So what happened to Caufield in a bigger game vs Latvia... 2 goals 2 assists, like I said. It's what you do in more important games not easy wins games.
On a big ice surface he can avoid body contacts. Rule of law ... Not more than 2 or 3 shrimps i[ under 5-11 } n the top 12 forwards.
Habs are going to pick Sennecke, he fits the bill of the late riser, big, fast and hard worker
Not at 5 ! If they do so, they have to trade down. He's gonna be available around 10th overall pretty darn sure
Probably more at 15-20. He's very raw, much farther to the NHL that you think! He's got a cool ceiling but very low floor because he's like 6"3 and 170 so very very lanky because of his recent growth
Character issues according to ohl coaches. Was written in Scott Wheeler’s article. Won’t happen.
He also have golden hands, the dangles this guy can pull of is insane, remind me a bit of Datsyuk or Kovalev at time.
ESPN has Sennecke at 14, Bob McKenzie has him at 19. There is no need to waste the 5th pick on Sennecke.
Take the best player available at 5, regardless of position, and then use your assets to trade back into the top 10-15 to take someone else. Be it Sennecke, Catton, Eiserman.
Chicago is either going to take Demidov or Levshunov, Anaheim likely whichever one Chicago doesn't take. If Columbus then takes Lindstrom, then I have no issues taking Silayev. Yes, a LD, but the dude is only 18, and is already 6'7" and goes 211. Both of those numbers will likely go up the next couple of years. Would love to have that monster on the blue line. Hutson, Silayev and Xhekaj down the left side? Yes please. Silayev/Reinbacher then Xhekaj/Mailloux would be 2 bruising pairings to have to play against.
Obviously if Lindstrom is still there at 5, then no brainer you take him, but if not, I have no problem with another LD
They will do what is needed to do. No doubt. They are are solid organisation now.
Iginla looks like the kind of player who will excel in playoffs. His father was a legend in Calgary. The Habs missed out on Brady Tkachuk when they opted for Kotkaniemi instead of Matthew Tkachuk's younger brother.
they are cousins not brothers
If the Canadians want to guarantee Demidov or Lindstrom they would have to trade picks with the Ducks. I doubt it would be cheap.
I think youd have to trade with chi for demidov. People would be retarded to pick someone over him
I honestly just take Levshunov if he drops to 5. He’s a number 1, 6’3, 200+ pound right shot d man. We’re talking a potential Norris candidate. Just take him.
Levshunov will be gone at 5. Chicago will draft him or Demidov, and if they took Demidov Anaheim will draft him.
No way Levshunov will be there at 5, he will go 2nd or 3rd overall. But if he slips somehow, you have to take him at 5.
I agree, you take Levshunov if he's there at 5, two straight years of taking the best RHD in the draft is a win no matter what your roster needs are lol. Or even move down to get assets and grab a forward they like maybe.
He won't be there at 5. If Chicago doesn't take him, Anaheim will. Ditto for Demidov. Basically him and Demidov are going 2, 3, just the order has yet to be determined.
The habs have enough defense... if he is available the habs need to trade him... it will be celibrini, demidov and lidstrom by order....
It has to be Lindstrom. If they pass on him if he's available at 5, this is straight up passing on Brady Tkachuk again & again. It would be a mistake. He's the best powerforward of the draft, big, fast, good shot, a pest, a playoff player and apparently a good teammate off ice.
I really think Lindstrom will be available at 5, IMO, it might well be 1-Celebrini 2-Demidov 3-Levshunov....then at 4, i have a feeling its gonna be a dman top line potential, on the left side to play alongside Jiricek long term. And that player, IMO could be one of the three player between Buium, Dickinson and Silayev. That leaves Lindstrom to the Habs.
Lindstrom looks great, but he has bad back issues. Look at how much time Gabe Vilardi missed due to back problems. The Habs need to do a thorough health analysis before drafting Lindstrom.
You don’t think that CBJ will take Lindstrom so he can play with Fantilli?
@@LethalTobinator that's a high possibility as well !
If Lindstrom and Demigod are gone, I would 100% go with Sennecke.
The top 3 players to go will be forward. If Lindstrom is gone or Demidov is gone, Montreal should pick either Sennecke, Iginla, or Yamachuck
If Demidov/Lindstrom are gone...I see Iginla or Sennecke more likely than a trade.
They will use the WPG pick or extra D to trade for a forward.
if the Habs want to secure either Demidov or Lindstrom they will need to trade up i suspect, but Tij at 5th is still a very good fit for the habs
If Demidov and Lindstrom are gone when the Habs have to pick, IMO the Habs will trade [ that pick + a defenseman ] for a top 6 forward. Hopefully with scoring and grit... a mean s.o.b. Something the Habs lack in the TOP six.... Slav is huge but soft ... he avoids hitting people , He plays small.
@@FooFahFoeFumnope. Slaf hits and has a mean streak.
@@komirules SLAV HAS 1/2 THE HITS OF BRADY TKUCHUCK. SLAV IS BIG BUT WOULD NOT HURT A FLY. ... HE NEED STO USE HIS BODY MORE LIKE BRADY.
If they lose Lindstrom at 5 they’ll probably trade down and take Senneke or Catton or someone else.
As A Representative of the Columbus Blue Jackets I would Again Like to Offer the Habs Kent Johnson and Adam Boqvist (Laine if you can Afford)for Your 5th Pick and Your Winnipeg 1st Pick!! Its a Win Win for EveryBody!!
