Snapdragon vs Exynos on Galaxy S24 | Exynos is Burning?

  • I finally got both Snapdragon and Exynos versions of S24. I compared the performance and battery life of the Galaxy S24 Exynos 2400 to the Galaxy S24 Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. I did a speed test, GPS test, and Benchmarking using Geekbench and 3DMark and tested light and heavy gaming. I also ran social media, web browsing, camera, and other things you do daily. I then played PubG Mobile to test the gaming performance, thermals, and heating. I really wanted to know if the Exynos battery lasts longer. I will do another video to compare the gaming performance of these two phones.

I went on the canadian samsung website, the S24+ is on sale at 1400$. There's currently an offer where you can get 250$ off + a free samsung phonecase. Final price = 1150$ (=792€).
On the french samsung website the S24+ is on sale at 1170€, there's no offer nor gifts. Final price = 1170€.

@@LukeR1M on the A series they either provide unoptimised version of SD 7 Gen 1 which is a 2 year old Processor or their Good for nothing Exynos, here in India because of summer people who bought the A55 and M55 literally can't even use Video Recording at 4k 30FPS of 1080p at 60FPS, the camera literally crashes itself or burns our hands that's how hot it gets, and the A/M series is their 2nd best Lineup after their Flagship S series, their cost cutting on the Processors is not at all acceptable, except Processor the A55 is pretty solid phone for its price as it causes 2 times more than an Average Midrange Phone from Chinese Brands and feels very premium, and those Midrange Phones from Xiaomi Outperforms every single Samsung Phone except the S and Z Lineup, they literally give twice as strong SD/MTK Processors for half the price like D8300 Ultra, SD7+Gen2/3, 8s Gen 3 and even 8 Gen 3 in some phones cheaper than A55, their UI is no match for Samsung's one UI, but what's the point of the UI when Hardware can't support it, Samsung's Hardware sucks, it gets so hot people are mistaking it for a defect and even the Service Centre employees accept it as they never saw such temperatures from Samsung's 2nd Best Lineup

Speakers are louder on Samsung, sound is the same quality. Samsung is wider because the aspect ratio is 19,5:9. OnePlus has 20:9, it is on you if you wanna have more content visible or thinner. If you use a stylus and you are used, you would go for Samsung. If you make photos which you print, you would go for Samsung too. OnePlus cameras are flagship quality too. That's what I have been saying all along, on wi-fi Exynos ain't that bad but surely more likely you'll have a power socket for a quick top-up when you are in such a set-up. What matters is when you are out on the move on cellular, then every single percent of battery matters. Glad I didn't go with the Exynos variant. Even the new chipsets like Tenzor and Unisoc outperformed Exynoses at specific classes. Like the Exynos 850 to the Unisoc T606 Tiger. Or the Dimensity 1080 to the Exynos 1330. Even a lower class Helio G99/Dimensity 700/Dimensity 920 can outperform the higher class and newer Exynos 1280 SoC by a certain margin. They offer the same architecture and kinds of CPU but guess what, the non Exynos would always perform better in short term use nor even long term. I'm just scared if Samsung drops their crappy Exynos chipsets to their lower class models I would never buy their phones again. architecture and kinds of CPU but guess what, the non Exynos would always perform better in short term use nor even long term. The definitive comparison we have all been waiting for. Disappointing result for those that own the global version. The gap was more substantial than we initially thought. Samsung is so too big to fail now they can pull a move like this and still get away with it sadly. One can only hope their 'day one' software update gets released soon so we can closen the gap.

Thanks for this detailed comparison, this make me understand better the differences, Snapdragon should still be the first choice then Mediatek when buying an Android phone. I hope this video will be reached more and your channel will have more subscribers.

Man, I hate how Samsung makes smartphones with different specs and markets them with the exact same name. It's something extremely misleading and fishy that's been happening for years.

good job Techmo. I bought S22 based on youtubers reviews stating the battery may be not the best but still OK. This made me to ignore some alarming customer reviews in the net. In practice S22 (Exynos) battery live is pretty poor. I compare it with S23 (snapdragon). Though I know this is not quite fair as S23 is newer technology and in my case 7 months newer device, there is no contest between two in battery life. Screen on time 9h vs short of 6h, screen off 65h vs 27h. I'm not a gamer so I assumed heat dissipation test is not important for me. Until I got into a car in sunny day with my nav and MS Teams on simultaneously. S22 overheated, dimmed screen and eventually shut down. I would be very, very cautious with exynos again, even if reviews are positive. so they were for S22.

Well said, what people don't notice is GPU unit is also busy processing videos, AI tasks, and lots of other graphics on your phone, also image processing. It's not only about gaming, but gaming highlights the weaknesses of a GPU better.
