If it is 4 stroke, it will probably say on the cover. Check to see if there is an oil reservoir or ecu. Sounds like it is probably a 2 stroke though.

@@geraldmicallef6575 try eBay first as that’s usually a good place for outdated outboards. I doubt we can get new parts for Tomas 4-8’s anymore?

You need water to cool the exhaust 😀😀 if you need any help with fixing it you can ask my i,ve been working on them for alot of years i know every part 🙃🙃👨‍🔧👨‍🔧

Hey there! That's really good to know thanks! I am only just getting into outboard engines and so it's really helpful to share your knowledge. I understand these outboards were made in Yugoslavia and there aren't any parts available anymore?

@@skipperstan there are but in like country's like croatia bosnia serbia and slovenia, most parts come from slovania i am from croatia and it is relly easy to find parts here i can buy new parts or used one for cheap 😀😀

Hi there,
I use this Tomos 4hp engine as well, and I wonder if you know what that port next to the fuel-intake on de engine is for?
There is a round port with a plastic cap over it, and I can't find any information about it on the internet.
You can see a glimps of it on 2:00 in the video. It's the black plastic cap on the right on the screen.
