I bought this phone in Korea. Unlike the US version, it has an Exynos, TV tuner, and no ugly carrier branding (like AT&T, Verizon) on the back.

You should charge both first to 100%, then start the test, and what is the best in Android environment - remember you change battery/memory management whenever you want, it's not an iphone :)

Nicely done video, surprising results on the second round. US carriers only have Snapdragon SOC, I'd rather have had the Exynos for the better battery life. Though I'm not complaining about my battery life.

There should be a storage test in order to discard discrepancies in read/write, IOPS speed. That has a noticeable impact on apps launch, phone boot, etc

What's model number of Snapdragon variation of S7?
Hello @Ash, Samsung S7 gets BRICKED when trying to turn on/reconnect wifi. I have to perform Hard Reset (Vol.down+pwr button). While performing heavy network activity downloading files/folders in the background (4-5 minutes after screen turns off) wifi connection drops. If you try to reconnect wifi, the phone will lock up. At this point I have to perform a hard reset with "volume down+power button". Do you know anything about this problem or can you do a test.
Device: GS7 - Exynos - Dual Sim. CloudPlayer downloading music from online library for offline playback writing GigaBytes to SD Card.
One more detail; if you keep the phone display on (by streaming from netflix) and continue download of music library in background, the wifi does not disconnect and phone does not lock up. It feels like there's a problem with power save settings on GS7. In all test conditions the phone has been plugged in to the original power adapter, option to keep wifi connection ON was set for ALL the time.

C4ETech, big fan of yours. i recently picked up the s7 edge thanks to one of your videos. i'm having a huge dilemma here. i'm coming from an iphone. the whites are more cooler and whiter. but my whites on the s7 edge have a yellowish hue or tint to it. i tried changing the display modes, didn't work. is this happening to your edge also? if i stop the video at 0:53 seconds you can see the snapdragon has a cooler white then compared to the exynos. have you noticed this to. is this normal. thinking of talking to samsung about it. hope you reply to this early
OLED displays tend you have a hue in the whites compared to lcd displays like what the iPhone have so you either will have to deal with it or use a app that will allow you to change the color temp of your display like flux
WTF?!?! It's the Exynos that usually retains more apps and SD sucks in that respect. Something's weird here. I think, you've put the markers on the wrong sides xD At least show us in AIDA which chipsets they're sporting :)

Very interesting test, most people seem to think the Exynos is faster in Everhart use, but interesting that you found apps in memory to be inconsistent on both versions (though the SD won in your test).

memory management worked better on the exynos cause you opened it after recently. the phone closes apps after there are so many app active for memory management. so the snapdragon does have an edge there cause the average customer tends to forget to close things

The place where I bought the phone said "Snapdragon 820". But turns out when I checked the model in info it said "935F". And that model is only from europe (Exynos one).

Please do a gaming comparison between these two chipsets of S7. We all know that based on benchmarks, exynos has faster processor while the SD820 has better GPU. Now that we saw how fast exynos is in real life, I want to know how better the graphics in gaming would be in a SD820 soc.

In general, it's just a wrong test scenario in a first place. Both phones running different ROMs and versions in between because OTA updates are not synchronized around different regions. The only way you can test it accurately is to have both versions and use them over long real-life period. I have Exynos, my gf has Snapdragon, over a period of 6 months. She's always complained since beginning. And considering that my phone is crammed with hundreds of apps, running out of internal storage all the time, and tortured everyday vs. hers cherished and with few apps. Judge yourself.

Good comparison but I will nitpick on something you said about the RAM management not being a decisive factor because it is an inconsistent issue. If the Exynos variant is inconsistent in RAM management then it is an issue even if it doesn't happen all the time.

Which version is better for gaming?
The Snapdragon 820 version has a better GPU and the Exynos loses performance over the time of around 15 minutes, so I would say that the Snapdragon is better for gaming, and the Exynos is better for day to day tasks.
