As a short guy (172CM), I have learned that no matter how good-looking or successful you are, the vast majority of girls will simply reject you.
But also I have learned even as a short guy if you create some status, things will completely change.
A simple example is just learning to dance and when you go to a nightclub and dance very well, you will see how girls will notice you and you will be the top different
guy while many other tall guys are simply invisible in their eyes.

I'm a 158cm 28 year old male and was born with a visible face birthmark - instant negative points on the surface. Online dating apps never work for me because my appearance will be instantly rejected by most girls. However, I don't care anymore because I've learned to embrace what I cannot control and no longer blame myself for factors I was born with since that's not the right healthy mindset to succeed. I think anything to do with improving looks, wealth, power or status can help significantly. I was the guy who rarely got girls when I was younger until I joined a band. Game changer! Instantly went from being lucky to get a date with an average girl to having models and dancers competing for me. And they were the ones approaching me. Even girls that had recently told me to get lost wanted to date me. They even paid for the dates. I ended up marrying a model. (this was back in the 80's). But point is that it doesn't take much to change your results as long as you are willing to improve your positioning.

I used to be in denial that 'handsome privilege' wasn't a real concept and that it was all about money, status, and game but I was dead wrong.

I think the difference that matters between the regular guy and the "special" guy that you speak of, isnt really looks, or money, it's simply confidence. Being handsome/having decent loving parents/being rich isn't what attracts girls. It's the product of these things that attracts girls - confidence. That's why you see those bum like guys having girlfriends. Perhaps they didn't need money or a job to feel good about themselves and be confident - sometimes good parenting, or some kind of life event is enough to make you super confident in adulthood. I've had to mainly teach myself everything I learned, because the reason the doctors told my mother I would fail is that I am 90% deaf, from birth.
