- Mission style Coffee Table build. I modify the mission style design with arches on the aprons and ends. I built this with thru tenons on the legs and bottom stretcher. This video has build instructions for the woodworker to follow, with several tips.
How to build with mortise and tenons. These add a bit of craft to your project as well as strength to the table.

I could never work in that shop with so few tools buy hey, fantastic job. Kudos
WOW, professional looking piece ! Thank you for uploading your video, enjoyable to watch, I’m going to try and build this, take my time though !
Thanks very much for speeding through the boring cuts while narrating what you are doing. Excellent technique!
Glad you liked it!
Nice table! Well done!
Great build!
Thanks 😊
Nice.....I like the ears on each side. :)
Nice job.
Thank you for your comments
Very nice!
You made it look pretty easy but I'm not sure I have the confidence to try to make a Mission style table out of expensive oak but I really like the style. I'm going to do a little more research and work myself up to trying it I think. It's very expensive to buy this style already made, I've looked on Etsy and a few other places😳
Jeff,
@@DIYHGP Yes, hello?
Jeff you can build it out of different lumber but it doesn’t have the same looking and feel as mission style which is traditionally oak. the key is being able to source inexpensive lumber for any build.
@@DIYHGP Yes I've seen it made with other lumber but my favorite, especially in this style, is what some people refer to as Tiger Oak or quarter sawn oak with the early American stain. I think I'll try to search some reasonably priced lumber and go from there, thanks.
Wow looks really amazing. Do you by chance have plans available?
Yes I have plans. If you email me with that request, I will email you the plans.
Nice video! Which brand of Early American stain did you use?
I’m brings it was a brand from Lowe’s Minwax
How did you attach the top to the base?
I will use either figure 8 fasteners or Z clips to attach the top to the base.
You didn't talk about the corbels. I love the table.
Yeah I realize that after I made the video, oh well. Thanks for watching
That was a really enjoyable video, and a very nice build. I want to get into the mission style furniture myself, and this was a real inspiration.
