spongebob is nearly 30 years old, making it around 1/2 of their lives. it must be so amazing to find a character that you can truly grow to identify with. hearing how tom has no interest in ever retiring is so wholesome, he loves what he does and ultimately who he is. these two bring me such happiness.

I had the pleasure of meeting Tom Kenny when I was about 9 - by far one of the kindest humans I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting! When I told him I wanted to be a dentist he broke out into song, and sang an entire story about me becoming a dentist. I will never forget it!

@@kyles9937 Like, season 10, 11, and 12. I find those one interesting, only because of the facial expressions, coloring, and creativity. I find their story and plots kinda boring sometimes, but not all the time. Take "Spongebob In Randomland" for example, sometimes, Modern Spongebob is not that bad, well, for me sometimes I guess.

The old Spongebob actually seems a bit witty, and if anything was more creative than the new stuff. Like how they actually used to say nautical or fish related things like, "Aw, Tartar Sauce!" "Fish Paste!" or "Hopping Clams!" Instead of just "Oh Shrimp!" You also notice things that went over your head as a kid like more adult jokes or just small little details as opposed to just butts and over the top facial expressions.

yeah, i grew up watching spongebob and am one of the biggest spongebob fans you will ever meet!!! to me, they mean a whole ton bc that show gave me some of the opinions that I have now today. It inspires me to be myself and gave some of the best memories of my life. I still watch the newer episodes of spongebob even though most people hate them, but i love every single one of them bc I know that kids nowadays will be able to go through the same thing i did and get to experience this miracle that I loved and still love to this day. idc what other people say about spongebob and the show nowadays and the projects they are doing bc what I feel about this show and my love for it can never be broken down by anyone. As much as I despise Nick for milking the Spongebob cow dry with spin-offs, I'm glad that Tom and Bill are still working together 20 years plus.
I dont mind if these new spinoffs give something new and fun stories, afterall steve did change his views on spinoffs before he died and he trusts the team working on spongebob to do whats right. They even said in a recent interview that they always try their hardest to respect what steve created and they are grateful for him.

Ive been watching SpongeBob basically my whole life and I just graduated college last week. it kinda just hit me how important these dudes were in my life
I watched SpongeBob when my age was. Single digit, I’ve been out of university for eight years.
It came out 3 years before i was born ( 2002 ) and it has bee my favorite show my whole life. I had a spongebob birthday party at 7 years old, and my daughter loves spongebob i cant wait to plan her a Spongebob birthday party too !
That show was the literal definition of my childhood.
I've never cried when an actor has passed. I will 100% be crying when one of these legends leave the earth.

The oldest one is currently Rodger Bumpass (at 69) .Mary Jo Catlett (voice of Mrs. Puff) would've been on #1 at 82 years old, but she retired a while ago. Both Tim Conway and Ernest Borgnine had passed away, so yeah, Bill is old but Rodger is even older

I think it helps that voice acting is kind of an underappreciated/under-recognized role. If you have a big ego you'd probably rather be an actor and have your face on the billboards instead of just your voice, so you tend to have less like arrogant voice actors.

Tom Kenny just has such a unique voice on it's own. This man was truly destined to e a voice actor. Sure, he puts on voices for Ice King or Spongebob, but his normal voice on his own is just really awesome!
He also voices a man character on Netflix’s hit original which just released season 3 paradise pd he voices the chief
