- Packing to Canada & deciding what to add & what not bring can be challenging. This is because Canada is vast with all kinds of things to explore & huge variations in terms of climates. The limit becomes challenging when you have to pack with a limited number of suitcases that you are allowed to carry. This video will provide you with an understanding of the things that you need to pack while moving to Canada. To make things similar, I have made a detailed list by touching below topics
- clothing, utensils, jewellery, food items, electronics & personal hygiene. You can use this video to make your own itinerary list.

hey! Why not mixie or an electic rice cooker if it supports voltage? Are they cheap there?
Hi! You can carry mixie or cooker provided it supports voltage& if have enough space . Mixie isn’t cheap here ,it’s around $200 (I personally purchased Preeti mixie from Canada) and comes with warranty..So if something goes bad I can easily get it fixed in Canada itself. It’s totally a personal choice .However electric rice cookers are affordable .
My daughter shall be landing in Dec at MOntreal...how much minimum cash she should carry beside GIC ? Thnx
This video was quite informative! But may I ask, why shouldn’t we bring our straightener?? Is it a huge deal, or is it okay if I carry it?
Hey ,thank you ! You can carry straightener provided it supports the voltage as per Canadian standards
Can you also post on the baggage weight allowed on each flight for different classes and also how can we carry extra weight and what is the procedure to carry it.
Only two bags are allowed with 23 kgs each and 7kgs hand luggage.
Very nice. You mention something related to Jewellery. I didn't get it clearly. Can you make it details as my wife have Jewellery and we have to carry along
she asked to get all your jewelry evaluated by a jeweler, because at the airport(or in the plane, i'm not sure which) you are basically required to fill a customs form wherein you are required to fill the value of valuable assets you are carrying including cash jewelery etc
Hello, Canada stories, I have a question for you, can I carry my 125 ml moisturizer in a luggage bag? (not in my carry-on bag but the trolley bag)

Hey , thank you so much ❤️,you can buy brown from Indian stores as there are many Indian stores in Montreal as well but fro the initial few days its advisable to carry some rice with you . Hi what's your skin care products even I have oily skin here in India but I am coming there next year so the products will help. Pls share
Hey Dhrita , I have a laser treated skin, so I had to take only my doc recommended skin care, it was a heavy moisturizer called Ictyane .It worked for me but not sure if it would work for you too .But in canada , i use Aveeno with any face oils like hempseed oil or rosehip.Hope this helps

Hi Farah, all the equipment’s that u mentioned may not perform effectively if it doesn’t support dual voltage .Please check if it supports dual voltage and these are affordable in Canada. Not to worry
@@CanadaStories all those electronics are from dubai and UK.. Hope it won't be any problem but still I will make sure and your suggestion is really valuable and helpful for me beautiful.. Stay well
I am going in December and it is going to be very cold there, so should I carry a pair of good leather shoes from India to protect my feet atleast till the time I complete my shopping there or should I just purchase from there?
Hi same do let me know ??? Where are you from???I haven't done shopping yet??
Hey Neha, get a pair of shoes until you get your shopping done here.At the same Time don’t buy expensive ones in india, you get better varieties for cheaper prices here
What is copr ?
Student visa also need to claim jewelry?????
Yes ,it needs to be declared
But why no electronics like hair straightener or hair dryer?
Voltage is different..may not work here

Hey in canada the standard voltage is 120 V and electrical appliances that you get from your home country may not be compatible and may stop functioning
If u have the plug converter take it