I think they would prefer Lindstrom 100%. He’s the kind of guy they would love. But man he will not be there at 5. He’s definitely going 3 or 4. They will need to work out that deal with Columbus. If they can’t make that happen and they stay at 5 I honestly believe they trade down and draft Sennecke. From what I hear he is like one of if not their main guys. And after looking at his highlights I see why. Dude is big, long and has a skill set that will translate nicely to the NHL. People might be sleeping on him.
Lindstrom, iginla or demidov all would work for montreal , another move I would like to see entertained is offering san jose either reinbacher and a sweetener or the 5th overall pick for will smith .
I would take Catton.
Moving up will cost and we have lotsa' D and trading Roy is a loss so trade Matheson and keep Savard as our veteran. but a large forward seems likely. We have Suzuki at 210 lbs, Dach, Slav, and Armia on our fourth line. Priority is not size. A play driver like Catton would add more to the TEAM concept and a need for variety. Catton has it all and needs weight which is simple to solve. Catton pound for pound is the best forward in the draft and the play driver will add more to the TEAM. Size is easy to find but a solid play driver will win hockey games. Lafleur, Richard, etc were all under 6ft but were Giants and were play drivers. We cant pass up on this opportunity. Pick Catton! We have 12d, 2 picks for next year and need 2 offense the rest is strategy.
Necas and the 27th for the 5th?
Y’all acting like cbj would take any trade
Habs don't need another "D".....if Lindstrom is likely to be available.....take him.
If not.....trade the pick for a bonefide winger.
lindstrom would be a horrible backfire. shut up already.
I’m sure it’s just bluffing because Columbus really need a defenceman I’m sure they’ll either gonna pick Buium or Parekh
Columbus already has Jiricek(RD), Mateychuk(LD), Szovil(LD), Ceulemans(RD), Knazko(LD) and Bjork(RD) as Defensive Prospects so I have no clue what you're talking about!! And if we did go defense again It would be Levshunov or Silayev!!
Demidov or lidstrom !
Habs need to trade up to 2 or 3 . 4 is not even worth the bother ,they could be gone at 4. So its Lidstrom or Demidov or the drafts a bust for us. Than i would actually try to Sharks or hawks for their pic in 2025.
Go for semekee
Take inginla if they not available
Draft another d then trade one or trade the pick. Either way it's a trade.
Everyone knows Lindstrom will be off the board when they pick, I wonder if this is Montreal trying to generate trade interest through the media.
hughes is looking for a 3rd pair defencement to go with the 2nd par defencemen he drafted last year 😂
if he can't find one he trades the pick lol
yes... we want to bulk up in front so we trade our 5th for clayton keller.... is this guy for real?.... If lindstrom is taken, we have demidov. If demidov is taken, we have lindstrom either is good for me
5th wpg 1st Savard Harris Anderson to LA for Byfield. HABS WIN CUP 2026!!
If all the forwards go in the first four picks that means the best defenceman is available at Montreal’s pick a team would pay a high price to steal that pick and Montreal drops down would be a slew of forwards that are in the same tier iginla sennecke catton etc. if demidov and lindstrom are gone you have to trade down
The forwards wont all go in the first 4 picks. The dmen available this year are too good for that to happen.
@@francischabot1412I doubt even 3 forwards go top 4.
Suzuki isn’t 7 years older lol! He’s not 25. Let’s try 23 :)
Trade back for Catton
Hughes always bluff anyway! Iginla is the way my man
Just take Iginla
Catton's too small 😏 ... out of the question. If both Demidov & Lindstrom are unavailable, the Habs should simply pick the best player available, whether it's a D or not ... I would suggest Levshunov. More quality draft capital won't hurt in the least. Kent Hughes can simply wheel 'n deal for a stand out top 6 forward. He's so good at it !
If george laraque says something you know its not happening
Iginla
Non on trade pas Roy désolé.
Id take Senecke over Lindstrom! He has a way higher skill set! He had a slow start due to the major growth spurt and he's still got a lot of filling out to do. Lindstrom bulled his way through boys to be successful, it wont be that easy in the NHL. Once Senecke fills out he'll have elite skill and the physical attributes to tear up the playoffs! Plus Senecke wasn't playing with Gavin McKenna
Sennecke has a MUCH lower floor, dude is 6"3 170lbs... Lindstrom has already proved he's a man, just like Slaf and Reinbacher! There's a pattern there and Hughes won't select a dude that might or might not translate his 1 on 4 skills in the NHL in like 4 years when he's done bulking in a god damn TOP 5
Lindstrom is always injure i prefere senneke
Only two player are good demidov and senneke
lindstrom is a horrible pick who ever gets him will regret it.
Trading Cayden Lindstrom away sounds dumb.
I would call Florida and give them every pick Montreal has in 2024 for Barkov
There's no trade plan. Mtl wont trade the pick.
Ken Hughes making horrible mistake after mistakes.
We dont even have no 1 elite center nor wingers.
We need a new GM.
lol. that is the best one I have heard
soooooo.... what exactly has Kent Hughes done/not done that has you so upset? Genuinely asking, most fans in the city and around the league seem to believe he's doing just fine.
Hughes has been the GM for over two years and no Stanley Cup?
Fire that man!!!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol nice troll
@@alexmouton1010I can answer that for him, best offensive draft of the decade he did nothing to help the team tank in fact got a 5th rather then top 3 Chicago knows how to properly rebuild he messed that up and then he drafted a DEF ranked 20th in the most offensive draft of the decade with his 5th pick
Finds himself again in the SAME situation this year, it started off great with slaf then after that it was like he gave up the rebuild n turned into a reset like we been having for the past 2 decades and why habs never have any superstars up front
Habs take eiserman
If demidov and lindstrom ain't available I'd do that
@@alphamale4182 I want eiserman for the flyers
