- In this video, I visited Giai Sơn market which is located in Phú Yên, a small beautiful seaside province in Vietnam. People say this is the cheapest market in Vietnam. And it actually is. With only $2 I could buy 7 different dishes. The food was not only cheap but also good at the same time.
Aside from food, I also experienced singing karaoke with locals in the market

Great video, but please be mindful that even local Vietnamese quickly learned that cheap food doesn't mean safe food, as contaminations and food poisoning happen ALOT in Commie Vietnam. Recently 300 people got hospitalized for food poisoning even in tourist destination Hoi An due to consuming contaminated Banh Mi. All true. Do your research!
This incident was big news, but it was taken seriously as well. Last time I went to Hoi An (January, 2024), the place wasn’t operating anymore. Generally, no matter where you are planning to eat, be that a big restaurant or a small vendor, you should always check your food and trust your eyes, taste buds or even your gut to avoid food poisoning😞
