Lane mentioned that she knows lying and pretending to be someone he’s not is a lot and that it’s hard to be in her life yet he chose to stay because he loved her. They had similar interests and worked well together. He finally came clean to her mom since he knows she’s important to her even though they don’t get along, put on a suit went to her mothers house and recited a whole speech not only telling the truth about him but expressing his love for her daughter knowing that she would probably say no because he loved lane that much. He even read the whole Bible in one night just to be able to take lane on a date and be with her. THATS HARD! But it showed his dedication to her. He loved land and land loved him. They were healthy and they were a great couple.
Dave was PERFECT, I get that the actor left for another show, but I wish Lane had gotten another love interest to rival him. Honestly everything about Lane, she was so shafted in the story.

Riiiiighht. Her and Zach make absolutely no sense. She went from cute smart Dave to not attractive dumb Zach. Who if he was super nice or something it would be ok that he’s not that good looking and he’s dumb. But he’s not super nice. He’s pretty insensitive. Overall just a complete downgrade. I really wish they just got a new band mate that was right for lane.
