This is exactly how I'm feeling, myself and band mates frustrated with my playing. Been feeling stale, took a break for a while, came back to the kit with fresh heads and new cymbals and now feeling more inspired to practice more heavily. Wanting to start lessons but a little indecisive about the online aspect
Love these videos and my kick drum still got that maximum thumpification!

Ah, love the fact that there’s actually someone out there older than me (check out 68 year old below) tuned into your channel, Rob. I’m 67 BTW and your instruction is as pertinent to me (old timer still playing live music) as it is to any beginner or intermediate drummer. I was an athlete at one point in my life and going over the basics always helped in taking it to the next level. Getting the foot more involved in fills is something I’m still working on and your approach helps a lot in opening up new possibilities.

I especially like that you empower us to use our own minds to develop our own drumming style and feel instead of just being good copy cats of formulas and recipes.

I've got a routine for ya that will open up a ton of ideas. Take any four bar drum fill, preferable one that uses at least four different sources. Play it forward, then backward, then backwards and forward, (loop) play in inside out, bar two, bar one, bar four, bar three, (loop) then bar four, bar three, bar one bar two. See where this is going? This also opens UP YA Ears and Gives you lots of ideas for solos.

Not just intermediate drummers run inti brick walls... i like big Beat Down Brown's lesson here. Very well. And there are several ways to knock down those brick walls. Work on new styles, start over. Work on different styles, and play to different styles. Soo many drummers stay on the genre of music that they like... learn death metal beats, or Jazz, and you will improve, and knock Down those walls. Good luck!
