My son and I are going to do a channel binge on the weekend and watch all your VZ Vy Commodore videos So simple. Thanks.
Oh mad enjoy ill be trying to finish off the 5 derby cars im building ready for next weekend 👍
One of your previous vids really helped me out. You’re a total pro.
Cheers mate not a pro but try and help others out
I did my Camry front struts 2 weeks ago with the old school clamp ( scary). I have to do the rear and have been putting it off until I saw your video. That new clamp is such an improvement. I'm getting one! Thanks for the video. It was excellent.
Yeah mate definitely worth the money get a set you wont look back
Good video mate straight to the point and informative
Thanks buddy 👍
Another fantastic guide Byron
Thanks mate
Great video & straight textbook way of taking the struts out.
Thanks mate
Yeah its pretty straight forward but whelming if you've never done it before it should help someone out
Hows your projects going?
@@downtheshedwithbyron I was changing the console over with a better one but my driveway is on an angle. As doon as I put it into neutral, it rolled back into the garage denting the door & cracking my driver side bumperette. I'm on the hunt for one at the moment. I had the handbrake on but it still rolled back, so that's another job for this weekend coming.
Excellent informative video. Thanks
No dramas mate hope it helps 👍
This a fantastic little channel matey..so glad I found it.
Your videos are a good length with great tips & video how to, without all the fluff & umpteen sponsors.
I reckon the VY was the best of the commodores built, before Holden started to cheap out on quality thanks to GM Detroit.
Thanks again Byron, top job.
Gday Matt
Thanks heaps mate 👍
wicked video mate, you make every thing look easy buddy
Cheers mate
With the right tools and info its smooth
I tried to see but I couldn't. You mentioned the "Concave" washer differently on each side. Maybe they were the same but I couldn't see. If you look at the assembly on the video you might see what I mean. Anyway mate, that's my 2 bobs worth. Cheers, thanks for the Video.
All good mate
i have both of them cone up like a bowl i hope you understand haha
I did notice it too. When the lower bowl concave washer came out, it was facing down towards the bump stop. When you reinstalled it, the washer was put in upwards towards the bottom of the strut mount like a bowl holding the strut. That could cause damage to the lower part of the strut mount.
Forgot to say, great video nonetheless 👍
@@D-Max_macca85 oh bugger i might of stuffed up
Cheers for that
Bottom washer is bowl down top washer is bowl up
Hi mate should you tighten the top strut mount plate nut once the wheels are on the ground?
Gday mate
Thats a mint question im not sure if it matters but now youve said that i think it would be a great idea
Other cars ive done i haven't had a drama
Ill ask my mates at pedders suspension and see what they do
Take it easy mate Byron 👍
if i don't have multigrips, can in use vice grips or my teeth if i have any?
Well id love to see the video of using your teeth to under the brake line haha
