He is right almost in generations after boosting for 20 seconds straight sonic slows down a bit and this also happens when you leave a rail while boosting

Looks cool, but the lighting textures are a tad too dark. I like the night time Aesthetic but maybe a bit more light would either from street lights or moonlight in the animation might bring out things that were lost in darkness
