  • Help my freezer is not running is a service call I ran for a customer that was about to open for the summer season but the freezer would not run. I find a replace the bad components and return the system to service. I remember you said once that watching everyone else's videos; you feel like they're always working on newer stuff, or replacing, whereas you're always trying to revive the dead. I agree. I've never seen anything like whatever halfway attempted leak repair that was on that cap. That along with the missing Schrader, and the 16 year old defrost clock... I swear.... You come across some of the most horrendous crap! But I must admit.... you are always able to strike a great balance between repairing what can be, and insisting on replacement when thats what REALLY needs to happen. And your experience gives you some next level McGuyver type skills. I love how you're able to creatively engineer and fabricate whatever is needed. Many people have learned alot from your videos; keep 'em comin'.

nice video, yes it looks like maybe that valve had been overheated, I am surprised it hadnt leaked before now. I was like you I hated call backs, usually call backs were freebees unless it was something that happened, I had nothing to do with even then it was hard to justify charging the customer for a call back unless it was something major. You are a great trouble shooter.

I carry a can of rust reformer paint with me and whenever I see paint has faded and rust started to take hold I wipe the piece down and spray it... Not too much work and can is only 4 or 5 bucks US so not a big deal financially.. And it may benefit you if you get called back one day and you're having to remove a rusted out piece that won't budge.. Or getting your tools all full of rust when you're working.
