2:40 I didn't know that Genji and Tracer had faster movement speed, but now that I think about it it seems obvious...
I knew they felt quick. I thought it was like torb, who is normal speed but feels faster because of his size
Is it bad that I think realistically Torb should be slightly slower movement speed? Like not much but just a tad. Also I never actually knew that either, but now I think about it, yeah it makes sense.
@@tomKATT92 i dunno, as a short person myself i notice i tend to move a lot quicker to catch up to my friends who are literally all over 6 feet tall and im a whopping 5'5. but i get what you mean - animation wise it should be faster but movement wise it should probably stay a little slower. if that's what you meant then yeah i agree with you lol.
People wanna fight me when I say all hero’s don’t move at same speed. I be Orisa start running sametime as everyone else and gets left behind... You can’t tell me they all same speed 😂

Me too but he's weak to McCree Overwatch veterans like myself name for Cassidy Widowmaker Ashe & Soldier 76 since they frequently get used when there is a flying Pharah Echo and Mercy around due to them being Hitscan.

Very creative kit, im very curious about how this would work i wish blizz would at least try to put something like this in PTR just to test it.
Same... I want the ptr to be a place were they can constantly be adding buffs/nerfs/new maps and heros and not be afraid to take them away if to doesn't work. It is the public TEST region after all

Imagine trying to kill a dmg drone on a Tracer that's flanking you, or a heal drone on Doom. D:

But the drones have a max range which most likely the tracer and doom would be out of.
Imagine trying to kill a Zen healing Orb on Tracer or doom. Wait...YOU CAN'T
More reasons to stop playing unless they bring out the draft from games like league of legends
the best way to nerf this is to have the drone follow you and not immediately teleport to you when u move, so if u move too fast, the drone goes back to Overlord

A PvE Mecha event would be amazing. Like you having to team up to kill a Kaiju sized Omnic. Then at the end of the event, everyone votes on which of the team should be added into the game & the winner gets added.

I was never that interested in Overlord as a hero concept, but this video made me really like the idea! It would make sense in story, too- the squad would need some kind of in the field support, and this is very much in line with the theme.

He would be perfect for teams with Tracer, Widow, Wrecking ball, and other similar characters. It would be so nice to stick a drone on a Widow then leave her alone to do what she needs. All she would have to do is duck to cover and wait to get healed. I would love to see this in game, and I think this amount of effort in a video deserves a subscription.
As a new player I love this concept, although I was disappointed when I saw that it was a concept cause I thought this was going to be an actual hero :[

I like that you don't make them OP like Blizzard do at the start. You can still die easily, but it offers a unique way of playing the game!

I like it! It's very unique and well thought out, and he's my favorite member of the MEKA squad too, haha. I've actually been thinking of a drone-based healer concept myself, but I could never completely figure out how to make everything work and I think you nailed it. Just really well done overall.
This is a genius concept! Well thought out and constructed! It’s also unique because overwatch does an excellent job in incorporating new play styles that seem different from existing characters. With this design, he plays similar to that of a helicopter right out of cod or battlefield, which doesn’t yet exist in this game.
Flying would work so well with him cause he’s gonna be huge compared ta mercy

As someone who makes custom heroes a lot of the time in workshop I can say you can make characters.

now that ow2 is out I would make the drones seperate abilties get rid of the self heal since all supports have that and make his ult work like tentamissles sending healing and dmg rockets to enemies and allies spotted
Are you trying to combine Zenyatta Orbs with Pharah's ult in a Meka? If yes then he's the support that can counter the new tank Ramattra and heal the flying heroes Pharah Mercy & Echo

Btw my Master , I really admire your editing skills. It's simple and easy understandable. And often is kinda funny :). Your concepts are always totally thoughtful, like every of your concept hero has some op and interesting (usually new) functions, but still has some weaknesses. I think that you're playing Overwatch for sooo long time, aren't you? Maybe since when Overwatch was released. Anyway, I'm really looking forward to a new Overwatch video, mainly a new hero concept. Thanks! I try to use the visuals to help explain the hero and their abilities, but also to make the video a bit more fun to watch. And yes, I've been playing Overwatch since the open beta back in 2016 : )
I like the drone idea. I was thinking about something like that myself, but couldn't figure out how it would work in an actual character. It works with the mech!
Also since he flies constantly he will be easy to distinguish from dva

Getting to see this now 3 years later and looking at what ideas blizzard used in other hero's made me smile. we find out the next support in 15 days and I reallllllllly hope its this guy.

what i like the most about ow is how different gameplay is depending on the character you are using, so this concepts are right up my alley
Probably the hardest hero to play, but its good and balanced. Blizzard can just take this and put it in vid😂
Love it. One quality of life change would be to have the blank drone spots (which I assume to be on the screen inside the mech itself) have the character that drone went to along side their health. For example, if the first drone went to a McCree, his character select image would fill most of the square, his current health, armor, and shield would be presented below, and the drone's health would be shown on the outermost side by the picture. It may be information overload at first, but would give Overlord a good idea of where his team's health is and when to optimize switching and recalling.

I was thinking 300hp isn’t so bad considering what you said but a perma flight with 300 hp is a bit ridiculous because if it’s permanent flight his crit hit box is going to be extremely difficult to hit

Hey! Great concept idea, I do have a few ideas if you're up to hear me out.
For off, if he's in the Meka squad, don't you think he should be able to eject similar to dva? If the Meka dies, he should have a pistol similar to dva. It should have less rounds and a weak healing mechanic. If you need some idea to go with it, the Horzine Medic Pistol in Killing Floor 2 could be something he could use. There is an alternate fire which shoots needles that heal teammates. Healing and shooting brings back your Meka similar to dva.
Secondly, I don't know if you meant you wanted it "evade" to be like Dva's thrust, but I think it should. It would be much easier to control than using the keyboard and pressing that direction.
Otherwise, I think the concept is amazing! I'd love to try this hero and I think he would make a great addition to the support team.
In my opinion you should replace the healing drones with shield drones that give the assigned players more hitpoints instead of regeneration. (Considering that Overlord works with MEKA‘s, healing doesn’t seem to properly fit to be honest.)

OMG. I. LOVE. THIS! Also do you think you could do a concept video for some type of DPS hunter character that uses an animal? (like wow.) We havent seen any of the wildlife that lives in the overwatch universe, the only animals we know exist are birds, primates, hamsters, dogs and the few animals we see in sprays like rabbits, cats etc. Correct me if theres more. Ive seen the concept art for "khutulun the eagle hunter" which is amazing but id love to see your take on it!
