Go to any pigeon auction or swap & sell and you are bound to find Tipplers. One of the most common pigeon breeds in the Northeast.
But there is something special about Stan's Tipplers. These aren't your ordinary birds. These birds are flying machines bred for competitive endurance flying!
Check out the video to learn more about them.

Thanks for putting this together. My Dad really enjoys his birds!
He sure does and we really enjoy seeing him at the pigeons shows and functions 🕊
I love Gordon Hughes, Canadians,Lovatts, maccafield's and Weichecks...
Stan is a wonderful tippler man, and a fancier of great knowledge about Tipplers and many, many different fanciers. He has been a long and good friend of mine for many years, and we still speak on a regular basis today. For those looking to get some great stock to compete with, well then Stan is the man ! He will as he said help anyone that is wanting to gain knowledge in this sport, ands will always be there for you. Great video guys, and some great shots of nice birds, all well kept i may add.
I totally agree! Thank you for the comment. 🕊 🕊 🕊
I always liked my Tipplers … all were some sort of mostly white grizzle’s … I had about six+ birds back in 1964-65 … I lived in Southern California Cerritos area… I really had to watch them … you had to turn them loose at daylight after a slight breakfast … you learned to read the high clouds ☁️ if any… if the clouds were moving super fast you didn’t fly … mine would fly so high and long you needed a pair of binoculars to watch them … so being in high school I opted to breed and fly the Bill Pensome line of Birmingham rollers … I knew and was a friend of William Bill Pensome … he knew I liked white rollers and he’d let me have many of his birds cheap … I’d mix a small portion of this ground up molasses to my pigeon feed…
Bill Pensome had this one strain of red checkered silver flight feather rollers that liked to fly super high …
They must of had some Tipper in their gene pool … they flew too high and long for my bird’s …
I still hold a place in my heart for Tipplers 🐦…
My loft was 30’ in length and in three sections … with a wired front they could sun bathe in … I had a section up on top of my Kit birds that I could pull a pin and rope down the front door … out they’d go..
I used to walk over to the high school bus stop in the morning and watch my rollers … from three short blocks away …
Thanks for sharing! I hope you are still keeping pigeons. God bless 🕊 🕊 🕊
I got to meet Stan at his loft today. He’s a great guy with a lot of knowledge. I wish I could have stayed longer to keep picking his brain. He has a beautiful clean loft with healthy birds. Thanks for this interview.

Hey Shiv, Thanks for this video and you are getting good at these interviews, asking right question. Thanks to Stan for giving the interview and sharing the 50+ years of experience.
Thank you for the comment! Do you keep pigeons? 🕊🕊🕊
@@NE_Pigeons Yes, I have Indian high flying tumblers here in Bangalore, India
Pigeons are what I like to call the “Poor Man’s Parrot” and the Great thing is they work for Peanuts.
Interesting perspective. I used to have a parrot but I replaced it with pigeons lol.

@@NE_PigeonsI need help! I’m raising pigeons, but they aren’t racers. They recently hatched two squabs and they are neglecting the smaller one. They were a week old yesterday, and the little one is half the size of the big one. I don’t want the baby to die, and am willing to hand feed. Any suggestions? The little one has a completely empty crop but they are sitting on them both.
Nice birds
Thank you
Great!
Thanks!
Great base informations for everybody who want to make an ideea about tippler sport.
Congratulations Stan and congratulations to whoever came up with the idea and created this video
Thank you 🕊🕊🕊
Thank you awsome info for those beginners..
Yes sir! Thanks. When I get some birds again looking to share more of my training process and etc.

Thank you 🕊🕊🕊
Wow i was a kid back then in 70s this is great!
Glad you enjoyed it 🕊 🕊🕊
U welcome I was in the a.t.u. tippler club here in the Bronx but I like flying my birds so sometimes it was a challenge to have show type of pigeon flying in pens many times they want condition of the bridge to be fat 😭 like a chicken 🐔 so I kept on breeding the pigeon the way I liked the I appreciate all the very important knowledge you share in this video keep up the good work peace and to you sir !
Outstanding 💪😎
Thank you. Hope you having a good season.
Hey.. Finally
Worked on it immediately after I got back! Fastest video iv released lol 😆
Nice video.
Thank you
@@NE_Pigeons You are welcome I am from Baltimore, Stan helped us with some great information and birds in 1999 - 2000. We accomplished the great flying times, many fanciers recorded their best times with the literature. Thanks for the interview.
Nice
Thank you brother 🕊
Nice video bro i keep Pakistani highflyers and tipplers in the uk tipplers are best birds they fly in any weather and will compete with each other who will land first its old family hobby
Wow that’s great! Do you still have any birds?
@@NE_Pigeons yes my dad has kept them since he came England like 40 years ago he kept tumblers and racers then got eggs in suitcase and hatched Pakistani highflyers
Lets see the birds in the air.
Will try for a follow up and see that. Stay tuned 🕊️
Great video i've never kept tipplers but i did used to keep Birmingham rollers and a small kit of 8 west of England tumblers sadly i developed an allergy so i had to give them up
Oh wow. Was is the dander from the pigeons giving you allergies? If you have a loft with good ventilation it helps a lot. Also giving the birds frequent baths. Hope you can get back into.
@@NE_Pigeons it was a dust allergy i also kept owls and other birds of prey also i dabbled in british birds since then though the allergy seems under control so i am hopeing i can keep tumblers once again and maybe some tipplers
Great video waiting for your videos we learn lots knowledge from these videos
Thanks for making great videos
Ask them about feed like how many spoons per bird and how many time feed per day
Thank you! When I get birds again I can't wait to teach and show you all more about them with my techniques and practices.
I appreciate the interview and the nice video. I wish you and Stan would have touched on the topics about Tipplers having caps and the ATU changing over to a show club verse flying club.
I believe Stan was a member of the ATU at one point. As far as caps goes he strongly disagrees. He believes it was bred into the birds and that Tipplers don't have caps.
In my country tipplers do not have caps no proper pure tipplers anyway 👍👌🏴🇬🇧
Ramro😁
Thanks mutu!
How long should you leave new birds in the loft before they’ll come back into the coop and not fly away?
Nice 😢😢
Hope you are doing well buddy 👍
If the hawk wasn't a big problem i still would have my tipplers
Just gotta breed hard. Loses are to be expected in the hobby 🕊️
Can you post one of those videos that has the annual auctions, I would like to attend one or two esp in jersey or Pa
I have the annual PA auction one posted. Look for the Lancaster pigeon association show one.

Thank you bro!
Hello nice video, I have some diving highflyers and I use black-white short face droppers to call them down, can I have your opinion about the colour of the dropper pigeons, for example it would be better if I used white ones, my loft is located among tall trees , thanks alot!
White seems to stick out more. When I see white birds up in the air looks like it shimmers and sparkles. Perhaps it's the same from above looking down? But then again I'm not 100% what the vision of a pigeon sees. They see colors differently from us.
@NE_Pigeons thanks alot for the reply I believe that our hobby is an endless book , keep up the good work!!
Do you use the killer little in the whole coupe
Just where the birds are 👍
What does this mean
Fling pigion is an event but traning and behaviour is unknown to us.
Yes you are right. Lots of theories out there but that's it. Thanks for watching. 🕊 🕊 🕊
