I have the same question! I read in the Powerpress information description that it is possible to have different rss with different podcast, but I still don' know how to do that!
if you're not updating your plugins you're really just asking for your site to be compromised. If it aint broke don't fix it doesn't apply here because tons of those updates are to fix broken things that you don't realize. If there is an incompatibility its pretty easy to roll the site back but in the decade of me using Wordpress I've only had that happen once. I have how ever fixed about 50 peoples sites that weren't updating and got compromised.

My understanding is that Wordpress limits you as to the amount of podcasts you can put. Is this accurate?

Most podcast hosts have embed code that you can grab, no? I know Libsyn and Blubrry both do.
