Absolutely fantastic explanation and visualization about what’s happening! Thank you 🙏🏻
An epic encounter of two greats!! Thank you very much for sharing.👏👏
I did not expect this very motivating interview to continue with personal work
This was brilliant. What an erudite and interesting artist. Thankyou both.

Awesome video, Love to see more
This was so insightful, Thank you both of you!
Happy to hear you thought so
It was great to listen to Cornelius describe their process. It's great to see how they work through their newer stuff, and see how much it's changed over the years, since I bought some of their old example project/tutorials video series.

OMG thx for the stream! thx J! Дякую!
Im so glad you are back! I miss you
🙏
I've been searching for this artist for a while now, couldn't remember who it was that made that cool artwork when I started using 3D few years ago. Thank you!
god this was so insightful...feel like i learned a thousand things.
more pixel peep J. c'mon!
Happy to hear! I’m gonna try. Would love to make it a more regular thing
Cornelius is amazing. As an artist but also as a person, he took time last year to answer to a lot of questions regarding CGI and workflow for my bachelor thesis and I have been able to understand many things thanks to his answers.
Thanks Cornelius!
Couldn't agree more
Amazing Conference 🤩
Amazing talk...totally going to try that dust trick in houdini
I would call it more surreal than hyper real. I think that last little fidelity he’s looking for is probably hyper real
so inspiring !
Now this is an amazing surprise!
Thank you! Really informative interview. I really like chromatic aberration in K cycles X and post effects there are also quite good.
7:50 That goldfish analogy was actually gold.
Hey man really really love these type videos ( got this one on my watch later ) since you seem to be learning a lot you ask the questions we all want answers too! Curious if you have been exploring any ai art tools like stable diffusion and figuring out how to integrate theme into 3d? been very useful in creating textures but would love to discover more use cases.
An hour and a half of goodness? Hell yea!
It's great, it's cool that NFT gives you the opportunity to be creative. I hope it will be in the future as well.
super cool
For sick tires, did anyone out there mentioned cyanide227?
You're doing a podcast!? Dude yes well done ❤
Thanks. Not really, if I could do one a week or month that would be tight but takes a while. Cheers
@@artofjhill yeah carving out time can be tough I know the feeling all too well!
This is amazing.
🙂
AWEEESOME!!!!!
Big fan here > Cornelius Dammrich sehr geile Artworks, you rock ;) Grüße ^^
STAY is one of my favorite movies lol
Borges it's a great Argentinian author, Nice work guys. I enjoyed a lot this meeting
Hey J, I hope u make a video soon about the rise of AI and how it will affect 3d artist. Im a student learning 3D and im ambivalent about career choice as i ve seen recent development of AI. Thank you so much
Trust me guys Cinema 4D is underrated software. You can make everything not just motion graphic . Keep up maxon 💪
Teethgrinding artist
I missed you soo much🥺
❤️
Wake up honey, J Hill uploaded a new video!!!
Nice interview. Judging by the time spent discussing each topic, dust is much more valuable than NFTs.
Dust is king
That intro though 🤌✨
🙏
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
Hell yeah that's Floyd 8 in the bomb. The only old guy in Daz.
Haha
as a noob i understood about 40% of that but loved 100%. thanks for doing these videos. that was awesome.
Glad you liked it
@@artofjhill please keep them coming i’ve learnt so much from your channel. i really appreciate what you do.
Totally agree, however, I think you need to consider where you want to do your effects, is it in the actual material of the 3D object or is it a combination of material and post-production in Photoshop? or is it a purist thought process where it is all done in the 3D software? Great interview, totally loved this and his work!! Thank you for doing this!!
Glad you liked it!
cool add podcast
Awesome talk sir. Is there a podcast coming?
Glad you liked it. Maybe this is a podcast idk
@@artofjhill Yah, maybe. IDK either. A really interesting aspect was the live dissecting of source files. It feels way more valuable to me than just talking about final art or styles or techniques or whatever. Probably even more valuable than a breakdown or possibly a tutorial. I think maybe b/c there's a teacher/student thing going on? Anyhow... We've all had that how the f@$k did they do that moment, so yeah... having a dialog over source files and hearing more about the process was really interesting. A lot stuff I've learned along the way has come from looking at source files of artists I've worked with, so this one really hit home. :)
Hey J, really enjoy your vids and your insights and pixel passions. I’m actually a recording artist, been in the industry since 2005, but lately in between writing, recording for my project, and on the road performing, I’ve been writing ideas down for a game. Now i know you’ve heard this a million times, but I do have an incredible idea, but I need a concept artist, and script, and video game adaption writers to take it from ideas to real. If you’re interested in hearing my idea, please let me know. Thanks, and thanks for all your work, and for your time.
Appreciate you dude! Thanks for watching and glad you liked it but don’t have any bandwidth for more projects rn. I’ve got my own dreams too. Might be able to find people ready to work on stuff like that on upwork or could look to hire people from artstation. Good luck!
@@artofjhill I can dig it, preciate'cha for replying! Good Luck to you as well.
Whaaaat?? That was unexpected :o
There is Arnold for cinema4d and its almost as simple as octane.
Who is the artist they were talking about at 3:38? The subs said Merrick Danko but I don’t think that’s it.
marek denko
Jill who are the guys you mention in the video?
Who is the artist that did the hyper realistic porche, the tire artist.
Colorsponge
@@artofjhill Great chanel man. Iv been using Zbrush for clouple of months and i dont know how to get into rendering. Its alot of program. Can you please do a video about this topic? What is the best program suitable for rendering in combination with zbrush. Im more into hardsurface. I hope i can show u some models soon 😁🙏. You are a great inspiration
Please bring Ian hubert!
Yea that’d be tight. I’ll message him
My philosophy is that if you want to get better you should keep surrounding yourself with people who are better than you. Over the years as an artist that list has gotten shorter and shorter. JHill is on that list and i suppose Cornelius is on J's. In a world filled with incredible artists it is very easy to get discouraged or develop imposter syndrome, but push back against that impulse. Because when you're surrounded by the best in class, a passing grade is an accolade, not a demerit.
My problem is I want to do it all 😆 I Wana make scenes/environments, I Wana make characters, I Wana do animation, I want to design characters for 3D printing, and then I want to paint them too 🙃 hard to do it all and do it all well,
How I do I pay or support Pixel Peeping? The name, the intro, and the interview is super dope.
Thank you! Best way is to become a member of this channel or just enjoy as you wish. Cheers
😑😑😑😑😑😑
"He made 3d studio max look good" 3d studio max DOES look good. So many top end VFX shots are still done in MAX and rendered in V-Ray. All of the coolest shots in Mandalorian for instance. ILM generalist dept, double negative and pixomondo all still use it.
чё за бред? По моему это просто реализм, и то не совсем. Зачем вводить в заблуждение?
