- Hello everyone! This week I sang Little Miss Perfect by Joriah Kwame (but is also super popular in The Owl House fandom)!
Everyone and their mother has been requesting this song nonstop and I totally get why! It’s such a cute song and I had such a great time singing it. It ended up being a great practice in self-restraint. In a lot of my covers (and real life for that matter), I typically go really big and bold. This cover is a lil’ timid and a lil’ goofy, as the discovery of who you are usually is.

I cry to much after listening to this song as a "straight" girl. I really relate to this song because when I was younger and first figured out I liked girls I tried to deny it because I was always the "golden child". It was drilled into me that I had to have a crush on a boy, I had to want a boyfriend and that one day in the future I would have a husband. So that's what I told myself. After all I had to be the "perfect child" I couldn't disappoint anyone because they had such high expectations. Even though I know that I'll be accepted I still felt that people would judge me or love me less. I still struggle with the shackles of comp het and internalized homophobia even after I came out. If anything its getting worse :( but I have hope for the future and I am working towards accepting myself and stop trying to convince myself that I am something I am not😊

@@May-ob8oq a couple weeks after I posted this I got another bird( they are both doves) From a breeder who didn't want the female because she never wanted to mate. Long story short now my 2 doves have built a nest together and protect their eggs. They are the happiest lesbian doves I have ever seen.(vet said it was okay,I do know the dangers of birds laying eggs and give my birds extra vitamins and such to make sure they're healthy and happy :) )
