, etc.), with some being pretty straightforward and some being absolute madness.

Yoyo, I am definitely enjoying trials vids! I think my preference would be some anime games like P4A or Blazblue or something. I do always enjoy looking at 2D stuff more.
